Just then, I noticed that Estrella, the girl from ten, was with Flint. They must have allied. "Luca was almost dead. We had to kill him." I explained. I panted slightly, pain coursing through my leg. It had somehow gotten worse. But not by much. "We-we had to." I muttered.

I lowered my head down slightly. Poor Luca, he was in the bad place at the wrong time, at least now I knew who it was that died, it hadn't been Natha, so he was still safe, hopefully in the dungeon. I looked at Flint and then at the others, they were all careers..I would probably be the first to die if it were to be that way, careers didn't usually like non careers. I would have attempted to make medicine for Esther but the fact we were in ruins, my chance at finding the things I needed were slim, also I had no fire and couldn't risk a fire. "I don't think we should go to the ramparts." I said mentally crossing out that idea. "Maybe the whole castle is a bad idea, if the ramparts fall apart, most likely some spots in the castle will too." I said observing things mentally based on what I have seen and heard.

As if on queue a part of the southern most tower collapsed and it could be heard smashing to the ground from the drawbridge.

I nodded. "How about this. You guys help us..." I gestured to myself and Silver."And then we make camp in the Main Hall. Probably the safest place." I said. My blanket started to get a bit blood-stained, so I removed it. "Wait, where are the others?" I asked, a bit frantically. But, I forgot about my question and jumped, as I watched one of the Southern towers crash down. "On second thought, let's make camp outside." I said shakily, since jumping certainly hadn't helped the pain in my leg.

Silver jumped at the sound of crashing stone and then sucked in a sharp breath. Her knee that had been originally hurt was protesting against this movement. Silver bent over to avoid showing the pain on her face. At the same time she looked at her knee. It was starting to swell, just like she had predicted. Silver carefully stood straight again, her face blank and expressionless.

I wasn't honestly startled that much by the clash of stones working together, I half expected it, I mean it was an old ruin. Like I had said before the castle wasn't very safe, that was common sense but I suppose that was a thought to keep to my self. I looked to Flint and at the medical kit, how many time could we use the medical kit before it ran out? What if we needed it more later on when mutts attacked? "What if a bigger attack comes later and we have no medical kit, we're all a little bit injured here, except Flint. Can you guys manage to walk and set up camp or do you absolutely need to use the medical kit, I ask because we need to be careful with how we use things and be wise with it." I said softly thinking about things.

I looked up, the tower falling was a big problem for my ideal plan. It meant the others would go too, obviously. "That tower was a warning" I say, flat out monotone. I ignore every question by everyone except for Esther. For the moment, hers was most important to answer. It was about other tributes, and that was the main thing in the way of getting home for anyone. "Hunter and Marnie are stuck in the Dungeons with Nathan" I say, "We got out just before the exit we took collapsed"

I stood up slowly. I pretended as though this news didn't phase me. Even though it did. But, I knew that I had to keep going if i wanted to survive."I can walk far enough." I said a bit hesitantly. I took a deep breath. I grabbed my apple and took a bite. It tasted good, so I took another. I walked to the moat and crouched. I splashed some water on my face, then my wound, and then into my mouth. Then I stood up, ready to go. I grabbed my things and held tightly to my sword. The water had cooled my throat and now I felt much better. Then my vision blurred. I coughed a bit, as dust filled our area. "SO, where should we go, it's getting dark. We need to set up camp." I said.

Silver swayed again. She was getting annoyed at herself now. Why did she keep swaying like some delicate little girl? Silver dug around in her things and found an apple. She didn't know when that had got in there. Either way she took a bite before following Esther to the water. She drank a bit of water and splashed her face, hoping that would wake her up and stop the dizziness. It didn't really work. Maybe sleep would help. Silver stood up and turned to the others. "Okay." she said a bit faintly. "I'm ready."

