Let the Games Begin![Cornucopia]

I shrugged, indicating I was okay with checking for a down first. "We'll have to figure out if there is a down from here first" I point out. We knew there was an up, since we were able to look at it. I personally wanted to go up right away. The appeal of the ramparts and towers was drawing me in.

I decided that I wouldn't need the axe because I had no idea how to even wield it, so I dropped it on the ground. I shifted my weapons around, and continued holding the spear in my hand. "If there is a dungeon, there has to be someway inside the castle," I said, ready to move on. "Do we have enough food?" I asked.

Being as sneaky and silent as possible, Star tip-toed towards a spear. She glanced around, hoping the careers wouldn't notice her. She picked it up, grabbed some nearby crackers and prepared to run. Oh, darn it, I should have run before. She cursed in her mind. She took a few steps away from the other tributes, thinking of which way to go, not making a sound. Please, please don't notice me... she pleaded with the world. She couldn't see them anywhere, but she guessed somebody might be around.

When the gong sounds, I'm frozen, unsure of what to do. I watch with disappointment as Silver grabs all of the knives. So much for my signature weapon. I spotted a spiked mace and ran for it. Speed wasn't the issue. I managed to salvage a few apples too. I grabbed a spear as well. Those two weapons would have to be as good as knives for me until I could try and kill Silver.

Star gripped her spear and crackers tightly and ran. She hurried away as fast as possible, heading to what looked like a hall with not too many people. "Come on, come on..." she muttered to herself. "Run faster..." She scampered away from the Cornucopia, biting her lip. Hurry, hurry, hurry! she told herself. Get away!

The most important thing to do now was to run. I needed to find water quickly before I lost my strength. Water went down into the ground so I'd need to go some place lower. Maybe a dungeon of some sort? It was cooler down there and pretty much an underground basement, water could easily get in there. I also needed to get away from the cornucopia unless I wanted to be killed before the real games had even begun. I ran along the floor until I saw the drawbridge. Maybe there was water underneath there instead.

Klark was back at the Cornucopia. He had run from it, and was now running to it. He knew that he didn't have much time, but he wanted to scavange the things that were left over while the Careers were at his hiding spot...where he was no longer hiding.
He saw that the Cornucopia was pretty much picked through, but there were still some weapons and food. Apples...His mind drooled. Klark picked up a bookbag that was ment for firewood, but stored it with a few apples. He picked up the nearest weapon, which happend to be an axe. He picked up a box of matches, and put them in the bag, too.

Klark pickes up an apple from the crates, eating it, saving the others for later. He lookes around, realizing that the Castle is falling apart. Nice of the Capitol to give us an arena that's falling apart. Not going down, because the whole Castle might fall and then I'd be trapped... Klark wasn't sure where to go next, but he needed water. He had yet to explore the second floor of the Castle, so he guessed that it might be a good place to start.

Klark shouted as a rock fell from the ceiling above. He got the message that the gamekeepers were sending. Leave. But, Klark also needed to leave. He needed water. Klark wasn't sure what else was on the first floor, but decided to go up the stairs, touching each one lightly with his foot as he walked, hoping that the whole castle didn't come crashing down on him.
