| As Felicity stepped onto the train she gasped a large breath, it was simply beautiful. She saw the high-technology and all the food that was layed out before her, kind of like a buffet. She saw a little tray with cups of something that looked like chocolate but liquid. She took a cup and started to drink it, it felt simply amazing. The warm chocolate but vanilla feeling running down her throat was pretty tasty. When she started to look around, she thought of Ethan. She wanted to see him, she was really hoping to see him again and talk to him. She started to grab a blueberry muffin and sat down to eat it. | |

| ethan grimes Ethan sighed as he boarded his train. The only person he wanted to see that second was Felicity. 'Had she lost her mind?' he thought to himself as he leaned up against a wall in the lobby car. Why would his happily-living best friend and girlfriend want to be forced into a death trap? More importantly, why would he follow her? Yes, of course he loved the girl dearly, but loved her enough to follow her into the Games? Possibly.
He claimed a bedroom, and flung himself onto the bed. He lay on his back, sighed once again, and covered his face with his hands. Her face popped into his mind almost immediately. 'Where would she be?' Ethan pondered, removing his hands from his face, then sitting up. He chewed on the inside of his mouth before standin up, hesistating, then walking out through the cars and into the dining car. He looked around the car before spotting her familair face.
"Felicity, I... What... What happened?" Ethan stammered out before feeling a worried look on his face. He looked over at the food tables, scanned over them with his eyes, and found a pastry with apricot filling. He hesitated before picking it up. He looked back to Felicity and waited for a reply. coded by Kellisabell<3 |

| Felicity looked up, she saw her boyfriend and started to cry. "I-I honestly don't know. I just felt so bad for the girl, did you see how bad she was crying? I couldn't resist but help." Felicity said, she was almost starting to choke out each word. She ran up and hugged him. "Why did you volunteer? Even if we do become allies, we would end up killing each other." She said, she was really sobbing now, she almost looked like she just was forced to fricking kill someone she loved. She started to calm down, but not completely. Her words we're still ringing inside her head, "I volunteer!". | |

| Another door slid open to the dining car, revealing a slender middle-aged man dressed in a pinstriped suit, casually removing a pair of glasses as he entered the car. "I'll tell you what happened," he replied to the male's statement, "You both volunteered Romeo-and-Juliet style in a fantastic story I can actually sell!" He beamed, but the smile didn't reach his eyes. The man knew these tributes wouldn't make it; anyone could see that from the way they'd decided to join the Games. "Do they even teach that in schools anymore?" He asked, thinking of the classic Shakespearean work as he crossed to the food cart. He selected a fine-grained roll before turning back to the tributes, ignoring the girl's senseless babbling as she hadn't noticed him. "The name's Barwet. Regan Barwet. I'm your mentor these Games, and you're my tributes!" He looked at them for a second, then pointed to the girl. "Don't tell me...you're... Felicity?" his finger moved to the boy then, "And you're Ethan? Correct?" | |

| Felicity saw a man walk in and guessed he was her--- their mentor. She heard him say "I'll tell you what just happened, you volunteered Romeo-and-Juliett style, finally something I can sell!" and she just burst out laughing. She couldn't help it, her laugh was so girly and high-pitched it was awkward. "Yeah, I'm Felicity." She said, she then started to think the man thought they wouldn't make it. Somehow, but he thought something along the lines of that. She decided to grab a knife and throw it at the wall, it barely stuck. "Well, better start training now or never a little bit," She said, she picked it out again and threw. | |

| Ethan was almost surprised when he saw Felicity cry. After she ran up into his arms, he hesitated, then softly stroked her back while emitting a comforting 'shhh'. He buried his head in her hair and sighed. "Because, Fel," he started. "I could never leave you.. and if either one of us didn't make it... I'd want you to be right next to me in the end..." His voice trailed off as he craned his head down and kissed his girlfriend softly on the lips. The moment was broken up as their mentor walked in. Ethan gently set Felicity to his side.
Regan, as he claimed to be, was mentioning a Romeo-and Juliet story at the Reapings. Ethan's fists tightened suddenly, almost getting a bit enraged when he mentioned the part about a 'story he can sell'. Though, his fists released their tensions as he heard a slight laugh coming from Felicity. He raised his eyebrows for a quick second while placing his gaze elsewhere. Regan went to Fel first when acknowledging their names, then once he asked for confirmation of his name, Ethan gave him a slight nodding of the head. "Yeah..." He didn't want to snap at him so quickly, and he didn't want to be on his mentor's bad side already. For all he knew, Regan could be their one of their only chances of survival. No wait- he was.
sorry for the short and un-pretty post xD busy busy busy! |

| Regan watched the tributes' reactions, taking in their traits, how they thought through body language. Felicity seemed... well, let's hope the Ethan kid could support her. He seemed well rounded, despite his lack of Shakespearean knowledge. Then Felicity was laughing, like she hadn't been crying a moment before. Odd girl. Regan stayed quiet as she threw the knife, observing her posture, grip, aim. The form made him shake his head, even before the knife hit the wall. "So hope you weren't aiming at me," he retorted, then she was talking about training. "Yes, you'll both need that. I'd help ya now but," He lifted his left arm, the twist in it showing even through his suit, and waved the hand, which was missing its last digit,"as you can see, I'm a bit mangled up." Then, without further ado, he crossed over to the wall, finishing the roll as he went, and pulled out the knife with his right hand. "Besides, they'll be mad at me if I let ya ruin the walls. That is, if they're still mahogany," He slipped the knife into his back pocket, then spun around, clapping his hands together as he did so. "Now then! Let's get to it!" He crossed back to the tributes, a grin creeping back onto his face. "Tell me," He sat down on the back of a chair, facing them, "What makes you special? Other than your lovely tragedy, I know nothing about you. Ever tried to use a weapon before? Up for allies? Favorite color? Okay, maybe the color's not necessary but you get the idea. I want to help you, of course; that's my job! But I need to know about you to do it! Don't hold anything back, I'm all ears." Regan took a deep breath after that; it'd been years since he gave that speech, and gosh darnit, younger people could speak faster. | |

| Felicity stopped laughing and got serious, this was her only chance to win. Felicity listened to the mentor talk and ignored Ethan for a bit, she didn't meant to seem rude but she wanted at least SOME help. "I have used a knive before, I just threw it at the wall when I got mad." She said with a shrug. She heard him say if the walls were made of mahogany and she started to wonder, "What is the big dead with mahogany anyways?". She didn't recognise that she said that aloud and started to think a bit more at his questions. "I am open for allies, I am quite a good hunter. Oh, how could I forget. I am smart too, and talkative if you couldn't tell that already." She said with a smile. She grabbed a blueberry muffin and started to eat it, waiting for more questions or even more advice. | |
