Reaping Day!

I stood in the group, waiting for the reapings. Last year my best friend had been chosen, and he had been killed. I didnt want to be chosen, but if his little brother was, I would volunteer. First the girls, then the boys. I didnt know who she was, but it was my name that was called out. I began to walk up to the front, but I was interupted by someone else. "I volunteer as tribute." a voice called out. I looked around to see who it was, and it was none other than Eric White. I couldnt let him do this, I tried to get to him and stop him, but the guards held me back. I knew things werent going to be good, and I couldnt do anything about it.
