What I did next was idiotic. It could cause me my life, but I couldn't think.Marnie got stuck in this dungeon somehow..... I don't quite remember. But if I died I wanted somebody to tell Esther something for me. It should be her or Nate. Not this..... Beast that was attacking. The beast was so close....... Luckily I was the only one who knew how to use a spear up close. In my mind I saw myself skydiving. Except I had no harness. I also wasn't in the sky. I was in a hole and at the bottom were rocks. I had been thrown there. Thrown by a person. Someone. I knew I was going to die while I was falling. But I had a choice. I could die as who I used to be, a cocky jerk, or I could die a good man. Then my choice had been made. In a split second, I had positioned my spear like I had learned many years ago for an up close hit. I stabbed at the bloodthirsty girl. "If you like blood, you'll enjoy how you will look soon!" I said in a weak tone. I was still my weak version. I am still insane. I am still Hunter Smith. But I'm changed. I'm being pushed too hard by the Gamemakers. Then I couldn't form words anymore. "AARAHGAH!!!"

I breathed out heavily and notched another arrow. 15 left. Come on Marnie, you can do this.. You can shoot straight can't you? You're just nervous. It's also dark. Don't blame yourself for missing. I left the arrow fly and waited. She hoped it hit Star somewhere vital, somewhere it'd kill her.

~Dang! Hunter's a good shot when it's dark... and Star has far to much will. two arrows to the arm, and a spear and arrow to the leg. Bravo! xD~

I listen to the shouts and sounds of battle. Not a comforting sound when it's cold and you can't see. I take the butt of the spear and hit it to the cold stone floor. The spark was a lot of warmth and comfort until I realized that they knew where I was, AGAIN! I step backwards and sideways, and begin slipping on the ice. Eventually I skid my way to a stop, with the sounds of battle still going on. I needed to find a way off this ice, but that'd be really hard.

Suddenly, as she was impaled with a spear and an arrow, Star's mind flashed through her most recent memories. She gasped. "Oh, my god... what's wrong with me?" she asked to know one in particular. Her eyelids fluttered, lips slightly parted, her mind racing. "I can't... this isn't right, I... I've got to..." she stuttered, collapsing on the floor. Her eyes rolled backwards in her head for a moment as she contemplated her actions. "I have... to fix... this..." she managed to get out. Her gaze fell upon the spear in her hands, bloodied with the pain of another tribute. I have to share that pain, Star' delusional mind decided, and she turned her spear around, stabbing it into her gut. She looked at Marnie with the sad, helpless expression of the little 13-year-old girl she really was. "Kill me..." she begged, knowing that any second she would go insane again and start stabbing everyone in sight.

I took one of Star's spears right out of her hands. (Minor action)I still couldn't talk, but I nodded when Star said kill me. I knew what she meant. I gave her sad eyes that said I'm sorry and positioned my hands on the spear again. I needed to do the up close attack. I aimed at stabbed my spear at Star, and did it in a way that wouldn't be too painful. She deserves a non painful death. I waited to hear the sickening sound of my spear burrowing itself into her body.

I nodded. Poor Star. She was going insane. I aimed my bow once more after Hunter had hit her in the leg. Only 14 arrows left. I hoped I could retrieve them when I was done. If I lived. I shot my arrow at Star, aiming to make the pain less painful and to let her die peacefully.

Star collapsed on the floor, giggling uncontrollably. Her rational mind shut off, and basic survival instincts took over. Kill, Star. Kill. Her natural fight-or-flight demanded. And with that, she forgot that she had pleaded for death, grabbed her spear, and followed her instincts. She attacked Marnie's leg, clawing at it and jamming the tip of her spear into the flesh. She screamed as the pain in her own wounds intensified with the sudden movement, and began trying to rip up the wall in agony. She screamed again, a long, drawn-out scream that echoed all her misery, all her insanity, all her pitiful helplessness in one blow, pitchy and scratchy and, oddly enough, full of hope. Star continued to scream. She let out every last bit of hope and humanity she had in her until 'Star Caelum' was gone and only a shell of who she used to be was left. The barely-alive carcass of a girl lying on the floor who had once been a real person took a deep breath, and let herself overflow with despair...

The sound of Star's blood on the floor pained me to hear. Even though she was a deranged sociopath in the games, she was a rather fun person to be around during the training time. I realize it's about time for me to enter into the fight. With a steady hold to my spear, I push off the stone wall with my feet, sending me rather quickly to the ground again. The cold was now sending chills up and down my spine and it was something that was hard to take. Maybe if the adrenalin kicked in, I wouldn't feel it. I take a few steps forward and brace myself for the attacks that were soon to come.

I screamed in pain and fell backwards, leaning towards Hunter. My stomach had been sliced by a spear and it was pure agony. I placed a weak hand on the blood that continued to spill out. I raised my bow shakily and aimed for Star, wanting to kill her with all my might. I then attempted to block myself from her hits... if she lived.

Star had gone away. Her body was left with a killer demon inside. Stop laughing hon, it isn't funny. She deserved to not be this moster. Sadly, the only way is to do what the real Star wants. Kill the demon. We won't be killing Star, she's already gone. I positioned my spear again for another close up and stabbed at her.

Lying on the ground, Star's body could tell it was dying. Her mind had given up, but it knew as well, and fought for control. For a moment, Star was back. She blinked, gazed at all the blood, and broke out into a bright smile. Apologetically, but still with a pleased expression on her face, she whispered, "Sorry. I do adore blood, you know." A second later, her mind withered away again. However, now that she had once more become slightly rational, something in her brain clicked. Only one of us gets out alive.

The corners Star's mouth turned upwards again, but this time it was much less genuine. She looked a lot like some sort of creepy marionette or child's doll. Only one of us gets out alive. She raised her spear, and automatically tilted her head to what seemed like the biggest threat:Hunter. Going on automatic, it was only natural that her immediate threat would be perceived as the one who had been much more effective in injuring her. She crawled forward as best she could, her stomach and bare fingertips as the major transportation unit, and glared up at the D4 boy. Only one...

She took her spear and jammed it towards him, not really aiming, just trying to get it moving forward. She couldn't really tell if it had hit him, so she clawed his leg like she had Marnie's and bit down hard on Hunter's shin. Star growled eerily and scuttled over to the corner. She looked up at them all with big, bambi-like dark eyes. "Only one..." she murmured, voice raspy, "gets out-" Star's back arched, and she coughed, the ground spattering with her blood like spray paint. She turned her head slightly to the left, her tangled hair falling in front of her face, and shook with the last word of the phrase her body was living by. "Alive."

Same. Severe leg and arm injuries, can't walk. Bleeding everywhere. Dying. Making her creator feel like she gave up on her and like she should feel guilty or Star will come and kill her. Sad

I was going hungry in a hurry. What I was doing was a part of my necessary survival. While the three continued to fight I stayed over in my corner. Despite all that, I was starving. I take a frayed end of the rope and make a nice solid knot around my pinky finger, and after several hours, I take the end of my spear and remove it. Assuming I had cut off the circulation, the removal of my finger would've been painful. It sucked taking off my own finger, but it would provide some food. Before I ate it I took a little strip of leather and tied it around the stub of a finger I had left. Then I feasted on my own finger. Until the bones were clean, I ate. Then I took my spear and jabbed it into the shallow ice and picked up the shards. I place the bits of ice in my mouth and drink what I can from them. I was now listening to the sounds of battle.

~Sorry for doing all of that. I'm going to be gone for a few days, and I didn't want him to, you know... die of starvation. I'll take a few points off my health if asked.~