I thought for a moment, I was like the fourth wheel, I wasn't meant to be here but because of a medical kit I was still alive and uninjured by the careers. It seemed everyone had food but me, maybe there was still come left at the cornucopia. That's when it hit me. "Maybe we should set camp on top of the cornucopia." I said taken note of it, it was up high and there was bound to be some supplies there left. It seemed like the best place to me. "Plus there might be some things left over." I said and looked around, I began to cough a bit as the dust seeped into my lungs a bit and fogged up my vision.

I shake my head at the three of them. I didn't trust the Castle at the moment. "We should camp out here for the night, keep a guard." I say, "No use going into a castle that might fall down on us in the middle of the night, anyways" I point out. "Wait until morning, then we find a better place to camp out" I say firmly, my voice taking on the tone of the leader I had been when I had decided to go into the dungeons. It was a tone, that hopefully few would object to.

"So are we going to camp here or somewhere else?" Silver asked. She looked around to see if this was a safe area. It seemed safe enough but you never know. Then Silver noticed Estrella wasn't eating. "Do you want some food Estrella?" she asked. "I'm basically carrying all the food we collected; 12 boxes of crackers. So I have some to spare."

"I can take first watch if need be." I say. I wasn't that tired and also I don't think I could sleep if one of the careers were to keep guard. I also would like my own time alone to think to my self and it'd help me keep a clear mind. I was strong, and I wouldn't dare try to kill any of them in their sleep, I was out numbered if they decided to attack and I didn't really have anywhere to run. so I was decided on what I wanted to do. That was when Silver took my attention and asked if I wanted some food. "Yes please." I said, it was better than none. Maybe Silver wouldn't try to kill me now.. Maybe none of them would but sooner or later I'd have to fight someone but for now I assumed I was safe.

I took a last bite of my apple and chucked the core into the moat, It made a big splash about forty yards away in the water, and then appeared again, floating about on the surface. "Here, for now" I say with confidence. It was the best move, obviously everyone was tired from the day behind us, and I knew that while the others said it would be good to move, they also wanted to rest, and we could move tomorrow, with the sun. I realize it is getting cold out and reach for my tarp, which had thankfully dried out. "We can use this for warmth" I say, unrolling it with one hand. It was large enough for all of us, and then some.

I nodded. "Okay." I said to Flint. Then I turned to Estrella."I'll keep guard with you." I said firmly. I didn't trust anyone but maybe Silver. Plus, you could never be too careful. I yawned a bit. i laid out my blanket and sat on it. I placed my sword on my lap. This was going to be a long night.

Silver nodded. She checked her injuries one more time, making sure nothing was bleeding. She didn't want blood on herself or anyone else. But all of her injuries seemed to be bruises, no blood. Silver took out a box of crackers. "Take the whole thing." she said, tossing the box at her. There were still eleven left, plenty.

I shivered and wrapped my blanket around myself for warmth. But, I stayed sitting up. I knew I couldn't fall asleep, and there was no way I would if I stayed up. I gripped my sword tightly. I hoped that no one would bump into us. I didn't have the energy for a fight. I pointed at the crackers in Estrella's hands as if to say 'Could I have one'. I needed some food to keep me going.

I wasn't shocked when Esther offered to stay up, I mean I wouldn't trust this my self if I was in their spot so I didn't complain. I sat there much in a ball form with my knees close to my chest and I opened the box of crackers. I heard Esther ask for one and I gave her a few. I then took some my self and munched on them keeping my hunger at bay. It was better than nothing, and I was still alive. About ten of us was dead already if I counted correctly. After awhile of staring off in the distance I hadn't noticed how cold I was, being wet with the cold air didn't help much. I stood up for a moment. Under the leather I had a plain pair of black pants on and just a shirt. I laid my leather out to try and I'd put it back on later when it wouldn't make me freeze to death.

I nibbled on the crackers. "Thanks." I whispered. I wet my lips. "Is Hunter okay?" I asked, so quietly that I'm sure the Capitol couldn't hear it. "Where is he? What happened?" I asked, just as quietly as my first question. I took another nibble from my cracker. I almost felt afraid for Hunter. Almost.
