Cliff Time

I got to the base of the cliff, I knew the others would be behind me and not far behind at that. "Alright, if any of you are too scared to climb this bad boy I suggest you leave, also anyone got any rope? I think it could help in this situation." I say and examine the cliffs. I'll go first, and find the proper footing that's stable enough, I can't promise anything but I think we should set up camp on top." I say.

"no sorry maria i do not have any rope." Josh followed behind maria, she is very fast. that is good in a partner. he pulls out two of the knives i got from the cornucopia and use them to climb the rocks sticking them in removing one and bringing it up. i continue this climbing up behind maria and in front of brandon. i couldn't hear Jake though. he might of left, i hope not.

The Cliffside seems stable enough to climb, but night is coming, it would be best to hurry.

Before we started climbing I noticed that Brandon has two rope an I smiled. "Alright Brandon, this is for our safety, I will use both and then once we get to the top, I will untie us. She took the rope gently from him and then tied the rope onto the back of Josh's belt and then to the front of Brandon's. She then tied the rope to the back of her belt and the front of Josh's. "Now we are tied together and we are in a group." I say. Then I decide to open my bag and see if there's something in there that I didn't put in there. I knew night was growing so I closed my bag and decided I'd look later and began to climb using my swords to help me. After a few minutes of going up the cliff and doing it fast we made it to the top and that's when I untied us all. "Alright, it's time to make camp so we need to use our resources to make some form of a camp." I say and then finally open my bag again to look inside it to see what I had in there besides the stuff I already had.

"ok sounds good." stated josh after they got up. he looked out into the arena, it was so green and natural, it always shocks josh at how realistic the gamemakers can make things look. "i have this backpack but i am not sure what is in it." he slings it over his shoulder, carefully opening it and removing the contents.

OOC: now i need to know wut is inside it.

Josh opens his backpack to find a sleeping bag. Maria's is shown to contain four oranges in a small sac.

josh groan."sorry guys there is only one sleeping bag in mine, i hope you guys have more" josh takes it out and lays it as far away from the cliff as and sets the heavy backpack on it to work kind of like a paperweight. "so guys, what is our plan for whenever we are forced to climb down by the gamemakers." josh asked.

Maria looked at the oranges in the bag and smiled, she took her apple and put it in there as well as her beef strip pack. She then organized the rest of her bag and then looked around. I thought for a moment, "Well we have two sleeping bags, food, matches, rope, and blankets. As far as I am aware. Two people can surely fit in one sleeping bag I know that much." I said and pulled out my sleeping bag. "Perhaps we should use the blanket for a base of sorts on the ground and then set out sleeping bags on top. Or our other alternative is to use pieces of the blanket to cut up so we have something to help start a fire if we find any wood." I say and then take a small sip or water and return the bottle to my bag.

The surrounding area on this part of the cliffs is barren, not a tree in sight.

"i think the blanket as a base technique is good, we just need to find a good source of water though. that bottle will not last forever" stated josh as he went through his supplies one more time. "the sleeping bags will most likely keep us warm, and a fire causes unwanted attention, even if we are up so high. so who did you kill on the way here maria." josh just thought it would be interesting to know.

I sighed, "Having a fire on the first night isn't ideal for me." I said and then put my matches away. "You have a blanket right?" I asked because I had thought I had seen him having a blanket. I returned the rope to Brandon we wouldn't need it. "I think after we get some rest we should go check out the other cliffs." I said. "Perhaps we can somehow find water that way or maybe the cliffs lead somewhere else that may have water who knows." I said and then looked at Josh. "I killed the district nine girl."

I thought for a moment, "Well the blanket isn't absolutely needed anyway, sleeping bags should protect us." I said and then I looked out into the arena and I could spot out all the tributes, "Well, one of the reasons why I came up here was because we can see exactly if any of our fellow tributes wander off and whether we need to worry, by the looks of it the careers are settling down for the night and I figure as much for the other tributes. You and Brandon can sleep though, I feel like staying awake for a bit, not quite tired yet and I may take a look around of our area just so I get a good feel for it." I said and smiled.

"sounds like a plan, can you wake me up for the midnight showing of who dies." jpsh wanted to see it bad, another thing popped up in his head. "it is sad what happened to the district 8 boy, you know, the one who stepped off the plate early. i honestly think i got a little of him on my shirt" josh said with a laugh looking down on a tiny blood stain on his wetsuit.

I smiled, "No worries, I'll wake you up for them. I'll also be waking you up if someone decides to hunt us during the night." I say chuckling and then I slung my back pack on and took hold of both of my swords, I would go for a walk but it was dark and I had to watch the guys while they slept.

I looked around a bit as I wandered off but I didn't go too far, soon the anthem would play and then I'd need to wake Josh up. Maria walked back to the camp and sat down on her sleeping bag and held onto her knives in case and now she just needed to wait a bit longer for the anthem.

I looked at all the tributes that died, it of course ended with my district of twelve. Claudius died, he saved Griffin though and I was still thanking him for that. Now that he was gone I wouldn't have to kill him, at least Josh made his death painful but his district partner was gone too. I looked over at him, "You going to take over for a few hours while I get some sleep?" I asked, "or do you want me to watch a bit longer?"

"oh dont worry you go get some sleep, i will stand watch" josh looks at maria and smiles as he walks over to the cliff sitting on its edge looking over the arena. trying to recap in his head what has happened to him, all so fast. he hasnt had quality thinking time like this.

I went over to my sleeping bag and crawled inside it. I kept my weapons very close to me and I tried to fall asleep but I already missed home, my solution I suppose was to make it home..I wont have to miss it long, I keep telling myself and eventually I fall asleep.
