I pull out the sword and hold it at my side, then walk over and pick my spear out of the ground with my other hand, "You two okay?" I say, regarding Brook and Milo, mainly Brook.

I pursued my lips taking my sword out of the girl and the Canon sounded. Thinking on a whim I bent down and quickly kissed the girls cheek. "Resquiate en pace." I whispered in her ear knowing she couldn't hear me. "I will carry your message so long as I breathe the air." my hand tightened around the ring. Her last words had been her screaming plead of want. I couldn't give it back to her though, if Milo died I would bring it to James myself.

I watched the change in Brook take place, was it sudden guilt that had built itself up? I help out her sword to her. "We have to move, the lake will give us water, and if she had allies, they will get here once they figure out they're missing someone"

My last moments of life were not pleasant. Knowing that she had my ring. My ring of promise. I promised James that I would make it out of here so I could marry him. If I could just feel his lips against mine once more I'd be fine and happy to die. These were not the only thoughts that milled about in my head, I wondered what Life would be like on the other side as I faded out. My last thought was that my death had made things just a bit easier for everyone else to survive. I silently wished good luck upon everyone else in the arena, and hoped my message would make it to James.

I stood up straight and nodded, "Lets go get our supplies first. I'll change some bandages and we'll be on our way. Alright?" I asked. My head was clearing, that life or death instictual overdrive that had boosted my anguish at Firefly was gone.

I nodded, heading back to pick up our supplies. we reached our camp and I quickly picked up the things I had left out and shoved them into my pack, which felt a little full. "Who wants to carry the extra sleeping bag?"

Milo watched the entire killing with a mutual expression. While they took care of her, he held a spear at ready- who knew when he'd have to defend them against other enemies? But he knew he couldn't help them, he'd probably get in the way. For the first time, Milo questioned Brooks' sanity. He didn't like what showed through at different times. And how many had she killed in the bloodbath? Two? Three? His brow darkened. Brook was not going to die, and when she won he would see to it that she still held on to her sanity. Somehow.

I walked to Milo my thoughts still burned with the Image of Firefly screaming for the ring. "What do you think.." I asked rubbing my head, "She died in her own arrogance."

Milo shook his head, "Your arm..." he blinked a few times because of the blood. But he'd have to get used to it.

"Fine." I said clenching my jaw, "Help me will you?" I pulled down the top of my coat ripping the arrow free in the process which wrangled a painfilled gasp from me. Finally I had secured the new bandage. "Better?" I asked angrily.

Milo studied her face, his expression unreadable. Then he turned and started collecting supplies. "We're not in a good position," he told the group, "I'd like to move to higher point so we have the advantage in an attack."

Milo calmly disagreed. "Though it'll be cold, I think a mountain would be better. I think it would benefit us to view the entire arena from a higher place. I'm not saying we have to sleep up there, I'd just like to see everything so we can plan future moves."

For a moment, a selfish thought flickered across his mind. She's choosing Jacob's ideas over mine. He shook his head to clear it. He had to trust her if she was getting out alive. "Water first," he said agreeably, trying to decipher what the look Brook shot him meant.
