I wasn't going to die like this, this was a shameful death. A death that had interested the Capitol. I bet they were loving watching me die. How truly cruel this was. I rolled over to face Brook. "Injuring me this much is to kill me, slowly. I may not have much energy left but I could just as easily take that knife and commit suicide." I said, then I coughed, a red liquid came out, blood.

I was starting to wonder where the gentle healers nature of Brook had gone, this seemed a little odd for her, it would be smarter to just kill the girl and get it over with, but those weren't wise thoughts to say out loud. "you should check for other weapons first, she said something about a knife"

Vanessa reached out and took the bow and quiver from Jacob. She swung the quiver over her shoulder and hugged the bow to her chest. She'd never thought she would be so happy to see a bow before. Then, she watched the scene between Firefly and Brook and started to feel sick to her stomach. Van reached out a hand to grasp Brook's arm. "Look, we've won. There's no need to torture her anymore, is there?" She pointed out to her.

I looked over at Vanessa, unsure, 'You or me?' I mouth. I didn't know if she was looking for this one, but it seemed right to agree on it.

Vanessa bit her lip, and glanced at Jacob. She shrugged helplessly and looked at the dying girl at their feet, gulping.

I nod and look down, I got what it meant. "Sorry" I muttered to the girl, hoping she knew death was better than Brook was hoping to give. I back up a step, gulp, and throw my spear at the already broken girl, hoping it brings her a quick death.

"I'm not waiting all night for this." I replied turning my sword in my hands and plunging it downwards into ~~~ Will edit when I see hit ~~~ "There finish her off." I snarled. "Kill the girl. We all know what she's like." I looked at Van with intense pain in my eyes, behind all my rage was my hurt self begging to get out. I had gone almost completely insane.

I screamed. This was it. I was going to die. "Listen, If any of you make it out of here and go to 10, you have to tell James Halloway that I love him!" I said, hopefully they heard me.

I casually leaned down and plucked the ring off her finger leaving sword In her body. I pocketed the ring, "I'll see that he gets this back from his hooker girlfriend."

"GIVE IT BACK!" I screamed, tearing my lungs apart. I had tears streaming down my face and If I hadn't been so mortally injured I would have killed her for that.

I walked past my spear, firmly planted in the ground at her back, I hadn't the willpower to do it then, but the action Brook had just committed was so cruel, to leave the sword there, and insult her in such a way, I felt compelled to end this now and find out what was going on with Brook. I took the sword by the hilt, ripped it out of the girl, and swung it hard at her again.

Vanessa closed her eyes as she caught a glimpse of Brook's sword going into Firefly. Then Van grimaced when she heard the high-pitched screams from Firefly. When the screaming stopped, she opened her eyes to see Jacob standing over the body with a blood-stained sword in his hand. "Well, we don't have to worry about her anymore..." She whispered quietly, not taking her eyes of the limp body of Firefly.

I grimaced, "It was a bit bloodier than I'd thought it would be" I say. Looking around, I nod at the group, "We should move, if she had any allies near, they will be coming, might see the hovercraft, it'd be better to be a bit away by then" I say, pointing towards the far off lake, "I suggest that way, we could all use a drink" I check her pack and find a sleeping bag, I stuff it in with my other things, "Now we have 3"

Taking a deep breath, Vanessa snapped out of her unblinking gaze. She nodded, "I agree." Van said, reaching up to the strap of the quiver, which was slipping off her shoulder. Remembering that it once belonged to Firefly, her hand froze halfway. She quickly removed the thought from her head and adjusted the strap, though Vanessa knew the guilt would never leave her.
