Rhea ran almost the whole way to the caves. Left, right, left, right. Her feet barely hit the ground. She could only run, but not even from anyone but herself. She needed to be alone, even if that put her in a dangerous position. She was sure everything she had worked for was gone. She had not wanted to turn on Maria, but it was the one hope she had to try and save Kaspar...and even that had failed. She had failed in so many ways, and now couldn't help but feel more alone than she ever had in her entire life.

Her pace slowed and as she came to a stop her lungs hurt as it took in the oxygen that her body needed. Thankfully her stamina was good, if she wasn't so used to running she wouldn't have made it in as little time as she did. She put her hands above her head. Roe had once told her that it would help her catch her breath faster. Rhea wasn't entirely sure if it was true or not, but she always did it after a long run. The air stung as it entered her body. She sat down with her back against the rock wall and took out he water bottle. She undid the top and took a small sip and took the time to clean some of her wounds a bit; making sure to save all of the water she could. She knew the underwater lake was nearby, but wanted to wait as long as possible before having to refill her bottle. That was where Kaspar told me... Rhea buried her head into her hands as she felt the tears starting again. This arena was filled with memories of him. The cliffs above were where they had met up again after she left the careers. And in these caves were where they set up a makeshift camp as they healed. There was nowhere in this damn arena that would let her forget him.

For the first time in awhile Rhea went to feel the comforting feel of the leaf that was around her neck. She lifted the neck of the leaf and exposed the silver charm. She felt the warmth from her body on it and held it so tightly that is left an imprint on her palm. This was the one thing she had left of her mother and in a way it was almost an extension of her. When she had felt bad during this entire experience she could touch it and it was like it could suck all the negativity out of her. Roe and her mother shared that gift, they could hug anyone and it felt as if all the problems in the world had melted away. They were like sponges that way; sucking up all the negativity and replacing it with good feelings. Rhea wished that in that moment she could hug some, anyone. That someone could tell her it was going to be ok, but that never came.

Rhea pulled out the blanket and laid it down on the cold ground of the cave then pulled out an apple from her pack. She ate about half of it, trying hard to save the food she had. She was sure she had no sponsors, so she was going to have to rely on her own skills to find food and water. At one time she hoped maybe there was someone out there willing to help her with some warm stew or nice cool water, but that didn't seem to be the case. Rhea came to terms with that, knowing full well that she couldn't rely on anyone but herself anymore.

Rhea put the other half of her apple in her pack for later. Then she pulled out her water bottle once more and cleaned her wounds another time. She needed to keep them clean and needed to gather her strength. She was going to need to find a tribute to fight. She needed this game to end fast, and the only way to do that was for her to personally make sure that all the tributes were dead. That meant she was going to have to find Genevieve and Skye. She looked around, seeing if there was anything she could use to help make a fire or maybe even something she could use as supplies or bandages.

Water would no longer work for healing purposes on the wounds.

Rhea sighed a little as she realized there was nothing in the cave she could use as bandages. She thought about making a fire...but decided against it. She wasn't going to be in her new camp for long and all of that effort could be used for other activities. She finished up the rest of the apple she put away and then used a little bit of water to clean her wounds up some more. They looked like they were all pretty clean, and although she didn't have any bandages the scratches that covered her arms and legs had stopped bleeding. Rhea stood up, determined now to find the underground lake to fill up her almost empty water bottle and then be off to find Genevieve and Skye. She slung her pack over her shoulder and was on her way.

Rhea felt herself as close to full strength as she could have gotten. She ate half an apple and drank some water. Now she needed to refill, and Rhea knew the perfect place. The underground lake was where she was headed next. Rhea grabbed her stuff and left to try and navigate her way back to the familiar body of water.
