COMPLETE! Adrianna escaped the cornucopia with a few cool items and was now free to explore this candyland as she pleased... till something came up that threatened her life. then it'd be a fight. till then though, it was a matter of following this rainbow river to... wherever it led.

she followed the rainbow river till she came across another river, though this was one a deeper brown color. she bent town and took a whiff, and it smelled... chocolatey?
well, wasn't this just tha darndest thing she had ever seen.

she decided to get a look around at what was around her; survey her surroundings for places to hide, any advantageous ground, or anything that she could use, either practically, as a weapon, or perhaps both.

Adrianna crouched down and piked her finger into the river, sniffing it. she reached her same hand in and pulled a couple of the marshmallows from the river she looked at them for a moment.

she sniffed them again, and then, seeing as she wasn't instantly dying from some corrosive chocolate or gasping for clean air from the chocolatey aroma, she popped them in her mouth. hopefully they were not lethal.

Adrianna washed the taste down with a swig of water, and noted not to eat the marshmallows.

everything suddenly became more colorful however, and she wondered if it was a side effect of eating glitter.
she didn't seem to mind the change, as for a moment, she leaned her head back and gazed around her, giggling to herself. she loved pretty colors.

but... other than seeing colors, she felt okay, and so she continued her trek. she decided to follow this chocolate river upstream to see where it led and originated.

Aurora had been wondering around confused and feeling like she had lost her mind. This was so bizarre. She had never seen anything like it. She recalled a fairytale her grandmother told her when she four years, this place was just like the fairytale. The Gamemakers really got creative. That’s when she decided what to do. She started to skip as she wondered around. You aren’t going to fool me Gamemakers! If you want to play Games so will I.

She stopped dead in tracks when she saw the chocolate river. Something didn’t seem right about it. That’s when she spotted the girl. She gasped when she saw her eat a marshmallow and cough up glitter. She couldn’t remember what district the girl was but she decided to fallow the girl hiding behind whatever she could. She wanted to observe the girl before showing herself to him. She adjusted the knives she had hidden between her pants and her body, she didn’t want to sab herself, and made sure box of crackers were safe on the opposite side of her pants from her knives. She watched her fishing rod carefully so not to hit anything.

She wondered if the cameras where on her and this girl. She wondered what her siblings and parents were thinking seeing her stalking this girl. She wondered if Adele was making sure her family was okay. Had Cole done anything stupid yet? She was so worried about Cole, she didn’t want him to do something stupid and get himself killed. Her parents may already be losing her; she couldn’t bear the thought of them losing Cole too. She shock the thought away, she couldn’t spare a tear in case this girl would to attack her if she heard her.

Adrianna cautiously examined the fountain, and then also looked around her to see what else was in the area. [OOC--so a little description of her surroundings at the spring would be nice ^^]
while she did this, she also noticed the girl from '7 in the distance... one of the younger tributes. somehow it seemed she survived the bloodbath.

Adrianna briefly froze, watching the tribute in the distance. she would attack if necessary, but she also saw a potential ally here.... a colorful ally, but everything was colorful right now.
she held onto her shovel just in case, but she adopted a stance that did not make her look like she was going to attack. it was tricky to form alliances later in the games simply because there was no way of telling friend from foe.
It was time to see what this girl did, and she would react accordingly.
until then though, it was also time to look around and see what surrounded her. the girl was still a ways off, and given that she wasn't charging crazily towards her with bloodlust in her eyes... she figured that perhaps she was looking for an ally rather than a kill.

Aurora froze seeing the girl starring at her. She didn’t reach for her knife like the older tributes would have done just stared back. After a few minutes she kept on moving. She hadn’t been paying attention to where her feet where and she tripped over a rock, more like gumdrop. She really was starting to hate this arena. It was so temping to eat the surrounds and dive into the chocolate river but she refused to do so. She was smart enough to see the dangers of the candy themed arena; she trusted nothing in this part of it if it looked too good to be true it was. She was glad she had self-control at this point to. The river smelt so good and the marshmallows floating in it looked so deliciously looking but she knew that when you ate them you coughed up glitter. Who knows what that does to your lungs? She was able to pick up the medium sized gumdrop and chucked it into the river with a splash. Who said having a temper would never help you. She waved at the girl and smiled brightly. She wanted an ally, she knew someone her age and size would need an alley.

