Shaun blinks as the numbers turn green and he scratches his head. That was supposed to be a good thing but...he still hadn't figured it out. Well, unless what he was doing was somehow actually the right way to go about it. No...what he was doing barely had anything to do with the riddle. Screw it...I should just keep going with it. Best lead I've had so far at least. Shaun then just shrugs and turns the dials on the fifth row, hoping he's right.

Zeke had been walking away from Oceania for a while. She didn't end up following her, so he just decided to go his own way. He was now at the river, and he saw a figure up ahead. Maybe it was someone he knew? "Hey! Person!" He shouted aloud, hoping the person wouldn't kill him.

Shaun laughed when he saw the numbers flash green and shook his head. Now getting these right were just amusing. Then, he heard someone yell out to him, referring to him as 'person'. His head immediately jerked to the side and he put his shield up, getting his sword ready. He slowly approached the figure, and as he got closer, he figured out it was Zeke. His smile returned as he lightly lowered his guard, but still maintained a decent distance from him as he said, "Hey Zeke...fancy seeing you here. What the hell happened to you? You don't look too hot."

The numbers started emitting a high pitched squealing sound when Shaun turned his attention away from them. Zeke had already completed a chest challenge, and now it was Shaun's turn.

Shaun started to speak to him. "Oh, yeah. Heh, let's just say blood, murder, glowing sword." He said, holding up his sword, which looked pretty special. He didn't know what it did yet exactly. But there was something cool about it. "So, you?" He stared at what Shaun seemed to be working on. It was kind of similar to what he did. Just not the same kind of task. "Keep doin' what you're doin'." He didn't want to ruin any kind of task for him. "We can talk later, or while you're doin' your thingy." Zeke was a bit confused about where Rune was.. was she dead?

Shaun turned towards the numbers and immediately walked towards them, continuing to listen to what happened which made him smile slightly. "Blood, murder, and a glowing sword huh? Sounds pretty fun...well, the kind of fun that only we can have, being in our position and all." He chuckles and begins to turn the dials, having already figured out his next guess. He was asked a question and once he finished turning the dials he backed up and crossed his arms. "Well let's see...you got projected into the air...and after that, Rune and I were both trapped in a dome. But then she disappeared. Some trap door thing opened up and took her away. Then I was able to roam free...saw my dead parents...and then my dead mom threw me over here. And that's about it." Shaun had kept his eyes on the numbers, waiting to see if they would flash green...but he also didn't want to look at Zeke head on at the moment.

Zeke smiled as the boy had success in his Game. "Wow, sounds like a shitty way to end up here." He smiled, watching Shaun. He seemed very smart about this lock game, so he was probably smart enough to win it. "Dead mom, eh? Never knew." He patted Shaun on the back. "Sorry, bud." Zee just stood there, waiting for his ally to complete the task.

Shaun smiled sadly and nodded. "Yeah...didn't know her that well, but whatever. Just my sisters and myself...feel like I need to make it back. For them...sorry. Got a little depressing there." He chuckled and looked back to the dials, turning the ones on the seventh row, barely thinking about it.

The next row flashed red. Perhaps the tribute had put in the wrong code by mistake, since the others had all been right.

Zee sighed, "Sorry, brother." He walked watched as he got a row wrong, for what seemed to be a combination. It was the first time since he got there that he had been wrong since he got there. "So, you know where Rune is? Its kinda good to know if she's alive.." Zeke laughed, even though it was a serious topic. He should have the right to know if they were going to have backup. Just in case.

Shaun looked back to the numbers, shrugging at the red numbers, immediately changing two of them. He then looked back to Zeke replying, "No worries...I still have a couple tricks up my sleeve. As for where Rune is...probably underground. We should go look for her later...after this of course." He smiled and looked back to the numvers, waiting for a green or red flash.

The next row flashed red. All of the combinations had used numbers 3, 2, and 1 in the past, so perhaps the tribute should stick to the pattern.

Zeke saw as Shaun got yet another row wrong. All of the patterns, up to now, have involved the numbers 3, 1, and 2. But it seems like there are no more of those types of combinations. Zeke was going to suggest a random number, but it would just be awkward. "Yep, we should go look for her." He smiled, before trying to light up the moment. "You should try 6, 6, and 6. The devil's number." He was laughing for a second, but paused. It wasn't really funny..

Shaun laughed when Zeke told him he should enter the number '666' and looked towards him. "Y'know, I though about that, but I don't think the Gamemakers would appreciate that very much. Don't need a claw to come out and rip my head off or something." He grinned and looked over at the plaque, focusing on it for a bit before nodding and walking back to the dials and turned them before nodding. Sure he had put it in before, but that was his best bet as of now.

