It's the Final Countdown...

Welcome to the Final Four
The remaining tributes crash into the center of the arena, the forces that brought them in halting just before they could smack into the giant Maple. Leda and Mirabelle seem unscathed, but Norman and Travis seem to have taken a bit of damage in the tumble. The waves recede and the earth flattens, but from the forest emerges a new threat. The companions of each of the fallen tributes have arrived, making a ring around the Final Four to prevent escape. Geo gives a look to Leda, seeming to tell his incompetent master to win or else, before trotting off to fill a gap in the ring. Max looks to Mira with sympathetic eyes as she turns to join the other dinos. Deno seems to give Norman an encouraging smile before waddling away, and Yoshi gives Travis an affectionate, cat-like rub on the leg before taking his place. Let the slaughter begin.
Travis and Norman now stand at 90 HP each. Leda’s health remains at 85, and Mira remains at 60. Travis lost his medkit on the downward tumble. Dinos will not help and escape is impossible.

Travis grunted as he hit the ground, wincing as he got up slowly. He looked around and saw three other tributes, one being his ally. So they were the final four. He looked down as he felt something against his leg and saw that it was Yoshi. He smiled sadly as he watched him walk away and then turned to the others, expressionless. "So...we've made it to the final four...shame only one can survive..." He looked to his partner and nodded and then looked back to the other tributes who seemed to be the ones from seven and twelve. "And we're all from different districts...I'm sorry for whatever may have happened to your partners. And I hope you'll have a happy reunion." And with that he quickly hurled the stake in his left hand at the boy from district seven, aiming between his stomach and thigh, hoping that maybe he could hit a vital area. Like an artery or a vein. But what were the chances of that?

Norman found that his first instinct, again, was to growl. Then laughter took over as the Ten began to speak. "Oh be quiet moron. You act like your little tail is making it out alive," he said, standing taller. "If anything, the next time your family sees you is in a wooden crate. Probably the same way they found you when you were Reaped." Twirling his knife, Norman smiled. "I know what happened to my partner, kid. I had to kill her. I've been through hell having to kill her, and your puny ass is going to be a lot more fun to kill," he taunted the Ten. Watching the Ten take a swing at him, Norman couldn't help but laugh again. "I can't be that hard to miss, can I, Ten?" he questioned. Standing taller again, Norman shook his head. "You wanna dance, Ten. Come on then, let's dance," he taunted again. Waving his knife at Ten, Norman smiled. Swinging towards Ten, just close enough to scare the boy, Norman slid his knife past Ten and into Eight. "Never said I had to attack your ass. You seem to have a connection to the girl, Eight. Let's shatter that first," he finished taunting.

Leda cleared her throat while the boy from 10 spoke. She was pretty proud of herself for making it this far, but she knew there was still a lot of bloodshed to come. She smiled at Geo as her gave her a look. Her sassy little friend had helped her thus far, but it was clear the final battle would be purely between tributes. She smirked at the words of the boy from 10 and crossed her arms over her chest. "Hi there, friend," she whispered into the shell, just in case it was thinking about attack her when it popped out. "I think you mean shame it's not gonna be you," she corrected him. Leda didn't bother attacking him, though. She could tell the other girl was more hurt, and she wanted to take her out quickly. Everybody knows a predator goes for the easiest prey first. "Sorry, hun. Gotta go for the weakest link, right? Nothing personal." She stabbed at the other girl with her stake, seeing no need to block 10's attack on Norman as he had missed.

Mira knew the second she felt the ground go from under her that they were going to enter the final battle. Once she saw their opponents, the girl also knew that she would be the first to go. She was the smallest, and the one with the least amount of skills. Even with some luck, there was no way that she would make it out of here, the odds were against her.

The boy from seven had words that seemed to cut through the air, making her palms sweat with nervousness. She couldn't even take his words, much less a fight against him. 'Be brave, right. That's what you promised.' she thought , flinching to try and block the tribute's attack. The girl from twelve had an easy hit on her though, unless Travis tried blocking it. Her blue eyes were wide and startled as she made a weak swing at the girl from twelve. "It's hard not to take offense when I'm going to die, isn't it?" she asked, her words dry and without emotion.

Travis grit his teeth together when the guy from seven began to speak. When he pretended to attack Travis, the boy from ten raised his stake to block the attack, without realizing it was meant for Mira and took a stab at him. "Why don't you shut up and actually deliver on what you're gonna say instead of attacking someone weaker like a little punk bitch." He twirled both stakes in his hands and raised his eyebrows quickly a few times and smiled.

Norman smiled sadistically when Ten began speaking again. "I don't want to kill you now, pony boy. That would ruin the fun," he said sadistically. Norman was clearly the healthiest of the group, outside of Pony Boy. Watching as the boy lunged at him with a stake, Norman swung his own stake up to block. "Tsk... tsk... tsk... pony boy," Norman said, waving his knife. "Now who's your little quiet golden girl, pony boy? And why are you so..." Norman grunted as he jabbed his knife into the girl, "Protective of her?" Norman's sadistic smile returned. "We're going head-to-head, pony boy. Can you handle it?" Norman laughed. "I'm bleeding until the last man's standing."

