Rhea stood as the the stares darted between each of the tributes and noticed as Heppa aimed her arrow at Kaspar. Rhea's eyes widened, and Heppa asked if he was with her. "Yes, and if you touch him I will kill you." A rush of adrenaline hit her, she made her first death threat. It wasn't the same as when she stopped Chaos from attacking Genevieve, but was instead a serious call to action.

But before anyone really had a chance to attack any other tribute a pack of foxigator mutts popped out from the borders now showing its attention to the tributes. They snarled and bared their teeth. There were 8 of them, one for each tribute it seemed. Rhea brought up her spear as the one meant for her moved in her direction. She composed herself after her initial fear, that brought her weapon up to try and deflect the blow. She pushed it away and as it lay on the ground she rushed to it. Its defenses were down, the perfect time for a hit. She jabbed the bladed end towards the disgusting mutt as hard as she could, hoping to hit the thing.

Rhea stabbed the mutt and waited a moment to see if it would get up. She hoped it wouldn't, that it would be dead. But of course that was not the case because in an instant the mutt got up and ran towards her ready to attack. It was angry now, and snarled at her sending its body in an attack towards her. She moved herself to the side, hoping that she would be able to miss its first attack completely. She then pivoted and faced the mutt. She swung the spear hitting it with the butt of the weapon then swinging it again so that the blade would come down and hit the mutt.

Heppa Duskdale

Heppa grinned when her attack landed on the mutt's leg, weakening it. One more hit should do it... Heppa launched the arrow she had readied earlier and attempted to sprint back from the mutt's attacks. Heppa saw Rhea kill one of the foxigators and nodded to her. "Nice hit!" As far as Heppa knew, they were still allies and Heppa didn't need another person turning against her. Besides, Rhea was pretty good with a knife. Kaspar worried Heppa though. Obviously, Rhea favored him. Heppa decided she would wait to kill him, Genevieve would be first. Heppa tucked a tuft of hair behind her ear and readied another arrow, this time pointed at Genevieve.

I was about to say something back to Heppa and possibly hit her but that was when mutts came our way, a whole eight of them and we had to kill them before they killed us but chances are we'd all come out with wounds but we'd still be alive and that way we'd all be weakened, hopefully. I took one of my swords to fend off the mutt attacking me and then I slashed at it with my other sword, hoping to hit.

He managed to smack the creature out of the way, but that was only because it had managed to twist in midair and avoid his attack. The gator crashed to the ground and thrashed for a moment before righting itself with a flick of its tail. Beady eyes regarded him for a moment and then it was launching toward him once again. Kas brought one axe up in an underhand swipe, at the same time bringing the second axe across to - hopefully - knock that vicious snout away from his face.

Kas risked a glance down into the pit. Rhea seemed to be doing well - better than him anyway. But so did the District 2 girl who had just dispatched hers. She would be tough competition, especially with that bow.

Genevieve gave a small sigh of relief as she managed to block the mutt's first attack. She also managed to land a hit on it, which was pretty goo. She leaped back and stared at it apprehensively. It was going to attack again, she knew it. She just had to be readyf or it. The district 8 girl leaped back as the foxigator attacked again. But this time it attacked twice, so it still smacked into her, sending her flying. Genevieve quickly scrambled to her feet and glared at the mutt. Then she leaped forward and stabbed it with her spear, hoping to land a blow.

Skye scowled when saw himself miss and the mutt came back at him. He tried to push it away, a little further this time before jumping back, sliding his sword under his belt before pulling out his bow and launched an arrow at the horrible beast. The release of the arrow felt even better than the slash of the sword. But he couldn't keep using his arrows. Skye used it this time, hoping to wound it badly first, aiming straight at its eye.

Josh was happy about his succesful attack. the mutt was his biggest concern now. he jabbed at its face. and attempted to parry the oncoming bite. hopefully he could make it out alive

josh jumped at the creature before it had the chance to attack. he smiled as he saw the gift fall from the sky for maria. he hoped he hit the awkwad looking creature. he definitley wanted it dead.

I looked up and noticed the parachute and gift come my way. I had a sponsor gift? I'd open it after I attacked the mutt. I took my sword and put force into it as I tried to attack the mutt. Then I opened the present with my other sword and found a butterfly sword.. Only one but it'd be good. "Rhea!" I called out and then threw her the sword. "Give your spear to Kaspar." I said and then picked up my butterfly sword. It'd be good for blocking and attacking.

