Water?Food?Sleep?

After I had escaped the berry field, I had run off in a different direction. I felt bad for leaving the group that saved me, but I didn't need to get involved in an alliance that would eventually be broken. I somehow wandered here, to what appears to be a lake. I'm thirsty from my endless wandering, so I take a small sip, to test the water like I always do. Then I sit back and pull out some bandages and ointment to treat my wounds.

I noticed that one of the cuts on my leg looked weird. I wasn't sure exactly what was different, but I hoped it wasn't something bad. I looked a little closer at the wound. Maybe I was just imagining it.

Great. I had an infection. Just perfect. I look through my med kit to see if there's anything, anything at all, to help draw the infection out.

Success! I had found just the right thing. Unfortunately, there was only a small amount;probably only enough for one infection. Oh well, that was all i needed right now. I open the packet and sprinkle the powder on the wound. It will probably take a little while to do its job, but it's the best I've got.

I let out a squeal when the powder touched my leg, but the pain was over soon. I was just about to lay down to sleep when my stomach growled. I haven't eaten in at least a day, so I walk back over to the pond and attempt to spear some fish with my sword.

After much trial and error, I finally speared a fish. It wasn't much of a fish, but at least it was something. Quickly, I look around for something to make a fire with. I didn't want to eat the fish raw, if I could help it, but if I couldn't make a fire, that's what I'd have to do.

I see some rocks in the lake. I could probably spark a fire with them. If they weren't wet. And I had some wood. Then I remember I still have some leaves in my shoe, and a tree branch. It wouldn't take too long to cook the tiny fish, so I'd probably be able to still use the branch when I was done. But the leaves would defiantly be gone. It was worth it though, so I looked around for the driest rocks in the lake. There were a couple that weren't too covered in water, so I pulled them out.

I took out the last leaves from my shoe, then I pulled my tree branch from my back. I placed the leaves over the branch, then I struck the rocks together over my fuel, hoping the fire would light.

I curse under my breath. The rocks still aren't dry enough. I dry them off on my outfit, even though it probably won't do much good. Then I try again, hoping for a different outcome.

Yes! I think as the leaves catch fire. However, just the leaves won't be enough. The tree branch has to start to burn as well. I egg on the fire, willing it to spread to the branch.

I smile as the branch starts to burn. I know the fire won't burn for long, however, so I need to cook this fish as fast as possible. I quickly scrape off the fish's scales, something I had forgotten to do a moment ago, and then place it in the fire. I keep the fish on my sword, allowing me to be able to pull it from the fire without actually touching it. I sit back on my heels and watch the fish cook.

After a moment, I turn the sword, and by extension, the fish, over in the fire. In a moment, it would be ready to eat. I just hoped the fire lasted long enough to cook the rest of the fish.

Finally, the fish was done. I pull the fish from the fire and then kick dirt over the flames to put them out. I don't eat the fish yet, though. It has to cool first, and so does my sword. I dip the sword in the water and then pull it back out, steam rising from the blade.
