| Feaver Crane was at her house one day, bored as ever. She was curled into a small ball on her huge bed when she got the idea to sneak out. Her family was having a reunion, and she didn't like her family much. They had hidden her through too much. Plus Feaver didn't feel like watching aunt Maggie and aunt Karen having a showdown. She hopped out the window in her room and started walking down to the poorer part of the districts. She was thinking of how unfair it was that people always had to die every year in the hunger games. However, she was pretty grateful that it was never her. Feaver walked onto an unfamiliar street, which got her that much more excited. The girl was wearing pretty much black everything. Hoodie, leggings, converse, everything black that was in her wardrobe. And the girl's wardrobe was in fact quite large.
Feaver had looked around the street for about a minute now, deciding if she'd walk down it or not. The street looked very spooky and such, and the girl wasn't looking for trouble. Feaver Crane knew there were people willing to steal from girls her age. Her feet scrunched up against the crooked street pavement. She smiled at the people who stared at her like she was doing something wrong. Feaver, however, didn't know what all the fuss was about. It was just a normal day for her, walking around the poorest of the area. She felt as if someone was watching her, badly. She took a look back, but nothing was there. She looked back again a few seconds later, nothing.
Maybe Feaver was just imagining things, as she always did when she walked around new places. But the girl felt something in her gut. She looked back, and then forward again. The people suddenly weren't there, nearly vacant. She picked up the pace as she nearly ran down the street now. When she started seeing people again, Feaver calmed down, as she felt safe again. Something still bugged the rich girl, however. Maybe someone was stalking her. Feaver put the hood up on her hoodie. She looked around for teens her age. But they were all too young or too old. Feaver was the middle teens now, which was agitating as she had nobody to have conversation with.
Feaver stopped in her tracks, as people started staring at her again. It looked like the exact same people as before. Maybe the girl was isolated as long as she was, while she started seeing the same faces. Maybe it was now just a custom to see the same people over and over. Why did I have to try a new street? She moaned, starting to walk again. There had been nearly silence the whole way throughout her walk, and it was making her worried. Maybe it was because there were no kids? Usually in the other streets, the kids were loud and cheerful. Maybe that was what was different about this walk. Too many things were different around her walk now.
Feaver felt a breeze rush by her. Now all she could do was continue nearly running down the street. She felt so alone now, and she didn't know why. The girl didn't know what, or who, was making her feel this way. Feaver never felt so vulnerable to people when she took walks. She now wished she had went to see Maggie and Karen fight. The girl quickly peered over her shoulder and saw something. Something when she looked back each other time, there was nothing there. Now there was something there, and she didn't like it. She squealed, and ran a bit ahead, as far as she couldn't see the figure. The figure looked like a boy, which got her even more worried sick about how much she wanted to go home.
Feaver started to panic. She could still see the figure behind her ever so vaguely. Maybe it was her uncles chasing after her. She knew that her uncles were protective over her, just like her parents, but not so much as for them to follow her. "Uhh.. hello?" she yelled out a bit to the figure, hoping it wouldn't answer. If it would have, she would nearly fainted. Her eyes stared at the figure, getting more and more nervous about who it was. And even more, if she knew who it was. Feaver would have probably been fine if it was someone she had seen on the other streets. Maybe its someone I can talk to.. she thought. maybe not.. she disagreed with herself.

| Callum dragged his feet on the ground, hugging an empty basket as he walked down the street. He just delivered a fresh batch of silk to the factory and got their pay for the month, tucked deep into his pocket. He was on his way back home when he thought about buying something for his sister, seeing that he now had his share of income this month. Callum knew that she'd love some candy and so he started making a detour to the market. He stopped for a moment, looking around his surroundings to find his sense of direction again. Even though he's always out to deliver silk, there was only one route he'd take. When he finally (think) that he had found his way, he looked down, hearing someone yell at him from a distant. Callum tilted his head to the side, confused, but made his way forward. It was more apparent that it was a girl the closer he got. It was dumb, because she probably wasn't even talking to him, but no one else was around.
"Are... you talking to me?" The quiet voice with a pang of doubt came out of this skinny boy, pointing to himself. He could finally see the girl clearly; properly groomed, dressed in all black, she looked out of place here. It just made him more confused than before, not really sure what she was doing here, no one from the riches ever come to this street. Well, virtually no one ever come around here unless they had to. But judging by the way she was dressed she was the one that looked way shadier than him. But her face told a whole different story - she looked scared out of her wits. Callum still smiled and lowered his basket, asking with concern, "Do you need any help? Are you lost?"

| Suddenly, a seemingly random baby appeared in the streets and wailed for their attention. "Mamma!" she cooed, waving her chubby baby hands in the hair. She giggled and smiled at them, making silly gurgling sounds. "Geeeee." The baby rolled over and hit her head on Callum's shoe. "Oop!" #sorrynotsorry |

| Feaver looked behind her, seeing a person. At the same time she had looked back, the person spoke. It was definitely somebody she didn't know. "Yes, yes I am." She talked, with a little bit of a smirk on her face. The boy had asked if she was lost. Feaver didn't really know how to respond to the person, but she always did. "I don't think I am.. maybe I am. Yes, I guess." Feaver said, pausing after every word she said. The girl always acted this way to new people. The girl wanted to know if the person was worth befriending.
That's when she heard a.. baby? Yes, that is was she saw. She looked down to the boy's feet, a bit surprised at what she saw. The baby hit his shoe. The girl thought about something. What a bad impression to people, showing them your baby. Wait.. is that his baby? She thought. "Is she.. yours?" Feaver asked with a bit of a scared face. If it was, the girl mine as well just walk away.

