Solstice took another step back as the rock mutt chucked more boulders. "What does this mutt have against me," she growled. It appears to be throwing more rocks at her than Zeke. "Whatever it is, it's gonna die before we find out," she said merrily, slashing at the monster. Kill it. Kill it. The words began to repeat themselves again.

The rock ogre smashed to the ground, becoming a pile of rubble. A large, ancient-looking chest started to slowly rise up from the ground, but the tributes couldn't reach it yet. They could see from a distance that it had a huge lock.

Solstice watched as the rock ogre turned into rubble. "Finally," she groaned, noticing an old chest that had magically appeared. It was too far away, but the lock was huge. Like, really huge. The tribute sat on the rocks, watching as Zeke began to dig through the mutt's remains for a key. Once again, he begins to talk. A lot. "This'll be the easiest," Zeke finally finishes. "You're a chatty one," Solstice stated, kneeling down beside the boy to help him dig. She pushed aside pebbles and gravel, brushing dirt off of her pants every few seconds. He may think that digging for a key is the right choice, but Solstice thought otherwise. She had a feeling that the Gamemakers were going to make the two careers play another game. One that may be end up with one less tribute.

Zeke had found more keys than Solstice. She frowned, examining her key and taking quick peeks at Zeke's. They weren't too different. The boy was quick to announce which key was going first. Of course, her key would be the last to be checked. "Be careful. Using the wrong key could lead to a Gamemaker trap," she warned, picking at the edge of her key. Solstice would rather herself live than Zeke, but that idiot is now considered a friend. A friend. She smiled sadly. It's been a while since she's had a friend, and it may not last very long. Hopefully she can stay with Zeke a little longer... Solstice watched as the boy shoved a key into the giant lock. Now they wait.

((Another trip. Yay. ;-; I may die of inactivity... Meh.))

Solstice watche as Zeke began to swing his axe. At her. She shrieked as she attempted to dodge the attack. "What the hell?!?!" She went back to her original assumption. He's bi-polar. However, she was so stunned, she couldn't bring herself to attack.

Solstice glared at the boy. She's been doing a lot of glaring during the Games, and she already knows what Zeke is thinking. I can't hit this little girl. She's just a little girl. Little girl. The girl attempted to duck under the axe and tightly held the handle on her own. "I'm not a little girl," she snarled. The prize for this fight was a fancy sword. Not her first weapon of choice, but handy all the same. And it seemed to call to her. "It's mine," she laughed stiffly, aiming her weapon at Zeke. She jabbed towards his neck. "You can't have it!" she yelped, tilting her head with a smile. This boy is another piece of the Games. Another obstacle. Maybe even another mutt. Getting past him is her first priority. The sword needs her. She needs to save it from him. And Zeke must die.

Zeke launched yet another attack. Solstice ignored his cocky comment and laughed, sidestepping what was hopefully the axe's path. It felt strange to laugh while fighting. Almost enjoying it, but hating it at the same time. But that sword makes up for the weird feeling. The sword's humming. It almost sounds like a song. And that song sounds wonderful. "Even if I do die, the guilt will catch up to you. How will you be able bear using that sword when you had to kill a poor little girl for it?" she frowned, immediately laughing again. It's strange. Everything about this is strange. But the sword needs her to be strange to get to it. The sword needs her. No questions. Solstice pounced at the boy with a small smile, slashing her axe.
