Escape, hopefully

Right after running to Skye, the blade struck her and she fell. It had punctured something important. Probably her stomach or lung. She smiled weakly at Skye. “This is it, Skye,”she murmured. “My death. Skye......”she gulped painfully and said “Try your best. For me. Megan. goodbye. Be safe, Skye Walker, ”her words were almost unhearable. She looked at the boy, her fellow tribute, who had tried so hard to save her. But in the end....it didn‘t work. She closed her green eyes, now glassy and lifeless, and welcomed death.she saw the boy who, she had waited for so many years. She smiled, smiled the smile she thought she would never regain.
RIP Megan Shard, district 4 girl tribute.

"Aw, Heppa darling. There's no need to be jealous that I have someone to help me and you don't." Genevieve's point was proven even further as Maria attacked Heppa. Now she really had no one. She was on her own, and Genevive was goingto help Maria. She couldn't dodge both of them. Hopefully she would hit this time. Genevieve shoved another pill in her mouth and slashed out at Heppa with her knife. Shedanced back, surprised she hadn't been targeted. Heppa had switched to Skye. But there was need for Genevieve to try and block him, Heppa had missed. Genevieve looked around quickly, and that was when she noticed Snow's spear. That would be much easier than a knife, well fir attacking Heppa anyway. She lunged forward and grabbed it, pushing her knife into her belt at tue same time. Now she night actually start hitting people.

The sounds from the moss pit were getting louder and Kas broke into a sprint, pounding along behind Rhea. Each axe was tightly ensconced in a clenched hand, ready to respond whatever the situation. His shoulder smashed into a dead branch that was hanging limply from a tree, tearing the rotten wood from the trunk and sending it spiraling into the undergrowth. He slowed his pace as he reached the edge of the clearing surrounding the moss pit, so much so that by the time he entered the clearing he was strolling. Kas crouched at the edge of the moss pit, quickly taking in what had happened. Several bodies lay sprawled through the clearing, one of which was barely recognizable as a human any more. His face paled slightly. He could handle dead people, but that thing looked like a boulder had dropped on it.

Rhea gave him a nod and he relaxed his grip on the axes slightly, neither moving down into the moss pit nor backing away. It was obvious that they'd reached a break in the fighting and it might go better for them if they entered with words, rather than weapons.

Before any kind of discussion could begin there was a series of growls and then a mass of moving, clawing, screeching bodies were tumbling into the area. Seven of them flowed down the sides of the pit, leaping on the tributes, but one detached itself and came after Kaspar.

Kas backed warily away from the edge, raising the axes in front of him. The mutt was an ugly mix of fur and scales, of jagged teeth and snout. The Gamemakers really seemed to be going all out with the mutts these games. Alligator things, giant plants and some kind of huge beast that had obviously crushed the tribute down in the pit. Where was the old 'let the tributes kill each other' mentality. At least with the other tributes you knew they weren't going to sprout another head or something equally ridiculous.

The Gator snapped at him, letting out another raspy screech. Kas jerked backward as the creature leapt at him with jaws wide open. He whipped one crescent blade round in a slash, aiming to tear open its stomach. He swung the other axe at the gator's head, hoping to smash it away and stop it tearing into him. He hadn't even fought another tribute yet and he was already half dead.

Josh was going to continue talking about how he wanted an organized group. And how they already had enough people in the first place. But Then a mutt jumped out and he knew that was the biggest concern. He attempted to block it and then strike it.
