| After Celestia had said goodbye to her family, her escort immediately took the two District One Tributes to the Bullett Train. This was her final chance to say goodbye. As she boarded, she blew a kiss out to the people there, cheering. I wonder if its depressing for the districts that never win to see two kids plunge to their death. She thought, watching the door close in front of her eyes. Quietly, she walked around, exploring all the cars on the train. There were two bedroom cars, a kitchen car, and then more that she didn't know what exactly they were. Celestia sat in one of the bedrooms, on the small bed, the size she had in her home. The girl laid on the bed for about an hour, wondering about who she'd meet in the Games. Celestia had planned on there being a career group, but she didn't really know. The boy looked a bit fond about it, like her. She stared at the wall, trying to connect invisible dots within her head. Her connect-the-dots made a smiley face. After that, she got up and walked in to the kitchen car. She asked one of the people at the desk for some Iced Tea with a Lemon, and in a few minutes, it was made for her. Celestia smiled and sat down towards the corner of the car, drinking the sweet beverage. | |

| OutfitCarissa was sitting in her train car with her cat, waiting for her tributes, when she thought she heard one come in. "Oooh!" she squealed, getting to her feet in her 4-inch heels, which was low for her, and brushing off her dress. She hurried out into the dining car to meet the tribute, who at first glance appeared to be the female tribute and was sipping some sort of tea. Carissa sat down across from her on the plush white couch, an excited smile on her face. "Hiiii! It's so nice to meet you! I'm Carissa," she said sweetly, giving the girl a little wave. "What's your name?"

| OutfitCarissa got up to order a drink, speaking to Celestia over her shoulder. "I'm your mentor, if you couldn't tell. Shirley temple, please," she added politely, the last few words directed at the person behind the counter, who quickly mixed one up and handed it to her. "Thanks, hun." Carissa took a sip of her drink and sat back down. "I can just give you some general advice, but do you have any questions? Do you know what angle you'd like to go with? I'll be trying to help you and your district partner... wherever he is... get some sponsors, so I'd like to know who you're trying to portray, as that's who I'm selling them on." She crossed her legs and pointed at Celestia. "I need to know you, even if that you's not the real you. Actually, in addition to the angle you're thinking about, why don't you just tell me about yourself? Skill set, age, strengths, weaknesses?"

| ---District 1---Male---18---Abel Rhine had stepped up to that stage like the idea that he may die in the upcoming weeks hadn't even occurred to him. Because honestly it hadn't. He was 18 by now, just turned it to be exact, and so if he was going to volunteer now was the time. Unfortunately he didn't need to try and force his way into the tribute spot, he was picked and no one volunteered for him. Everyone knew better, everyone knew this was exactly where he wanted to be and exactly what was supposed to happen. This was Abel Rhine's year, this was the year District 1 would see another victor, and out of everyone who stood on that stage Abel had the best shot of doing just that.
His family visit had been quick, his father had his normal and proud look on his face while his much younger mother cried a little as her 'baby' was now being swept off to the games. Out of everyone in his family, his mother was the one who always protested the idea of Abel going into the Hunger Games, his father on the other hand was always the one who pushed it, pushed the training and paid premium for the best trainers and equipment. His goodbyes to his twin sister though hit him the hardest, he didn't cry because he never would, but it was the thing he had dreaded more then anything and mainly because he had always hoped that his sister would be going in with him into the games. But now that wasn't an option, some other girl would be at his side at least for now...a girl who in no way could ever be anything like his sister.
Abel stepped into the train and without so much as a friendly word to his district partner he entered a room that he decided to claim as his own. The furnishings were nice, but this was exactly what you expected from the Capitol, lush furniture and rich foods and drinks. Only the best for those chosen for the honor of competing in the games. A luxury that Abel sure wasn't going to pass up or even complain about at all, this was after all that place he wanted to be. He didn't change out of his reaping outfit even though he could have, no he enjoyed the soft white sweater that he was wearing to look nice in front of the audience, his mother always did have an eye for fashion and so of course he knew that he wouldn't come off as being in such horrible shape like some of the poor districts' tributes surely would.
Maybe an hour or so had passed, maybe even two when he started hearing the talking coming from outside his room. It was an activity that Abel himself never truly liked to engage in unless needed. His sister was always the more talkative one, the one with the tendency to make friends easily while Abel usually kept quiet and to himself unless absolutely necessary. It was probably his mentor and district partner speaking outside...I mean who else could it be? None of the Avoxes that were hanging around surely. Abel debated going out there, from what he saw and could tell about his district partner she certainly wasn't someone he would have even associated himself with, she seemed....dull and not too bright. As for his mentor, well what more could she teach him that he already didn't know? How to make friends? He wasn't really looking for that either. The careers, if there were careers that is, would flock to each other and the audience always liked a strong career pack, a fact of which he knew all too well.
The door slid open, making a sleek and almost metallic sounding 'whoosh' as it zoomed in front of him. He walked past the two chatting girls, not speaking to either really but instead making a bee line right to the food table which was overflowing with so many types of fruits, breads and soups that anyone in the poorer districts who hadn't seen any sort of decent food in their whole lives mouths drool with want. Abel on the other hand just saw it as another meal, he had never known the hardship of going to be hungry, never known the knot in his stomach that signaled his body craved nourishment. He grabbed a plate at first, looked at his reflection in the white porcelain that clearly reflected his face and perfectly caught all of his features in it. But instead of loading it full of food he instead set it back. He grabbed a shiny, red apple whose sides gleamed in the fluorescent lighting of the train, catching parts of the furnishings in its reflection. Abel examined it a moment or two, seeing if it was truly perfect or if there were any soft spots that might have been hiding underneath its colorful skin, but nothing seemed to be amiss on the piece of fruit that sat in his palm in front of him.

