"The Spartan"

Brief History: Illaria Kravchenkov died giving birth to Anton after a painful pregnancy. Her husband, textile merchant Nikolai, was left to raise the boy on his own in District 12. Nikolai was one of the more successful merchants, and was able to provide Anton with a good life. That changed when he was killed during a brawl one day in the town square, on Anton's 15th birthday. His son was not one to try and sit on fortunes amassed by his father, and began dropping out of school to work in the mines. Anton has survived admirably in one of the poorest districts of Panem.

Physical Appearance: Most people look up to Anton Kravchenkov, but that's not because he is a superb role model. It's because he is 6'6", 250 pounds with broad shoulders, a barrel chest and a thick, muscular body. His brown hair is cut rather messily. Anton has a cleft chin dotted with persistent stubble, gray eyes and brutal features. His nose is slightly crooked from being broken in a mugging attempt when he was 17. Anton is not picky with his clothing--he typically wears old shirts, jackets, pants and his miner's outfit with heavy work boots.

Personality: Anton is generally gruff, laconic and cynical. He is a man of few words, and has been hardened into an emotional rock by his father's death. Anton is down-to-earth and grounded, always looking for the most practical and straightforward approach to anything. He does not take nonsense from anyone and is completely unsympathetic. He's tougher than nails, both physically and psychologically, and is one of the few that do not fear the Hunger Games.

Flaw: The death of his father has given Anton the ability to withstand almost any hardship, but at the same time it has desensitized him to the emotions or circumstances of other people. He walks a fine line between toughness and cruelty, and there is a chance that if he were to be chosen for the Hunger Games, he would kill ruthlessly and commit inhuman acts without second thought. His rationale? Life isn't fair, and only the strong survive.

Pets: He couldn't care less about animals.
Rich or Poor: Lower middle class, but the day his father's savings run out is the day he turns poor, thanks to his meager income.
Weapon of Choice: Spears and heavy melee weapons best suit Anton's abilities, but he is not choosy and will make use of anything at hand.
Talents: Thanks to his natural size and a personalized physical fitness regimen, Anton possesses strength and endurance that is just about peak human. He is able to lift several hundred pounds and sustain physical exertion for a remarkable time. If that weren't enough, Anton is also a natural brawler, using instinct, experience and physical capability to make up for lack of formal training. His street smarts have also developed after 3 years of living on his own.
Other: Anton's daily workout routine includes hurling rocks, deadlifting logs and jogging through difficult, uneven terrain.

"The Avenger"
Name: Damon Falco

Brief History: Damon Falco was born an only child to gunsmith Carlin Falco and geologist Rebecca Falco. His parents were both respected in their fields and earned substantial incomes. However, were pressured by their superiors into working increasingly long hours as Damon grew up. Thus, Damon was left to play and wander around in his neighbourhood whenever he was not at school, in the process developing his natural athletic potential. Damon always knew how corrupt and dangerous the Capitol truly was, and he has sworn to do his part to overthrow it. No matter the odds.

Physical Appearance: Damon Falco stands 6'1" and weighs 175 pounds. He is built lanky and athletic, with six-pack abs and ripped pectorals. He has dark brown eyes, relatively pale skin, and his features are somewhat hawkish. Damon dresses casually--his normal outfit consists of jeans, a dark leather jacket and sunglasses.

Personality: Damon is an energetic, idealistic and fiery young man. He has a temper and can be stubborn at times. He is also loyal and will always stand up for his friends and what he believes in. He's also not afraid to voice his opinions--in other words, when he walks into a room, people will notice. Damon has a very strong sense of right and wrong, and he is extremely frustrated by his inability to do something about the authoritarian government of Panem. Said government is also one reason why he has vowed never to marry, because he views relationships to be a major liability. The other reason is that he likes living an independent life and cannot imagine himself going soft on a girl.

Flaw: Damon's prominent ideals and temper combine to fuel a stubborn streak. He never backs down and has difficulty going with the flow when the flow rubs him the wrong way. As a result, Damon is sometimes prone to getting into confrontations, even with Peacekeepers, and when this happens, his temper can take control of his normally rational mind.

Rich or Poor: Upper middle class.
Weapon of Choice: Damon is fascinated with guns, but he does not get a chance to use them. In general, he prefers ranged weapons also including bows and spears, though he is not afraid to get up close.
Talents: Damon is a natural athlete, a track and field star in school. He has a good mix of strength and speed. The days spent roaming his neighbourhood have given him remarkable talent at parkour. Damon is a good marksman and has experience with handling guns from visits to his father's factory. He has some training in hand-to-hand combat--that combined with his athleticism, his reflexes and his sheer tenacity make him formidable even unarmed.
Other: Damon would love to join a military less controlling and corrupt than Panem's.

"The Prodigal Son"
Name: Vincent Greenwood

Family: His parents, one older brother and one younger sister.

