I walk out of the tunnel and grin at the cave before me. This was perfect, water, and, possibly? I quickly made my way to the water and stuck my finger in the water, and then licked it. Yep, "Freshwater" I muttered to myself, satisfied. I got up and looked around the room, looking for any ways out. "There has to be some way to get out of this place" I tell myself.

I walked into the cave behind Flint. I saw the water and went up to it. I cupped it in my hands and drank from that, it was fresh water, and I enjoyed every drop of it. I untied the rope around my waist and got my bucket, I dipped it into the water getting a little bit of it and set the bucket aside, better to drink out of that than drink from my dirty hands. I began to drink a little bit more but only enough to satisfy my thirst. Hopefully it would do me for awhile. I then began to search around the cave with Flint, trying to find a way out of the dungeons, hopefully we'd find one and get out of this death zone.

Items: Rope, bucket(little bit of water in it), bow, arrows (x18)

As they look around for a way out they notice the only lightsource is through the flow of water in the ceiling which seemed to be reflecting light into the cavern.

I look up at the ceiling. There was light coming from behind the water. The pool was fed by something on the surface? "you have got to be kidding me" I say, frowning. I walk over to the edge of the water closest to the hole, and saw it was not completely submerged by the flow, there was some breathing room up there.

"Lets get out of here" I say. I jump over and grab the ledge, keeping my face out of the flow of water. I pull myself up and grip the insides with my arms. "Are you coming or not?" I ask Estrella, offering a hand to pull her up.

I was shocked, I didn't quite like this, I couldn't swim, and I was certainly short so I probably would have to. What about Nathan? He was still behind. I let out a small sigh, I couldn't wait and surely he'd figure it out wouldn't he? and he'd possibly have Hunter to help him. I walked over to my bucket and dumped the water out, I tied it back to my waist the way it was and walked back over to the water.

Flint was now in the water and I was asked if I was coming, I had to go. This place didn't really fancy me and I'd most likely die or be in even more danger, if I went with Flint at least I wouldn't be alone. I nodded my head and took his hand to help pull me up, it was no problem at all considering I was small compared to him. "I can't swim." I said simply looking at Flint.

"Wait!" I had been running through the dungeon to to water. I saw Flint and Estrella going into the water. "WAIT!" I shouted again, this time louder. "Do you want to drown?!" I ran over. "Get out! Get out of the water!"

Sorry for the slight Godmoding here.

As Flint and Estrella went through the hole in the roof rocks collapsed behind them, effectively shutting the passage and stopping the water flow, that way was now impassable. Unfortunately for Hunter he forgot to check where he was watching and as he made the last few steps was hit by points darts.

I should've been more careful. Before I know it I am being hit with something. It stabs itself in me. I give a quick scream, and fall. Now I really can't think. The pain makes it hard to breathe. can only form a few words. "Sponsors? Please?"

I hear someone scream and run towards the way Flint, Hunter, and Estrella went. There's a wall of rubble and Hunter's on the ground with darts in him. I run next to him and hesitate touching him. He seems to hate me, and I don't wanna anger him. Still, I lift his upper body and lean him against me.

As Marnie aproaches the fallen tribute a sudden thought passes through her head. "Now's the time, he's down and weakened, if I put on a show they might let me out of these dungeons."

I finish running through the tunnel and find Hunter leaning against Marnie, and Estrella and Flint long gone. Gasping, I manage to speak. "How... the heck... do you run... that fast?" I was still unarmed and I didn't like the idea of being in a room with nothing but water and two careers. Meh, at least I know how to fight. I finally gain my breath and look up. "Oh my God, what happened?" I ask moving closer. Then I hesitate to move. Hunter was clearly injured and the new stone wall gave away that Flint and Ella was somewhere up there, and possibly injured from the trap. Moving would be what killed me in this hell hole.

I looked down at Hunter, a sudden thought going through my head. Hunter's very weak, and this would be the time to kill him. I took out my arrow, ready to kill him, but a pain hit me in the side, the feeling of guilt. I rubbed his head. Nathan walked in the room, and I looked up at him. "Ella's somewhere with Flint," I said.

"Uh." I groaned. I tried to form words. Again, I could only think about sponsors. "Sponsors?" I say weakly. I pull one dart out of me. It's covered in my blood. I pulled out another one. It had even more blood.

I covered the spot where Hunter pulled out the dart. "Come on Hunter, don't die. I can't kill you cause that's inhumane. We're all gonna die in here anyways," I said ranting. I thought for a moment. "Do you want me to do it?" I asked.

I laid Hunter back on the ground and notched an arrow in my bow. We needed to get out. Maybe they'd let us out if Hunter was gone. I had to. I let my arrow fly towards Hunter's stomach and waited for the outcome.

"Marnie!" I shout more out of instinct then anything else. The arrow hits hit arm and I gasp. Then I realize that this was best. Tears stream down my face as I take the rope and lash Hunter with it. "I'm sorry hunter!" I sob. "Maybe it's best this way. I hope you'll see Ester soon.

I knew what was going on. Luckily, I always had a spear in my hand. Though, I still couldn't think straight. They betrayed me. I saw the cut on my arm. I smile for some reason. "All of the districts think we are the heartless ones. The ones that only care about the games." I touch my wound. Then some tears start falling down my face and my smile fades. "But I was so in love! I'll never have the chance to tell Esther how much I truly live her! And you wouldn't care! You've shown that you couldn't care less! I trusted you to get me back to her!" Then I say angrily, "You. Killed. My love." in a last defense, I take my spear and throw it at Nathan.

It was at that moment, when the ground behind Nathan caved in, when he ducked the spear he lost his balance and fell down the hole about 10 feet. There was nothing bad on the bottom, but the fall was good enough to leave some bruises. And the message behind it was clear. "Marnie started this fight. It's hers to finish."

"Selene. Please. Please. Please. Please. This is self defense. We can stop this! PLEASE!" blood was quickly coming out of where the darts were and my arm. I felt my mouth fill with blood. "Aragh!" I spit out my mouthful of blood just to get another mouthful. I now really couldn't think straight. I threw my spear at Marnie, hoping it would hit her and I wasn't caring where it would.

"LET ME OUT OF HERE!!!" I yell beating against the stone walls the closed me in. I had a rope that I could use to get out of here, but that'd be a little bit hard without anyone helping me out. I sit down on the floor of this hole and listen to the sounds of battle above. "Hunter. I'm sorry," I say quietly whipping the last of the tears from my eyes.