Rhea panted as she stood over the dead mutt. She stabbed it a few more times just to make sure it was dead. "Rhea. Give Kaspar your spear." She turned as she heard her name and saw Maria toss the sword towards her. She let it fall on the ground in front of her and picked it up. It was lighter than the spear and was more one handed. She ran as fast as she could towards Kaspar.

He was fighting his own foxigator mutt, the thing snarled and snapped at him. She wished she could help him, but to get to where he was would mean she would have to climb some. She held her spear in her hand. Its weight now a comfort to her, she had this weapon the whole games and it proved to be the best choice possible. It was great for defense and offense. But she knew Kaspar was desperate for a spear and with a sword now placed nicely in her hand she would give it to the one person she could trust with it. "Kaspar! Nice hit, here's for you." Rhea threw the spear up letting it land near enough for him to grab.

She ran back to the group, Heppa had shifted her attention to Genevieve and Josh had dispatched his own mutt. Rhea nodded towards them, giving her own show of approval at their skills. She looked to Maria who had seemed to have some trouble hitting the speedy creature. Rhea ran to her, the sword now at her side and swung. It was lightweight and it felt so different compared to the spear she had grown accustomed to. She felt like with this new weapon she could move a bit faster, and maybe even put more momentum behind her attack, or at least that was how it felt.

Heppa noticed that Maria got a gift from a sponsor. It was a fancy sword, obviously very expensive. Heppa sighed and wondered if her and Maria were still allies. She doubted it. Heppa's last blow had killed the mutt that had focused on her, and she had a chance to attack Genevieve. But, something told her not to. Instead, she went for Maria's mutt, hoping to finish it off. Heppa then gave an expressionless look at Maria and readied another arrow. She pulled the arrows out of her dead mutt and put them with her other arrows. Heppa aimed her arrow at Genevieve, but waited to attack. She needed to think things through strategically.

Skye hit one of the limbs of his mutt, causing it to falter back a little. He pulled out his sword again and dashed towards the beast as he pulled out the arrow swiftly, causing it the squirm in pain for a short while, confiscating back the arrow. He then swung his sword straight at it, hoping to hit a blow on it. And hopefully a deadly one too. He took a step back, watching his mutant opponent intently. He could only hope for the death of it, but if not, more fun for Skye. Though he'd rather pay attention towards the other tributes who had killed off their own mutts. Right behind that he saw a parachute landing right beside Maria. He wondered if Hunter was even helping them look for sponsors. But he could only blame himself for not making a better impression to get sponsors for himself.

Genevieve breathed a sigh of a relief as her mutt did not attack. In fact, none of the mutts attacked. Instead a sponsor gift dripped down to Maria. Genevieve half watched her and half watched the foxigator. It turns out that it was a sword. It looked like it was a special type though. Genevieve sighed, remembering how good Maria was with a sword. Rhea had been good too. And Kaspar had been quite good with his spear. And now they all had their preferred weapons. Genevieve pushedthat thought out of her mind. First she had to kill this mutt. Sheeaped forward and attacked with her spear.

Maria's mutt had fallen, now a pile of fur and scales in the moss. Rhea looked round, there were only a few more left and the other tributes were now starting to turn their attention to their next victims. Rhea looked up, looking for Kaspar's current situation.

He hadn't had a chance to attack before the mutt started to ready for another attack. "Kaspar!" The scream came from her instinctively. Rhea sprinted as fas as she could muster. She climbed towards him, trying to make it to him before the beast could hurt him anymore. He wouldn't die from this thing if she could help it. She grabbed her knife, knowing full well what she planned to do next would bring her up close and personal with the abomination. She ran, full speed ahead tackling it away from its target. She could only hope she had been quick enough to fully stop the attack before it managed to get Kaspar. Rhea lifted her knife, and drove it down as hard as she could hoping to hit it one last time and kill it.

Heppa grinned when Genevieve's mutt attacked her again. This was Heppa's chance to catch her off guard. Heppa was glad she had waited until now. Heppa yanked out her arrow from the torso of Maria's mutt and shot it at Genevieve, hoping to hit or better yet kill. Heppa wet her lips which were dry and cracked from lack of water. She took a swig from her water bottle, leaving only a gulp left. She threw her water bottle to Rhea and Maria, they were probably thirsty too. Then Heppa noticed Rhea trying to protect Kaspar. Heppa went over and tried to pull the mutt away from him. She needed at least a few people on her side, and if Rhea was allies with Kaspar, then Heppa was too.

I noticed that Genevieve was still fighting her mutt so I went over and tried striking the mutt. Other's helped me so I'd help her and hopefully I hit. I could tell there wasn't much life left in the mutt.