Brief History: From the moment he was born, Vincent Balian Hyperion Greenwood had great expectations thrust upon his shoulders. His father, Michel was one of the Gamemakers, and his mother Cassandra a previous winner of the Hunger Games and mentor to Vincent's brother Scorpius. Two years Vincent's senior, Scorpius was the Career Tribute of the family, though he had yet to be chosen in the reaping. Cassandra wanted her second son to follow in those footsteps, but Michel had a soft spot for Vincent, secretly trying to deflect the Hunger Games from him and his younger sister, Cassiopeia. Nevertheless, both receive the same intensive training that Scorpius does, in preparation for each year's reaping.

Physical Appearance: Vincent Greenwood's size and stature are average, 5'11" and 165 pounds. He is built limber and moderately muscular, like a runner. He has bright blond hair in a clean crew cut, fair skin and piercing blue eyes that can break hearts. His features have been described as those of an ice prince, cool, handsome and very popular with girls. Vincent is forced by his parents to dress impeccably in formal suits, but occasionally he likes to wear T-shirts, jeans or shorts.

Personality: Even Vincent's first name, being less exotic than those of his siblings, is a sign of how different he is from the average District 1 resident. Where most of his family and fellow citizens are arrogant, high-strung, lavish and indifferent (or worse) to the plight of poorer people, Vincent is caring, compassionate and practical. He has a heart of gold and is always finding ways to help the needy with his wealth and social status. Despite being born to a Gamemaker and a victor, Vincent is troubled by the Games and the Capitol in general. He is worried for his sister, troubled she will become like his brother or parents. Vincent's generous nature and moral code have stood up surprisingly well considering his family and those that he has to make friends with.

Flaw: Vincent is extremely kind, but he believes wrongly that money and material possessions can solve any problem. Thus, he has some trouble connecting with others on a deeper emotional level or understand that the thought does count. He has a habit of describing his luxurious home and possessions to others, an attempt at small talk than can come across as bragging, and can get overconfident.

Pets: A tamed mockingjay named Jarret.
Rich or Poor: Stinkin' rich.
Weapon of Choice: Above all, Vincent prefers to fight with swords. He likes them for their style and efficiency.
Talents: Vincent's strongest athletic talent is his speed. He is a blazingly fast sprinter and medium-distance runner. Vincent is also nimble, able to dart through mazes of obstacles and balance on precarious things. He has received extensive training in marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat and is an impressive swordsman. On the other hand, stamina is a primary weakness for him.
Other: Vincent loves reading, swimming, skating and talking to his mockingjay. He shares a close bond with his sister, and has discovered a bygone sport called ice hockey.

"The Workhorse"
Name: Eric Cole

District: 10
Family: His parents, one twin brother and two younger sisters.

Brief History: The eldest of four children, it was natural for Eric Cole to be trusted with responsibility, but when twin brother Jake was born without the use of his legs, the pressure doubled. Eric's parents, John and Kayla, were up-and-down farmers, equally prone to great harvests and pest infestations. They needed all the help they could get, and Eric delivered that help. He was frequently the first out of bed as he got older, carrying supplies like a donkey, plowing the fields and generally doing more than requested from him. This gave John and Kayla a little more time to watch over Jake and their daughters, Moya and Jessie (aged 14 and 9 respectively). Thanks in part to Eric's tirelessness on the job, the Cole farm has rebounded and is currently more prosperous than it ever has been.

Physical Appearance: Eric Cole isn't the tallest guy, but he's a big man nevertheless. With 208 pounds of muscle on a 5'10" frame, he is built low, stocky and heavy set like an ideal wrestler or weightlifter. His wide shoulders can carry big loads both literally and metaphorically, and his hands and feet are unusually large for his height. Eric has brown hair and eyes, a deep tan from constantly working the fields and a serious, creased face that makes him seem several years older. He is usually seen in heavy boots, khaki or brown trousers and plaid shirts.

Personality: To Eric, hard work is the most valuable asset anyone can have. He is all about hustle, grit, determination and answering the bell even when it's not his turn to. He gives 110% every time a task is handed to him. He's incredibly responsible, willing to swallow his pride when necessary and hardly ever does anything out of rashness or impulse. Eric is also quite connected to nature and able to enjoy the simpler things in life.

Flaw: Eric can be a complete workaholic. He is constantly pushing his own limits, spending long hours in the fields and at times refusing to acknowledge that he is entitled to a break. Not only does this strain his own health, it gives a sometimes unreasonable standard for him to hold others to. Eric does have a bad habit of calling people lazy, irresponsible or sub-par just because they don't go as hard as he does, and that is very hard.

Pets: All the animals on his farm.
Rich or Poor: Middle class.
Weapon of Choice: Whenever he fights (which is not often thanks to his level head) Eric likes to use his fists to settle things, but acknowledges that axes and clubs suit his attributes the best.
Talents: Eric is strong as an ox, able to lift and bear hundreds of pounds. His impressive power, phenomenal endurance and heavy body type make him an exceptional wrestler, and a very resilient fighter in any situation. Eric's distance running is also outstanding thanks to his stamina, and he has experience surviving in the wilderness.
Other: He requests to be called by his last name, Cole, and introduces himself as such.