| Callum spun around as he heard a giggle and a wail. This is a really confusing day. But Callum smiled as this little baby made her way to them, bumping into his feet. He bent down and rubbed her head to ease the light bruise away. "Hey there, girl. What are you doing here?" Callum asked quietly, giving out all the wrong ideas to the stranger. He picked her up like the delicate creature she was, propping her on one of his arms as he asked again, not really expecting an answer, "Where are your parents?" Callum watched her for a few moments and just chuckled as he booped her nose, not entirely sure what to do with her now, but certainly not leaving her on the streets.
He looked up, knees still on the ground as the girl asked him the most typical question seeing a baby walk up to someone from out of nowhere. "Huh? Her? Oh.. Um. No, not really. Actually I've never seen her around here before," he fumbled, trying to get out of the misconception as he stood up, facing the girl, "I guess I'll bring her around to find her parents later." Callum wondered about people who would leave their kids alone out on the streets, who knows what could hit them out here, and he started to panic just a little; what if he couldn't find her parents? But for now he glanced back to the lost girl, nudging his head to the direction that would lead them out of these streets, "But let's get you outta here for now. Where were you heading to? I can bring you there first." With a baby in one hand, he picked up his empty basket in the other, half expecting to bring her back out to the more bustling side of the districts. Even Callum would lived quite close by to this street, doesn't like the vibe it gives. It's more gloom and doom than the rest of the houses and streets and he's only here because of candy. "I'm Callum by the way," he introduced at the most awkward time, realising he still didn't know her name yet.

| The baby did not struggle when Callum picked her up. She giggled when he booped her little tiny fleshy nose and reached her hands out. She blew out her lips and flailed her arms around, grabbing hold of Callum's nose as an attempt response boop and also maybe because it looked squishy. "Daa-aaaah!" The baby cried happily, peering over Callum's arms and allowing herself to be carried wherever going on without complaint.

| Feaver smiled at the boy as he talked to the baby. Its not like she really understands him, but eh. She thought. "Maybe she was abandoned? Or something?" She thought, looking down to it. Feaver didn't like when people were vulnerable. She knew that people were bad, but not bad enough to abandon an infant. When the boy declined that it was his child, she exhaled. "Well that's good, I think." Feaver said. She nodded when the boy talked about finding her parents. This guy is.. sweetish. She thought. "Nice to meet you Callum. I'm Feaver." She said, waving her hand through her hair. | |

| Callum laughed as the baby grabbed his nose, prying her tiny hands off as they walked, "Got my nose, didn't you?" When he got the baby off his face he turned back to the girl, as she introduced herself as well. Giving the baby a small section of the basket's rim to entertain the baby. "Nice to meet you too, and um.. so.. were you heading anywhere?" Callum repeated his question to Feaver, seeing that she probably didn't hear it the first time. At this moment, all they were going to was towards the central district area with the Clothing Store and all. He wasn't too sure but at least it was somewhere instead of just standing around in that eerie strip of road. "I hope you don't mind me asking..." Callum said slowly before asking something else, concerned about another issue other than their destination, "But what were you doing here anyways? It may be dangerous for people to be alone here." Callum glanced towards the girl, somehow it was him feeling out of place in these roads rather than her, quickly looking away. | |

| The baby decided it was time to continue the adventure and these biggies were taking far too long to move forward. She pursed her lips into a duckface shape, wriggled her way out of Callum's arms up to his shoulders and face, and poked his cheek. Then she dropped herself on the floor, somehow miraculously remaining completely uninjured, and started to crawl away. The baby looked back at them every now and then to make sure they were following her and trudged on, attracting a few confused looks.

| Feaver smiled at the baby as it started to crawl away. The girl looked back up at Callum. "Oh, um nowhere in particular." She said, scuffing her foot. Feaver liked the boy's redish hair, it looked good with his eyes. When the boy talked about asking something, she put on a bit of a frown. The girl felt weird with questions. If it was do you have a boyfriend which the girl had gotten a few times, she would just walk away. But it wasn't. "Oh, I'm just.." Feaver paused. She didn't really know how to respond to the boy's question. "I can handle myself down here in the "dangerous" places in District Eight. I venture down from the hill plenty of times." She said, running her hand through her hair. "What are you doing here?" Feaver asked. | |

| Callum flustered around as the baby pushed out of his grip and onto the floor herself, crawling away as he stood there confused. He ran up to her again, slowly picking her up, "Where do you wanna go? I'll bring you there later okay? Just don't run off like that.." He warned her full of concern, holding onto her tighter this time. Callum turned back to see Feaver and he walked back to her before they continued on out of here. The central was just around the corner and he could finally buy something and get back home to help his grandma with some chores. He tiled his head as he smiled, "Though you looked pretty scared just now. Did something happen?" He perked up when he heard Feaver ask something, almost drifting off in his own mind to think about stuff back home. "Oh! Um. Well, I live around the other end of these streets. I'm just off to the Upper areas to get some snacks for my sister," he stopped there, shrugging with the arms cradling in his arms now, making haste before the baby gets impatient and runs off again. | |

| The baby looked mildly put out at being picked up but tolerated it. She smiled up at Callum with the little amount of teeth she had and puffed out her cheeks. She looked at Feaver and blew out her lips, something that probably meant 'so when an infant walks off into dangerous streets you just smile at it and carry on, then?' in baby-speak, along with some random baby noises. "Pah!" she said happily, and tilted her heavy head to the side. |
