Physical Appearance:

Standing at an average height of 5 feet 4 inches, Isabelle weighs approximately 120 lbs. She has dark forest green eyes, with dark brows and a soft jaw line. Her lips are a very light pink, lighter than the color of a pink rose, with white teeth and a charming smile. She has a creamy porcelain-like completion with no freckles or marks, except for a blotch of a birthmark on the nape of her neck. Isabelle loves to laugh, so you can almost always see her smiling. Her eyes are said to light up when she smiles, which is probably one of her best features. She likes to wear short pants instead of long jeans, things like capris and khaki shorts are her staples, and she usually just throws on a blouse or t-shirt to pair with it. When it comes to working, she usually just throws her long hazel brown hair in a ponytail or bun to keep it away from her face. Her hair cuts off about halfway down her shoulders so it isn't too long, but she prefers to keep it up regardless. Isabelle isn't any model, but she has a decent amount of curves that are quite flattering when she wears a nice skirt or dress. She doesn't have any piercings, nor does she plan on getting any.

Pets:

A small cat named Pumpkin whom she's been taking care of for about a year. Pumpkin wanders in and out of her house freely, but knows how much Isabelle cares for her.

Personality:

Careless; fun loving; even wild. Isabelle is the type of person who is willing to do anything just for the heck of it. She loves the thrill of an adventure, and enjoys sticking her nose into other people's business. Of course, that does get her into trouble from time to time. She loves to laugh and is extremely attracted to anyone will a killer sense of humor. She enjoys giving people advice and listening to people's problems, which is probably why she likes to pry into their business, but is good at giving people advice regardless. When it comes to the people she doesn't know, Isabelle tends to simmer down a bit because she's a tad self concious. She doesn't want people to think bad of her, and sees first impressions as everything. When faced with problems, she likes to keep to herself and doesn't mention even a hint about it to anyone. She isn't any good at voicing her problems or going to others for help, and tends to shun them out when they ask her what's wrong. With the possibility of her getting picked for the Hunger Games, Isabelle won't admit it, but she's scared out of her mind. She knows she doesn't have it in her to make it through the end and become the next victor, so the fact that she'll die makes it even worse. She wants more than anything to get out of it and does through a fight with her brother every year to go the reapings because she's scared she might break out crying.

Isabelle is easy to talk to, and extremely outgoing too. She's there if you every need someone's shoulder to cry on, and extremely supportive. She has a way with words that you'd think no one else does, and just talking to her would give you a good laugh or make you feel a lot better. When it comes to her own problems, Isabelle tends shuns people out and tries to change the subject almost immediately. She isn't any good with her own feelings. She's protective of the people she loves and refuses to talk bad about them, though she may be weak or have nothing against you, but she'll try more than anything to fight for the people she cares about.

Talents:

Besides giving advice, Isabelle is a very good cook. At her house, she usually alternates cooking dinner with her mom and learns everything she knows from her. She also has good eye/hand coordination, so she's good at throwing daggers and knives.

History

Isabelle Marie Mandalay was born on a cold spring evening to Josephine & Kevin Mandalay, as the second child and only daughter of the family. Her brother, Antonio, had just been born the year before, and had celebrated his first birthday only a couple days before. Given the environment Isabelle was given to grow up in, she didn't have, to any extent, an easy childhood. As a baby, her playmate was often her brother and they'd spend the nights sneaking in and out of their rooms to play hide and seek. Once her brother turned 9, however, everything started to change. There was no more play dates between the two, because now Antonio spent his days working at the barn with his father. Antonio changed that year, Isabelle still remembered every bit of it, and he stopped talking to her, only doing things such as saying 'Good Morning' and heading out to the farm after he'd eaten some of the breakfast she made for him. Isabelle missed the relationship she had with her brother, but went on trying to live without it. No matter how hard she tried, however, no one could replace him. As the years went by, to Isabelle's disappointment, the farther apart the two siblings became. Around the time her brother stopped talking to her, Isabelle's mother took the opportunity to teach her daughter to cook. At the ripe age of eight years old, Isabelle had been cooking ever since.

When Isabelle turned 12, like all other kids her age, her name was put into the Hunger Games reaping. Her brother's had just been placed last year, yet, unlike his sister, he showed no fear. Her parents showed her no reassurance about the reaping, shrugging it off as if it was nothing, and ignored Isabelle every time she'd mention how scared she was. Why her parent's didn't seem to care; Isabelle didn't know. She cried herself to sleep the day before the reaping, remembering the look on her brother's face when he caught her crying that night. It was first time in three years that he'd even as much as look at her. Finally, the day of the reaping came. She'd been a nervous wreck then, eyes puffed and red with her legs shaking and knees trembling. Her mother had put a lacy pink dress on her back then, and wished Isabelle the tiniest hint of good luck. It was like an answer to Isabelle's prayers when she wasn't picked.
