| oceania wave Oceania made her way carefully through the forest. She didn't want to run into another troll. She wanted to get better, and she felt hungry. Maybe some plants around her were edible, though only trees seemed to surrounded her.
The tribute walked a bit farther, until she met a small cottage. Her blue eyes traveled around the perimeter, making sure there was nothing harmful around. Nothing bad seemed to be in sight, so she carefully walked to the door. She pushed the creaky, wooden door open, stepped inside, and stood in the middle, looking over the inside. coded by Kellisabell<3 |

| The cottage smelled faintly of mildew and flowers and musty books. There were three cabinets, a small table with two chairs, and a bookshelf, all made primarily out of wood. The books were old and they looked like they would crumble into dust if touched. |

| Oceania raised both her eyebrows as she found wooden appliances around her. She looked to her waist; her glass jar was swaying a bit from her motions. Its an empty glass jar, what could be so special? she asked herself in her mind. She tucked away her knife and got ahold of her jar. She opened it, then without examining the inside, she set it on the table and turned to the cabinets, opening all three.
"There has to be something useful in here..."the tribute muttered to herself as her eyes flickered over the shelves inside, then back to her jar. Had anyone been sponsored yet? If so, why hadn't she? Sure, there were tributes that might've been surviving better that she was, but she didn't have much supplies. Or food. As if on cue, Oceania's stomach had grumbled softly and she swallowed harshly in her dry throat. |

| Oceania opened the third cabinet and found a series of empty colored bottles arranged in order of height: orange, yellow, teal, green, purple, white, pink, brown, indigo. There was a riddle on the wall of the cabinet. Oceania would have to rearrange the bottle in the correct order.
The riddle read:
"The sun must rise before darkness can fall. It’s the biggest thing we see in the sky overall. The stars are not big, but they make night look small. Glowing bright in the distance, dawn’s candle grows tall.
The royals look up from the middle and cry, For they only wish they could touch either sky. They could climb up the trees, but will fail if they try, For under those leaves, the poisonous flowers lie.
They could swim down the pond, But beneath that’s the mud, Which is not large in size, But in dirt, royals die.
The first and the last know where they belong, They like where they are and they will stand strong. As the sun brings upon the great light of dawn, Jubilant birds sing their meaningless song. They can rest in the trees if the journey is long, Far from the stars where they once made their home."
The gamemakers will probably cut Oceania a little slack with this because riddles can be hard to make and end up either way too easy or way too hard.

| oceania wave Oceania raised an eyebrow as she saw bottles of different colors neatly organized by size in a cabinet, along with a riddle on the wall. She read the riddle slowly, and as she got through it, she realized she had to rearrange the bottles.
"Okay, um... Crap," the tribute muttered as she removed all the bottles and put them onto the wooden table. She first counted all the bottles, and there were 9. She then counted the number of stanzas in the riddle, 18. 18 divided by 9 is 2, so there must be one bottle for every two stanzas. she thought to herself. Every two stanzas of the riddle, Oceania would stop and think about what the lines represented and what they looked like.
• • •
After about 20 minutes, the girl managed to connect a bottle to every pair of stanzas. First, she grabbed the orange bottle, and placed it on the shelf where they were. She turned, grabbed the yellow one, and put it on the shelf. Then the purple bottle. Then the green. Then teal. Then brown, then white, then pink, and finally, indigo.
She held her breath as her eyes flickered over the bottles to see if they'd match correctly. Oceania really wanted them all to be correct, because she didn't want to face what would happen if she didn't get them 100% correct. coded by Kellisabell<3 OOC: Lol okay so just to clarify my order:
Orange, Yellow, Purple, Green, Teal, Brown, White, Pink, and Indigo.
In my opinion, I was glad I was able to complete the riddle, excluding whether it was all right or not. I'm usually good at these so.. xD and I managed to finish it by myself lol |

| The cabin shakes, sending Oceania toppling to the ground. She hits her arm on the wooden table and is mildly injured. The orange, yellow, and indigo bottle remain where they are, but the other bottles fall over in the cabinet. Oceania was close, but the middle bottles were a little off. There was no specific pattern to the number of bottles per stanza because the Gamemakers are not that organized.
Trap damage goes to Oceania from the fall/getting the bottles wrong. If it's more than -35HP, just take off 35HP anyway. Otherwise, go by what it says. (EDIT: Just take off the regular 20 since it worked out.) Also, great job with the riddle! You're very close.

