| ---District 12---Female---17---Lori had rode down from the top floor of the gigantic tower in a high speed, silver elevator that opened up into a room filled with every survival type station one could imagine. Everything from plants, to medicines, to agility and weapons were sitting in front of her waiting to be used, and as she halfway listened to the opening speech from the head trainer she contemplated on where to go first. Of course her eyes immediately fell on the ranged weapons station, but she knew better than to go there. "Later...or maybe never. It won't matter here. Learn something new." The voice in the back of her head spoke to her. "That was how Gunnar died, probably showed off his talent and now he is no more." She shook her head as she made her decision, knot tying. And with knot tying meant learning different traps. She had learned a basic snare from Gunnar before he died but she was never good at getting it to work. Why not finally learn?
Lori walked over to the station, not even looking back to see if Nicanor or anyone followed her. She remembered before she went down in silence she had said a few quick words to Nicanor, "Follow me if you want...or not. It doesn't matter to me." She tried to be a little nicer, though she was onto his game. The 'Nice Guy' routine he was trying to play wasn't going to fool her. The station seemed to be pretty dead station, which was nice. She wouldn't have to deal with people trying to make alliances or trying to talk to her. She watched as the trainer showed her a few basic knots. Lori took the piece of rope and copied the trainers movements almost exactly, getting the easiest knots done first. But once it came to the more intermediate ones it took Lori a few times to try and finish it. She continued to try and perfect the knots she was hung up on before moving onto the next level and some snares and traps.