The next row flashed green, but Zeke and Shaun started to hear a lovely, extremely attractive singing voice coming from the water. There were visible flowing shapes beneath the surface, but nothing that could be discerned as a specific creature.

Zeke smiled as Shaun didn't like his little '666' idea. "Well, I never said it was about them. If ya know what I mean." He was actually regarding to himself. Zeke had never really considered himself a monster until now. Until he had to kill the youngest girl in this the Hunger Games. The girl from two. "Y'know. I really do feel just a bit-" He heard a noise. Zeke thought of it as wondrous and lovely. But the chances of that were slim to none. They were coming from the water. Zeke raised his sword, waiting to see what the battle would be.

Shaun nodded as Zeke explained that he wasn't talking about the Gamemakers when making a reference to the Devil's number. "Well, these are the Games. We're forced to kill other people so...not entirely our fault. And to be frank..." He turned to look at Zeke with a sad smile and said, "I don't think anyone decent wins the Games." He chuckled and turned back to the numbers, turning the dials on the eighth row. When he was done, he stepped back, waiting for them to flash green or red. However, before they did, he heard singing. He looked around for a moment and then realized it was coming from the water and stepped forward, but then remembered the numbers...and then remembered the plaque. His eyes got wide and he immediately backed away from the water, shield raised. "So uh...there might be Sirens trying to murder us...and the plaque there said that a group of sirens took out a uh...large group of men. So this'll be fun..."

The row flashed red. He had put in the numbers incorrectly. The voices grew louder and the heads of three beautiful young women slowly rose out of the water, as if in slow motion. Their hair was long and flowing, and though they had just been underwater, it was only slightly damp. The first was lightly tanned with shiny auburn hair in big, lose, bouncy curls, and warm golden-brown eyes. She was staring straight at Shaun and had a wide smile on her face. The middle appeared to be the oldest, with smooth dark skin, thick chocolate-brown hair, and deep brown eyes that looked like they could swallow you whole. She stood slightly behind the other two, watching their progress, guiding their song, and was likely in charge. The third and final woman had fair skin, dark brown wavy hair, and bright turquoise-colored eyes. She slightly resembled Sera and sang to Zeke. The woman in the middle appeared to be about 20-22 years old, and the others appeared to be around 16-18. They were wearing matching long, billowy dresses, but each was a different color: the older woman in the middle had a pale blue dress, the auburn-haired woman had a coral dress, and the turquoise-eyed woman had a lilac dress. They were about halfway out of the water, and they were not visible from the torso down. They called to Zeke and Shaun in a beautiful song. The words were difficult to understand, but the tributes could make out the occasional "come to me" and "come to the water."

Zeke grinned when Shaun tried to make him feel better. It worked, a little. "Nobody decent wins these games. And if you do win.. you aren't decent ever again." He shook his head. Zeke was never decent, and he would never be. His dark brown eyes turned back to the water. Three new figures, none tributes, appeared. They were the people singing the song. "What the.. Siren?" The boy didn't want to swear in front of them. There was no use in swearing at a girl that looked like Sera... "Sera! A.. again?" He took a few steps back. Zeke could hear a little chant made by them, wanting them to hop in. "Sera. You. Are. Fake. Just. A. Monster." He separated ever single word with a pause before looking to Shaun. Zeke shook his head, wanting Shaun to stay back.

Shaun watched as the sirens approached, gulping noisily before looking away and turning the dials on the eight row once more. When he heard Zeke freaking a bit, he turned, finishing his dial turning quickly. He took a step towards Zeke and said to him, "Hey...Zeke...calm down bro. Just don't listen to their...mesmerizing...beautiful, singing...oh god dammit." Shaun stopped and slapped himself a bit, looking away, but caught the eye of the sirens. He gulped once more and backed away, his cheeks turning a little red.

The next row flashed green, and the auburn-haired siren did not move closer. The Sera siren did rise out of the water further though and reached out a hand to Zeke.

Shaun tried to keep him back, but it couldn't help him. Shaun was just as much intrigued to the music as him. Sera was there.. making Zeke start to sob even more than he had in his previous encounter. Her hand came to Zeke. She wanted him in the water. "Just stop.. Sera. You're not real. You're sitting back at home, or serving all those people that smelled like fish drinks. You're not in the Hunger Games. So stop, Game Makers. She's fake and I know it.." The song drew him closer and closer to the edge, but each time he moved back. Zeke wasn't the smartest person, but he was trained and knew that Sirens were fake. He grew up near the water, so he should know. Zeke wanted to go in, kill whatever was there and get out.. but no. He wasn't risking his life. Unless Shaun went with him.
