Oceania could see transparent, ghost-like flashes of faces down the tunnel. They approached her, flickering in and out of view. One of the faces looked like her mothers, screaming, then a vision of her father crying passed her by, and finally someone that looked a lot like her, but it was hard to tell because she was covered in blood.

Oceania stared at the figures in front of her. She, one by one, recognized each of them.
"Mom," she choked out, looking to the next face. "Dad... Pacifica?" Oceania's breathing started getting heavier and heavier, "Who did this to you?"
She examined each of the figures. They were strangely transparent, and they looked to have been in a strange murder incident. What the... hell? she thought to herself. She was just about to cry out at the sight of these three figures, but she hesitated.
"You're not," the tribute started. She looked to her mother, then father, then sister. "You're not real. You're not real!" The girl yelled out before swinging her fists at the three figures, letting her anger out. "None of you would ever come to save me! You only pay attention to her!" she screamed, gesturing to Pacifica's ghostly form. Her voice lowered back into a whisper, "You can't be real."

omfg i keep getting lates im sorry
Oceania looked at the ghostly figures. They hadn't even spoke a word to her. Most likely they were afraid to admit that they werent real. The girl was about to stand up to straighten herself out, but a wind pushed her forward.
"Woah...woa..." the girl said as she balanced herself. She took her ponytail out, ruffled out her dark brown hair, and put it back into a loose ponytail. She waited for the ghosts to react to her while she chewed on the inside of her mouth.

There was no sign of the ghost, but the walls started closing in. She'd have to hurry down the passage or they'd crush her.

Oceania raised an eyebrow as the ghosts somehow disappeared. Maybe they werent real at all. She took a reassuring sigh, but then she felt a slight shaking. She looked at her surroundings, stuck out her hands to the walls, and felt them closing in. She froze for a second, then hurriedly continued down the passageway. There had to be an exit somewhere, or maybe something that could help her soon.

At last, Oceania found herself in front of an ancient looking chest. It opened at her touch to reveal two vials of liquid: one blood-red with a gold shimmer, one bright blue with a silver shimmer. There was also a scroll of parchment, inscribed with another riddle:
"This is a game of twists and turns If you fail, you will burn. Life and death will be your friend Survive and live to kill again. The sea infected with a moonlit tide The forest cries, the town has died. The luster of wealth will lead the way The fortune the fortunate must obey."

Oceania sighed as she came up to a chest. She touched the chest's lock, and it opened. She looked inside, finding two vials of liquid and a scroll. She first opened the fragile-looking scroll and read it. Oh great, another riddle. she thought to herself as her eyes scanned the words. She wrapped up the scroll, set it aside, and looked at the two vials. One was a bright red color, which reminded her of her own blood caked on her wounds. She blinked a few times, then looked to the beautiful blue vial. It reminded her of home, like many other things in this damned arena. She took a heavy sigh, opened up the scroll withone hand, while holding the vials with her other hand.
The tribute read through the riddle again; her lips moved silently as she looked over the words. One line caught her attention, though: "The sea infected with a moonlit tide," she whispered. Sea, which was obviously blue, infected, usually meant taken over with sickness or bad stuff, and moonlit, which was a silverly color. She narrowed her eyes, and returned the blue vial to the chest and analyzed the red and goldish one. Red, obviously, was the color of blood escaping the body, while gold sometimes represented victory. She sighed as she looked it over. She lay the scroll and the vial back into the chest cautiously. She knew she had to choose one. Her fingers circled around the vials in mid-air, almost like how the escort of her district did at the Reapings.
Oceania hesitated, looked at her two choices, before picking up the red and gold vial. She held it in her hand before looking it over. Though, the girl thought to herself. Blue represents water. Maybe it is...
The tribute took a deep breath before returning the red vial. Her hands then wrapped around the blue and silver bottle and she kept the chest open, waiting for something to happen.

Nothing happened, but the bottles were corked tightly. She probably wasn't meant to drink them. Then, something fell on her head. She thought it was a spider or a feather, but closer inspection revealed a sparkly gold fake eyelash, like something a Capitol citizen would wear.

Oceania felt nothing happen after taking the vial, and after a close examination, she found that it was tightly secured closed. She decided it would be best not to open it yet. Once she stored the vial safely inside her glass jar, she sat for a while in front of the chest. Out of nowhere, it seemed, something fell on her head. She tensed up and started flailing her arms over her head until the object fell to the ground. The tribute gently picked it up, held it between her fingers. She squinted her eyes and recognized it as a fake eyelash. She raised an eyebrow at the object. Why would this be here...? Oceania thought to herself.