| Celestia nodded as the mentor started to speak. The girl ordered a drink. She didn't quite understand why everything was basically there at the snap of a finger. It wasn't like that at her home. "No questions in particular, I guess. The only real question I have is is it fun?" She asked her mentor, after the girl spoke almost a mile a minute. "Welps, basically, I'm trying to act like the adorable tribute that people love. That happens at my home.." Celestia said, taking another drink of her Iced Tea. "And uh, I have good like sword fighting skills and stuff like that. And I'm 17, almost 18. Depending on how long the games are I might celebrate my B-day in the games." She said. Celestia was about to continue when the car door opened. There stood the boy from her district. He was quiet, as he stared at the two, got food and then she didn't really know.. "Hello!" Celestia said with a happy look on her face. | |

| OutfitCarissa nodded, and grabbed a cute little purple notepad that she'd left on the table earlier to take note of everything Celestia said. "Mhm. Right, right. Great. Maybe we can get someone to sponsor you a cake," she teased as she finished jotting down the important parts. She noticed the male tribute had walked in and didn't seem to be paying them much attention. "Nice of you to show up," Carissa said with a laugh. "Come on, you don't have to take my advice, but at least listen to it." She looked back at Celestia. "No questions, then? Oh, right, sorry... yes, it can be fun if you let it. But it's a rather high-stakes kind of fun, so don't get too distracted. Always be on alert, which brings me to general advice." She frowned. "Don't get attached. Allies are good, even some friendships can be helpful, but make sure there's nobody whose survival you care about more than your own if you want to live. Treasure yourself above all others." Carissa thought for a moment, then grinned. "As for the Capitol, this should be obvious, but make them love you. I hate to say it, but their support is more important than remaining true to yourself. If you can do both, great. If not, fake it 'til you make it. You can go back do being yourself when you get home." She shrugged. "Anything else... oh, use your surroundings to your advantage, but don't take them for granted. Be cautious, always. Let's see... don't be afraid to manipulate people... oh, and naturally, don't be afraid to kill. There's time for guilt later. Do what you have to do." Carissa finished her little rant and got up, approaching Abel. "And you, dear, have you thought about what angles you want to do?" She looked back and forth between the two of them. "Are you two planning on being allies? I must say, everyone loves a strong career pack." |

| OutfitCarissa watched her tributes converse with a smile. She was excited for them to experience the Capitol and the Games. She spaced out for a second, remembering her own experience fondly, and when she tuned back in she was a bit confused on what Celestia was saying. Abel seemed like the typical career, but she wasn't as sure of her other tribute except that she appeared to be flirting with Abel. Carissa laughed. "Well, I don't know if I would call careers adorable or cute, dear. But uh, if you're going to go for the flirtationship angle, you can ask for tips on that directly," she said, raising her eyebrows. They would probably arrive at the Capitol soon, withing a few hours at most, and she couldn't wait for their interviews. "Have you two been watching the reaping tapes and getting a feel for the other tributes? I'm sure you're great on your own, but if you want a strong career pack I would advise scouting people ahead of time. Or at the very least, try to determine who's a threat so you can keep an eye on them." She winked at her tributes with the compliment, not in a flirtatious manner at all, but more of an encouragement to give them confidence. |