Leda narrowed her eyes at the boy from 10. Her mind had automatically dismissed the other girl due to her serious injuries, and the focused on keeping an eye on the more dangerous predator while she beat down on the weakened girl. "Excuse me? Who said there's anything wrong with a little punk bitchiness?" she snapped. Sure, the insult had been meant for Norman, but she'd often considered herself kind of punk, and never doubted her bitchiness, and she felt the urge to defend her people. "Wow, you'd rather he attack you than your girlfriend? Sure there's not something going on there?" she teased. She did think she remembered something about him and some girl from his interviews, or maybe she'd heard it in the training center. To be honest, Leda didn't care much about the personal lives of her enemies if it wouldn't help her kill them, but she didn't see any issues with releasing some of her thoughts out into the world. "As for you," she added, turning to the girl, "if you're really not into that, I wouldn't worry. Won't last long now." Leda knew her words were a bit random, but she was kind of distracted. She dodged the girl's attack and sent off one of her own.

Mira could barely keep up with the happenings of the fight, as she was losing more and more blood by the second. Her heartbeat was pounding loudly in her ears, over the sound of sharp words from the other tributes. She was getting the gist of what they were saying, but the individual words were a bit confusing. Mira wasn't sure what the boy from seven was getting at, but how attack missed her anyways.

The girl from twelve seemed to be a bigger problem, as she saw and attack coming her way. Mirabelle did her best to dodge it, her limbs still on fire from the pain caused by her injuries. She stepped forward, taking a swing at the girl from twelve.

The last comment from the twelve girl was the final straw as he moved forward to knock the attack away. "Let me be clear as I can be....we're just...friends. I already have a girl and twelve, you wouldn't believe the shit I've seen in this arena." With that, he turned his focus away from seven and stabbed his stake at twelve.

Norman smiled with glee. Leda and himself were making their way into pony boy's and eight's psyche. "Come on now pony boy, the fun is just starting!" Norman practically shouted with glee. He'd already suffered enough in the Arena, he didn't care what he did anymore. Staring down the duo across from him, Norman's reflexes kicked in both times the duo went to swing at Leda. Luckily, both of the opposing duo missed their swings. "Come on now pony boy. Just because we attack your girl doesn't mean you gotta attack mine," Norman placed a wink to Leda. "Let's keep this dance up! he shouted, swinging his knife at the girl from eight once more.

Leda rolled her eyes yet again, getting a little tired of constantly having to repeat the action. “Right, you just keep telling yourself that. I can read subtext when I see it, and if she has working eyes, I’m not sure your ‘girl back home’ would be so happy about it.” Then 10 told her she wouldn’t believe what he’d gone through and she couldn’t help it. Maybe it was something about the way he said it, like he’d suffered more than she had and therefore was better than she, or maybe it was just his words, or maybe it was partially from dehydration, but Leda laughed out loud. "Well what the hell did you expect?! " she yelled at him, resisting the urge to conk him on the head with her stake because she knew taking Mira out first was the best option. “I don’t know if you’ve heard, but these are the HUNGER GAMES. They are literally games of death! NO SHIT you’ve been traumatized by them! That’s kind of the whole point. Are you seriously expecting me to be shocked or surprised or feel pity for you? My life was crappy before I even got in these games. You think you’re so special because you’ve been through hell? Guess what? WE ALL HAVE.” Leda blocked his attack on her and swung her arm out to hit the other girl, but she didn’t see if she was successful or not. “Sure, my time in the Games has actually been pretty nice so far. Chilled in a cave, got a fabulously sassy dinosaur, made a friend, killed one of the most annoying people I’ve ever met, and wound up here. So yeah, actually, for the first time in forever my life hasn’t been the worst one available. Or maybe I’m just better adjusted to suffering, and didn’t expect a freaking walk in the park in Games that were specifically set up to kill 96% percent of us!” Leda scoffed at the ignorant boy and shook her head. She knew her experience with the Games could have been a heck of a lot worse, but the first 18 years of her life could have been a heck of a lot better and she couldn’t believe this kid thought the Hunger Games wouldn’t be difficult to endure. Norman once again referred to her in a lightly possessive manner and she raised an eyebrow. “I am not ’your girl,’” she muttered, casually flipping Norman off, but in a more light-hearted, friendly manner than if she were actually pissed at him.

Mira frowned at the accusations that the other tributes were making. She felt guilty for them, knowing that Stacey was somewhere in District Ten hearing these false things. The girl was about to respond with something, anything, but she didn't. She had no witty remarks to make when she felt her life slowly slipping away from her. All she could do was absorb the words that were being spat out by the other teenagers, a mixture of anger and annoyance seeping into their loud voices. She simply stood, listening to the girl from twelve's speech. Mirabelle understood what she was getting at, that no matter what they wanted, the Hunger Games would always end in bloodshed. There could only be one victor, after all. Feeling a knife hurling towards her, the girl didn't even bother blocking it. What was the use? She was already a goner.

The blade entered her torso, as she gasped back in pain, only to feel another blow from the female tribute. Some say your life flashes before your eyes before you die, but Mira didn't see her life. She saw what she had hoped for others, like her brother, family, and Travis. The last blow sent her to the ground, gasping for breath as blood poured out of the open wounds on her body. She pressed her hand to her midsection, as if it would stop the obvious bleeding. Tears streaked out of her sky blue eyes, flowing down her pale cheeks and onto the ground. She looked up at the sky, her gasps becoming more and more strained. "I hope - I hope - " Mira coughed, the noise sending pain coursing throughout her body once more. "I hope this is worth it." As soon as the words slipped out of her mouth, the girl stopped breathing. Mira was dead, to be forgotten by those who would cry about her death. Her intellect would be forgotten, as well as her selflessness and her kindness. Things like that never mattered in the Hunger Games, anyways.

Oh, Mira. I wish I could've done more for you. I wish I had roleplayed you more, and had the chance to develop you as a person more. I wish I could've shown how selfless you were supposed to be, and how you would've honestly died for Travis and his future. Rest in Peace, Mira. I won't forget you.