Adrianna glanced around and was contemplating going towards the rainbow river, nearly forgetting about the girl following her. everything was still super-colorful, and super-awesome.

then she noticed the girl again as she looked around. it seemed that there was no hostility intended between the two of them, given that the younger girl was smiling and waving.
Smash dropped the giant gumdrop that she was about to bomb into the chocolate river, and approached the girl.

"so hey... uh... alliance?"she asked. she figured she'd be blunt, in case it was a ploy or a trap. she smiled and waved as well, showing that she did not intend to harm this girl unless she attacked first.

Risk stumbled all over the arena looking for Smash, and finally found her, near a chocolate river with a little girl. Wait-- chocolate river? Food? Risk ferociosuly plowed over to the river and began to induldge in the chocolate, seeing if Smash would notice. It tasted so good, way better then tesserae. He wondered if Indi was home watching, or facepalming herself.

Aurora was startled by the girl’s bluntness but liked it. It reminded her of the loggers she had grown up with. They said what they wanted, when the wanted and how they wanted. That’s what she loved the most about working in the woods, no one cared if your manners sucked. She had a feeling she could get close to this girl, but was that really a wise choice. What did it matter if she died?

“Sure,” she said still smiling. The crowd must be so disappointed, what did she care? She started debating whether it was okay to stop being ‘Miss Sunshine’. She let her stance slouch a bit, that was enough for now.

“I’m Aurora, District 7,”she announced.

"Adrianna, District 11." she replied, "though a lot of people call me Smash."
she leaned slightly against her shovel, as the rainbows began to fade. seems her limbs had grown a little weak.

"Friends it is then." she beamed. a little fatigue wasn't about to set her off.
"...just don't eat the marshmallows." she laughed, shaking Aurora's hand.

The chocolate in Risk's mouth begins to burn like crazy. He regrets having eaten it as the temperature is going up past boiling and scalding the inside of his mouth. The river bubbles up, getting hotter as well, and splatter all over him.

Trap damage goes to Risk.

Risk stood up screaming. He couldn't fell his toungue. He started running around looking for water. He started fanning his toungue and jumping around like an idiot. Indi must be screaming at the TV right now, he thought. Then the river bolied and a bubble exploded all over him. The pain burned and he scaremed some more.

“Smash, what an interesting name,” said Aurora. She was curious about the girl still. She didn’t know much about Smash but she wasn’t going to push it. She wanted to know the girl but the again would it hurt more that way in the end.

“I saw what the marshmallows do,” giggled Aurora. This place was making her act all giggly and girly. She hated that. It just wasn’t her; it was the opposite of her. This place was going to drive her mad, it was so well fairytale like.

Adrianna smiled. "thanks." she replied. "and yeah... those marshmallows are a trap... methinks just about everything that wasn't at the Cornucopia is..."

she had noticed the boy off in the distance and what had happened to him. that was not what she wanted to happen to her.

"so... should we get going?"

“If you want,” said Aurora. She could care less. She was just going with the flow. No need to cause extra stress for herself. It was better not to have a real plan because then no one can predict what you were going to do.

“Something tells me self-control will be essential for survival in here,” she said watching the boy. She shook her head, she was glad she had listened to head before doing anything like that. She wanted to get away from the river do to the fact it was it was so temping put dangerous. How are they supposed to make it if everything there is to eat is dangerous.

The chocolate river calms down a bit. Aurora sees an ugly-cute baby duckling floating along it and quaking miserably.

Adrianna nodded. "I've got no preferences and no plan." she shrugged; she made things up as she needed to. this arena was far too unpredictable for her to try and formulate deep strategies. besides... that wasn't how she worked.

she began her walk in the direction of the cotton candy fields, though she also showed interest in the rainbow river. this place was still awesome, evne though it was dangerous.

Aurora saw her ally start to walk toward the cotton candy field. She opened her box of crackers and threw one cracker towards the duck; she hoped she hadn’t hit it with the candy drop she had thrown in earlier. She closed the box back up and put it back in her hiding spot. She moved a few feet away from it in case it turned into some monster. Who knows what could happen in this place?

She started to turn to walk away from river but stayed close by to the river for a few minutes since she knew where her ally was going. She wanted see if the duck would eat her cracker. She was also curious if it would turn into some crazy creature or not. But she was keeping her distance still though.