Perhaps the gold eyelash from the wealthy Capitol was a clue meant to help figure out what a certain line or two of the riddle meant.

oceania wave
Oceania blinked a few times, thinking about connecting the object's meaning to the riddle. She crawled over to the chest, took out the scroll carefully, and unravelled it.
"The luster of wealth will lead the way," she whispered as her eyes caautiously ran over the words. Oceania then looked down to the eyelash and narrowed her eyes, "Where did this come from?"
The tribute looked up, at the rocky ceiling of the passageway she was in. The golden eyelash had to fall from somewhere, so where did it come from? Her eyes scanned the rocks and dirt above her as silence filled the tunnel. She slowly straightened out her back, as her hunched-up state was beginning to hurt her back a bit.

There was a small hole in the ceiling that showed through to the glittering night sky.

Oceania looked up and found a tony hole peaking up above ground. She gasped silently as she stood on her knees. She looked up, trying to see if she was able to fit through. It looked as if it might be a bit too small.
"I've been underground for so long!" the tribute whined as she adjusted her sword on her belt. She sat back down, her feet tucked underneath her. She pouted, thinking about what would happen if she could never get out. She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and sighed.

The walls shattered into dust and Oceania found herself back in the woods outside the cabin, the chest and vials all that remained.

Oceania shut her eyes as she saw the walls turn to dust. She atlast opened her eyes and found herself, along with the chest, aboce ground. She squinted her eyes, trying to see where the cabin was. Her tummy grumbled once again, making her grimace.
She looked up to the sky, held her rumbling belly, "Please." The tribute sat there for a while, wondering what to do about her hunger. She looked at the chest and opened it another time, checking if she missed any food or water that was possibly inside.

There is an apple tree nearby, but it's hard to say if the apples are safe to eat or not.

Oceania pushed herself up and stretched her tense self. She looked around the area, and there was no sign of the cottage, but there was an apple tree nearby. She slowly gathered her supplies and walked cautiously to the tree. She hesitated though, once she was about 10 feet from the tree. She took a quick perimeter check, making sure there were no mutts or tracker-jackers around to harm her.
She sighed, finding to visible sign of either, and made a few steps closer to the tree. She looked at the fruits in front of her, wondering if they were safe to eat or not. She narrowed her eyes. She hadn't seen this tree before. But it had apples on it. Apples were good, right? Good food and water source, at least. Oceania stood in front of the tree, looking around the branches and fruits.

Zeke Rails
Zeke was in sort of a jog as he ran down the mountain. The boy was eager to see what was there. But he was guessing it was a who. He wondered if Solstice was watching, from up or down. The tribute hoped up. She was such an innocent person that didn't deserve to die. But he saw her, lifeless, in the cave. He gripped his sword as he advanced into the woods. "Lets go.." He spoke to himself. Zeke was like an eager little kid on a long car ride. He just wanted to get to the destination.
The boy now stood in the woods, where there was a bit of an opening. "Hello?" he said aloud, not knowing anyone was there. Zeke gripped his sword and readied his shield in case there was a mutt ambush. He hoped there wouldn't be.

Oceania reached her hand up slowly for an apple, but a crunch of grass made her freeze. Either a mutt or tribute was nearby. Victoria? she thought to herself as she stood still. She saw a figure's shadow move, and she tensed up again.
She swiftly turned and silently hopped up the tree. She watched as the figure got closer, and closer, and closer. It called out, wondering if anyone was near. She squinted her eyes as she looked through the branches at the figure. The face, with blood smeared at some places, looked oddly familiar. The pride-filled brown eyes were all too recognizable.
"Zeke," Oceania muttered as she swung down from the tree. She met eyes with the boy, "Are you trying to get yourself killed?" The tribute almost laughed lightly as she spoke once again, "I don't think calling out 'hello' somewhere where people are trying to kill others is exactly smart." Oceania smirked at the boy, but it soon disappeared as she saw the shape that her partner was in.

Zeke now saw a figure who said his name. He vaguely recognized the voice. It was her District Partner. What was her name.. It took him a few minutes to remember that it was Oceania. "Eh, I'm not really in the mood to be quiet." He chuckled as Zeke noticed a chest behind her. "Oceania.. there's somethin' behind ya." He pointed to it, as it was literally right behind her.

Oceania sighed as her district partner replied to her comment. He said something about the chest behind her, and she turned herself a bit, looking at it, before she turned back to him.
"Oh yea," the tribute said. "There was some riddle in there... with-" She pulled out her vial and held it out carefully. "-this, and another with some red liquid in it..." She returned the vial to her belt and rested a hand on her hip. "Are any of the other Careers still up and running...?" she asked and sighed. After a few minutes, Oceania began walking towards a different direction, though she picked two apples from the tree and stored them with herself. She turned around, about 15 feet away from Zeke. "Come if you wanna..."
Oceania has left the area

The tributes found themselves only able to travel to the waterfall, the river, or other areas of the forest. If they wanted to go to the town, they'd have to go somewhere else first and then pick a new direction. However, Oceania should take both vials with her, and if she doesn't, I'm just going to pretend she did, for her own sake, because they're both useful.
