The District 5 escort steps up on stage and smiles with blindingly white teeth. She starts speaking in a high pitched voice, "Welcome everyone to the Reapings! Today one young man and woman will be chosen to participate in the 33rd Annual Hunger Games!" She steps up to the big bowls containing the names of every child in the district, from 12 to 18. Her hands hover above the bowls for a second, as if deciding something. "Now then, Ladies first!" she says, and reaches into the bowl filled with girls names...

Raquel trudged to her designated area once again, yawning out loud after signing in, out of site from any of the Peace Keepers. This is stupid. They had to wake up so early for something like this, and she definitely did not appreciate the morning call. Reaped, not reaped, whatever. Raquel made herself belief that she truly didn't care. She slouched a little while standing in line, hoping for this little Capitol shenanigan to be over to get back to sleep or something. Her mind wandered off to better things worth thinking about, what was it called? Dreaming in the day? Head dreaming? Now she was just getting a headache and decided to listen in on the others around her instead. But most of them were dead quiet, and by the looks of them, they were dead scared too. Raquel wondered if it's a blessing or a curse to not feel anything at all for the Reapings.

She dug her hand into the bowl and pulled out the female tribute's name, "Raquel Ciera" She called out and then she dug into the male's bowl. "Chase Tobias"

Raquel stiffened as she heard her name loud and clear from the mic. It was different between thinking about it and hearing it aloud. She tried to relax as when forced herself up the stage, face failing to hold any false emotions of fear or nervousness. The male that was called wasn't someone she recognise, probably somewhere inside of her, she hoped she knew. It'll be comforting to have someone around, as selfish as it seems. The Reapings dragged on for a little while longer, someone taking over the other's place. And yet another unfamiliar face. She waited during the grace period for visiting, no one visited. Raquel figured that long ago, knowing that no one would even know that she was gone. She wondered if she'll end up just like her sister... No, she'll never end like that. She'd rather die in the most cruel ways than simply because she was too 'nice'. Raquel let out an irritating sigh to the empty air that kept her company, hoping for this torturous period to be over. Others begged for more, she just beg for it to be over. Maybe even the train was more welcoming than her own home, or rather.. house.
