There's nothing wrong with just a little bit of fun

Kaden was supposed to spend the day with Lily and his mother, but that hadn't quite worked out in what he'd considered his favor. He loved playing with Lily, but Momma wouldn't let him play the way he wanted too because Lily was "too small" or "too tired," so Kaden had wandered off to do something else. Bubbah had told him not to wander out in the naybahood on his own, so he went the other direction. That's pretty much how he ended up sticking his toes in the mud- after he'd taken his clean shoes and socks off, of course- down by the lake.

When someone else showed up, he'd gotten pretty bored on his own, so he waved. "Hey, wanna play wif me?"

"Okay, mummy!" Minzy hollered over to her mummy who was further away from the lake. The victor sat there and waved to her little daughter, letting her go and have her fun. "And don't go into the water!" She reminded her once more before the victor sighed and laid back on her elbows, watching Minzy run off towards the lake. Minzy hobbled around at first, picking up pretty flowers. She went closer and closer into the edge of the lake with a handful of flowers and almost stepped into stinky mud. She took a couple of steps back, pouting at the mud before she lifted her gaze, seeing her friend right smack in the middle of it, asking her if she wanted to play too. And of course she did! Minzy flashed a bright grin and stuck her hand high up in the sky to wave to him. "Kaden! Hello!" She tilted her head in confusion and asked, "What are you doing in the mud?"

Kaden grinned as he recognized the girl that had joined him. "Minzy! Hi!" He replied, then plopped down in the mud, patting the space next to him. "Havin' fun, ob-i-ous-y" he explained, looking away from her to start building...something out of the mud. He frowned as it started to look like just a blob. Well, so much for that castle he'd wanted.

Minzy hesitated for awhile as Kaden pat the space next to him asking her to join in. She turned around to look at her mother for approval, and she didn't really seem to mind, as if almost recognising that familiar face in the mud form her class. Minzy broke into a wide smile and was about to jump in when she saw him wiggling his bare toes and spotting his clean shoes by the side. With one hand, she removed her shoe and hat and cautiously stepped in with her small feet. When she finally made it to Kaden, she grinned and sat down down him, not caring too much about her clothes anymore. She looked down to the bunch of flowers in her hand and looked around the mud, disappointed to not see much flowers anymore. So she stretched out her arm to Kaden giving him the whole bunch, "Here! I pick 'em over there." She pointed far away from where they were, with still some flowers growing. Glancing back to his hands she poked the pile of mud and asked, "What are you making?"

Kaden continued to work on his "castle" while Minzy did whatever she was doing. It was actually starting to look like a building when she handed him the flowers. "Flowahs? Great!" he smiled at her, then took the bouquet and looked through them all, trying to find the prettiest ones for the top of the castle. Once he'd decided, he set them all aside and went back to work. "I'm makin' a castle for Bubbah and Wiwy and Momma and Daddy and Pwetty," The boy said as he piled more mud on. "We'd all live there someday. And maybe you could come color wif Bubbah and me! That'd be fun, right Minzy?"

Minzy stared at the mud castle Kaden was building, starting to look more like a real castle as he slapped more mud on, "Wiwy and Pwetty?" She asked, wasn't too sure who they were but they must be family. She continued to stare in awe, thinking about how big the castle will hafta be for them to all live inside it. She broke her gaze away when Kaden asked her something, "Hm? Yeah! I wanna come and colour too." She sat down opposite Kaden and grabbed a handful of mud, "Can I help?"

Kaden continued to slap mud onto the castle, building it higher and higher. "Wiwy and Pwetty live with Bubbah, so they'd come too," he said as the mud squished in his hands right before he added it to the house. "You do? Really?" Kaden looked to Minzy with a grin about a mile long, "That's great! But we'll hafta make it even bigger now, so there's room." Kaden didn't hesitate to continue adding the mud, but by doing that the castle lost some of its shape. Kaden seemed to ignore that as he nodded to Minzy. "Of course you can! Youz gonna be visiting here!"