| oceania wave Oceania felt the ground beneath her begin to shake, and she fell to the ground. Her arm came into contact with the table and she winced.
"Crap... Um..." the tribute said while looking at the bottles. Three of them remained, but the rest toppled over. She thought quickly before putting the purple bottle, then the green, pink, teal, brown, and finally white. She winced even though nothing was yet happening, but she didn't want to get hurt again. coded by Kellisabell<3 OOC: ones in bold are the new ones orange, yellow, purple, green, pink,, teal, brown, white, indigo. lordy jesus xD |

| The teal, brown, and white bottles stay in their new position, but the purple, green, and pink topple over. One of the other cabinets rattles and falls on Oceania's foot. |

| (does the 35+ HP rule still apply or...?)
Oceania cried out in pain as a cabinet fell on one of her feet. She had to sit down in one of the wooden chairs, taking deep breaths, so she could avoid crying. She didnt want to embarrass her family back home, and she especially didnt want to embarrass herself. Okay, soo green and trees... that has to be right, wouldn't it? the tribute thought to herself. She didnt want to speak, because it might make her tear-up. She placed down the green bottle, then the pink, then purple. She sat down on the floor, almost getting ready to face her death if she unsucessfully placed the bottles.
OOC: green, pink, purple
god its not gonna work xD |

| ((Eh, sure, go ahead and just take 35 off. It's only 5 HP. xD))
All of the bottles stood firm. Oceania had correctly rearranged them. The back of the cabinet opened up to reveal a passageway that Oceania could climb through easily. The bottles disappeared so the way was clear, and the rest of the cottage started to shake again. If Oceania didn't go through the passageway, it would probably collapse on her. |

| (Oh, god, thank you xD 5 HP counts, right?)
Oceania looked up at the bottles, and sighed as none of them shook or fell anymore. She raised an eyebrow as the bookcase revealed a secret passage way. She felt the cabin shake beneath her lightly, so she quickly stood up and carefully walked through. It would probably be a trap, with nothing that could help her hunger or health. But, she was desperate enough to walk through.
yay possible time to go fight someone. ;-; |

| unfortunately no, not yet xD but we'll get there ; )
The cabinet door closed behind Oceania as she crawled through. She made her way through the first passageway and was now faced with three options. She could go through the darkest passageway, the well-lit passageway, or the passageway that smelled suspiciously smoky. |

| Oceania stepped through, seeing 3 pathways. She hesitated for a second, before walking down the dark path. She wanted to see what was in the tunnel, though it might've freaked her out if she had. She took a few cautious steps before standing in the tunnel.
(sorry for the short crappy post lol) |

| Oceania was now faced with two passageways, one that had ocean sounds coming from it, and one that had scratching sounds. |

| Oceania narrrowed her eyes. There had been no traps yet. She came to a fork of two pathways, though. One was making scratching sounds, and the other... Home... Home! the tribute thought about the one pathway. She was about to step in, but hesitated. These things always leds to a trap. She sighed, and turned back around. She came back to the fork and entered the scratchy one. She bit her bottom lip as she made her way down the passage.
ooc: crappy posts again yay.

| No harm came to the her yet, but the passageway was blocked off in a dead end. She'd have to go back and choose the scratching one. |

| Oceania took a breath through her nose as she got to a dead end. She chewed on the inside of her cheek as she made her way back to the fork. She sighed, then made her way down the scratchy pathway. She watched each of her steps. The tribute was careful walking, so she couldn't make any stupid mistakes.
holy crap I'm off time I'm so sorry |

| She stepped on a nail, but it didn't appear to do any damage. It hadn't broken skin. The passageway began to narrow out. Oceania would have to crawl on her hands and knees now. |

| Oceania stepped down the creaky passageway until she couldn't. She had to get on her hands and knees and crawl (without scoffing first). She remained crawling, every so often making sure she had all her weapons and jar still with her. I wonder if there's some health packs or crap that's 'beneficial to my survival' near here... the tribute thought to herself, mimicking the survivalist at the Center, as she carefully and cautiously made her way through the passage. |

| The tunnel was long and dark and Oceania started to wonder whether it even had an end. Suddenly, she head echoes of laughter coming from in front of her. They sounded suspiciously familiar. |

| oceania wave Oceania crawled through the tunnel, her knees and hands aching from crawling so much. She soon enough stopped in her tracks once she heard laughing. Could it have been other tributes? She held her breathe and carefully listened.
After a few seconds, the laughing had gotten inside her head. They sounded so familiar. Had it been someone from her family? A past friend? She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she tried to go into her mind and connect the laughter to someone. coded by Kellisabell<3 |

| The laughter turned dark, and then screams started. Oceania came to a split pathway again, one that sounded like the sadistic laughter was coming from it, the other that sounded like the screaming was coming from it. |

| Oceania cringed as the laughter got darker and screams were heard. She cupped her face in her hand and crawled fast down the pathway leading to the screaming. She breathed heavily as aw made her way down. She felt the adrenaline pushing through her veins.
