Thrown away like garbage

Shaun immediately started putting in the next row of numbers when he saw the eight one flash green. He did his best to block out the singing so that he could focus on finishing the numbers. Once he was done he stepped back a bit and went to look at Zeke, but caught the eye of the sirens again. He gulped nervously, his grip tightening on his sword. He turned his head slightly towards Zeke, but kept his eyes on the sirens. "Zeke...don't do anything stupid, alright? I only have two more rows...then we're fine..."

Shaun grit his teeth together when he saw the numbers flash red and tried to use that anger to drown out the sirens. He heard Zeke tell him to hurry up to which he replied, "I'm doing my best over here, calm down..." He immediately began changing some of the numbers, this time making sure to not look at the sirens at all...he didn't need to get lured by them. That wasn't the way he was gonna go...not at all.

Shaun fumbled with the dials of the last row when he saw the ninth flash green, wanting to finally end this damn riddle. Once he was finally done with that he looked over at Zeke when he spoke and nodded his head in response. Those things sure knew how to get in their heads. He was going to look back at the dials, a foolish decision, as he locked eyes with the siren who was grinning. He noticed that they looked slightly pissed off but the middle one...he didn't even feel himself drowning in her eyes, let alone that he was slightly walking forward...he moved his arm forward, but felt a weight and remembered he was carrying a sword. With that, he snapped back to reality and backed away quickly, almost falling down in his haste. He looked back towards Zeke, gulping, and said, "I hate these things man...I really do..."

Shaun had correctly guessed the last row, which flashed green. A series of stone pillars rose out of the water, and a large wooden chest could now be seen across the river. However, the sirens were still between the boys and the chest, milling around the stone pillars, and did not look happy. The auburn-haired young siren and the older siren lunged at Shaun. The dark-haired young siren lunged at Zeke.

First two trap dice to Shaun, last roll to Zeke. The two younger sirens each have 30HP, and the older has 40HP.

The final row unlocked something pretty cool. Stone pillars rose, and eventually a chest. He gestured for Shaun to open it, but it was too late. They'd need to do some serious fighting. The sirens seemed mad that they unlocked the chest, and whatever was it in it. They went after the boys from four and eight. "Oh. Sirens get mad? Well, fuck off." He smirked, raising his shield up to the siren that attacked him. The one that used to be Sera. The one he thought he liked, but her dumb brother got in the way. "Hey Sera. If you're listenin'.. I'm sorry for letting you die once.. and killing you again.. here." Zeke's cute glowing sword launched at the one that used to be Sera. Go Zeke go! Win boy win! He could hear his District chanting for him, wanting him to win, at least this battle. But.. Zeke didn't want to win. He lived his life of luxury living in almost a huge mansion (not as big as the Victor's Village mansions.. but close to it). He wanted to give that feeling to someone else. Someone who needed it. Zeke took a step back, motioning to Shaun. "Open it. Maybe we'll having matching glow weapons." Zeke said with a smirk, readying his next attack.

Shaun finally managed to finish the puzzle. Stuff was rising out of the water and everything...and his prize was just across the river. One problem of course. The God damn sirens. Shaun's grip on his weapon and he started shaking a bit. Not out of fear or from being nervous but from pure anger that these sons of bitches would dream of blocking his way to what he had been wanting for too long. Shaun moved the the side in an attempt to block the first attack and then raised his shield for the second. After the attacks were done, he looked towards the auburn haired siren and immediately lunged at her, an unintelligible cry of fury escaping his lips, not even noticing what Zeke had said about getting to the chest.

First block to first mutt die, second block to second mutt die. Pretty sure I'm using the shield thing right...pretty sure

Both of the younger sirens collapsed and sank into the ocean, where they disintegrated. The older one remained, and lunged at Shaun again with a vengeance for killing her sisters.

The two younger sirens of the trio were dead. He didn't see them any more as they sank into the ocean, off to sea. Zeke smiled, but felt a big of hurt in his body. The Sera Siren was hitting him, and only the middle one remained. "One more, Shaunie!" Zeke saw it try to attack his ally once more, but he tried not to let it happen. He raised his shield in front of the pathetic Siren, hoping to keep Shaun from taking damage. He then turned over to his trusty sword. "You've gotten your blood.. precious." Zeke spoke to the sword like it was a real person. Another slash, hopefully the last, went to the last Siren..

Shaun had managed to block both attacks and grinned as he saw the one he attacked fall. But then he looked to the side and saw the older siren attack once more and raised his shield instinctively...but saw Zeke block the attack for him. He nodded to him in thanks, but also noticed that he was hurt...must've been the other siren. Shaun felt a pang of guilt for not helping him out with that, but before he could apologize, he watched as Zeke cut down down the older siren with one hit. Shaun's jaw dropped, but it soon turned into a smile and he gave Zeke a pat on the back. "Nice man! That sword does seem pretty powerful...also uh...sorry about not blockin that siren back there. Was a little caught up with my own fight." Shaun chuckled looked away, his eyes catching glimpse of the chest once more and he immediately looked back to Zeke, motioning for him to follow. "Come on. I spent so long doing that combination, time to see if it payed off." He turned back and began to make his way over to the chest, trying to find a path that would lead him to it. Whatever was in there, he wanted. It had to be worth that puzzle...right?

Shaun saw that the pillars had finished rising so he could cross the river and a smirk crossed his face. He twirled his sword a bit and moved forward, walking over to the chest. He put a hand on the chest, prepared to open it but then stopped and turned, looking to Zeke. "Zeke, my friend...we are about to uncover the oh so mystical object that took a riddle that made damn near no sense to get. So if this prize is a piece of shit...we're goin' hunting....actually, check that. We're going hunting no matter what, cause I get the feeling both of us want out of this damn place. No more sirens for us." And with that, the young tribute from eight turned and opened the chest to see what amazing prize awaited him.

Shaun's smile immediately dropped when he saw the vial. "This better be liquid God in a vial, I swear..." He picked up the scroll and quickly scanned it, nodding his head and then turned it over. He studied the riddle carefully and then picked up the small vial, looking it over a bit before reading the riddle once more. He grinned and put the vial in his pocket and rolled up the scroll. "Awesome. Nearing the end? A last rush of strength? Pretty sure this means if I'm about kick the bucket, I can down this little drink here and I'll get better...a bit. Seems pretty useful..." Shaun stuffed the scroll into a pocket and looked around, stretching slightly. He was about to ask something, when suddenly, a cannon went off. Well...shit. One less person to worry about...wonder who it was though... Shaun shook the thought from his mind and looked around once more. "So, Gamemakers...if you could just give us a hint as to where we could find some people to brutally murder, we'll go ahead and get goin'. If not, I mean, that's cool too..." He had been turning slightly, looking up towards the sky, wondering where the hell they would hide cameras...
