| The District 2 escort steps up on stage and smiles with blindingly white teeth. She starts speaking in a high pitched voice, "Welcome everyone to the Reapings! Today one young man and woman will be chosen to participate in the 34th Annual Hunger Games!" She steps up to the big bowls containing the names of every child in the district, from 12 to 18. Her hands hover above the bowls for a second, as if deciding something. "Now then, Ladies first!" she says, and reaches into the bowl filled with girls names...

I walk towards the Reaping, I am looking around wildly for my beloved Fiance. I get in line, put my hands in my pockets and hope I get reaped.

| =====Ace Trumen=====
Ace sighed as he walked to the reapings. He hadn't seen Skyler all morning...he wondered why. He was dressed in a nice suit, wishing he could wear his worst clothing instead. He got to the reapings and looked around, seeing a couple familiar faces. This would be his last year, he knew. He might volunteer...he might not. He made his way over to the eighteen year old section and put his hands behind his neck.

| I sigh as I walk through the door of my home, with my lavender dress flowing through the cool breeze. I tighten my ponytail as I reach the Justice Building blood line. I wince as the lady sticks in the needle. I shake it off as I walk to the 16 year old girls area. I slowly scratch my right arm. |

| Lynzi walks toward the Justice Building, feeling the same feeling she has had for 7 years. This year, she plans to be in the games. If she is reaped, great. If they need volunteers, Lynzi will be first to volunteer. She has been training her whole life for this moment, and she wants it to happen this year. She ignores everyone, expect Ace. She could see Ace across in the boys section. Lynzi then stands, and smiles. She would be happy either way, but she waits and sees if this is her year. | |

| Lori let a devilish smile spread across her face when she heard her name get called. She tossed her hair back, adjusted the skirt of her meticulously selected reaping outfit, and sauntered forward, making where way to the stage. As she passed the girl from her family's rival company, she smirked, looking her up and down in disgust. "Oh, honey... didn't anyone tell you? You're supposed to try and look nice for the Reapings." Lori sighed and shook her head in mock pity, her hands flying up to her heart. She let them fall as she finished making her way up to the stage, and blew a kiss to the crowd as she stood next to the male tribute. Lori had been waiting for the Games pretty much her whole life, and was ready to kill anything that got in her way if need be. This was her moment to shine, and nobody - nobody - was going to stop her.
