After a few quiet hours of knot tying and learning some new things, Spencer decided to take a break from that and move on to another station. Melee really wasn't something he was interested in and the next closest station was the paints station. He quickly and quietly made his way over and began listening and observing the trainer. He started gobbing on paints and learning a few techniques on how to hide items, finding himself having far more fun with this than taking it seriously.

Cedar had left the ranged weapons station with no particular destination in mind, but when he saw a relatively empty station that looked fun, he couldn't resist. "Painting!" Cedar said with a crooked smile. "Whoo!" He picked up a brush and dabbed it in some red paint, smearing it across his forearm. "Boom. Blood. Crazy skills right there, man." The trainer looks exasperated, but Cedar just winked at him and continued to doodle on himself with paint. He grinned at the other tribute there. "Hi! I'm Cedar. I'm from District 11. We don't paint that much there, more than the occasional house or something, you know? How about you?"

Spencer just looked over as the boy went on about blood and began to doodle on himself, much like Spencer has ended up doing at this point. "Actually a long time ago the native people of this country used to use blood as paint because it has such good staining abilities. Why fake it when you can use the real thing?" Spencer finished his thought and put his head down, knowing just how awkward he probably sounded. He decided to wipe his arm off and try something new. He picked up some of the muds and things they had lying around and began using it on himself to see if he could match the colors of the trees. He kept his eyes on the other boy though who seemed to be enjoying whatever he was doing. "So....uhh houses, huh? That's...cool. I'm sorry....I know a lot on many different things but I don't know much on District 11, they don't really let us learn about the outside districts." He had to hold his tongue as so many thoughts flew through his mind at a mile a minute, everything he had read about houses, construction, agriculture all came into his head as he recalled almost everything he had once learned. No no, we musn't overload ourselves. He quickly thought as he went back to what he was doing.
