I missed the attack on the one mermaid, but i managed to block the other's attack. I knew if I didnt get out of here soon, I probably wouldnt make it. I swung both swords at the injured mermaid, and then swung around to block the second attacking mermaid. This was going to take a lot out of me, and I just hoped there would be some way to get away from here, with out walking back into the arms of the good for nothing traitors.

Echo pouted slightly as the mermaids said nothing. Instead one of them just grabbed at her legs again. These mermaids weren't as cool as she had first thought. "Can't we compromise? she asked plaintively. She had really wanted to be friends with these creatures. "Is compromise even a word?" she added curiously. Echo wasn't the brightest girl out there.

Echo was rather stupid and that was the whole reason why Becky had never wanted Echo to lead them because she knew there was a high chance that Echo would lead them all to death. As for Axel he only thought of himself in those regards. This games there wasn't much for careers. Becky was using them for pawns on her chess board and she played them out well, now she was sacrificing her two little pawns as she needed to do so to continue on with the game.

Jarvis yawned audibly. Watching these two die was enjoyable, of course, but he'd much prefer to actually be killing them, doing something. Standing here was boring. Jarvis pulled his backpack out and grabbed the medkit, taking out a bandage and putting it away. He turned to Becky and moved to apply it to one of her cuts. "While we've got time, might as well get you patched up, huh?" he says, smirking a bit. He then looked back into his backpack to see if there was even anything in there other than what he had put in.

The mermaids smirk at the tributes. 'There's no compromise. You're either in, or you're out. And we pick in.' They lunge at Echo's legs again, trying to rip them off. The other mermaids don't speak, too focused on killing and eating Axel.

Again, first at Echo, second and third at Axel. Echo's still has full HP, Axel has one full and one at 5HP.

The mermaid mutts were relentless in their attacks, and I didnt know how much longer I would be able to keep fighting them. I jabbed my sword towards the wounded mermaid, and then turned to fend off the second attacking mermaid. I was getting frustrated with my missed attacks and blocks. 'I am a career, I should be doing better than this.' I thought to myself, forcing focus on the mermaids again.

Echo pouted again as the mermaids refused her request. But they did say no compromise, so compromise must be a real word. "Well, I'm sorry to hear that ladies. We could have had fin together." she said sadly. She moved out of the way again and scrambled onto shore. She gave a mock wave to Becky and the other guy. "See ya losers!" she said, sprinting away from the lake. It was time for somewhere else. Who knew what other cool creatures were out there? This Arena definitely looked like it held many amazing things. It was so bright and colorful. ((Escape die was used 2 turns ago))

Jarvis watched as Echo got out of the lake and tried to run away, he intercepted her quickly, blocking her path. "Leaving so soon?" he asked, tilting his head as he stared at her. "You didn't think we'd let you just walk away, did you?" he said, rhetorically. He lunged at her, swiping at her with one knife, and then the other.

OOC: Echo's escape dice was escaping the Mutts and the lake itself, not the Area. You can't run away from both with 1 roll.

The mermaids shriek and howl, grasping at thing air as Echo pulls herself out of the water and faces the other tributes. The one that was attacking her swims back to the rock, flicking out a serpentine tongue for a halfsecond. The other two go for Axel again.

I watched as Echo climbed out of the lake, only to be attacked by the big black guy, Jarvis. I knew I would have to hurry up and get back there to help her out. I blocked the first attacking mermaid with the butt of my sword. Then I stabbed at the second one, aiming straight for her stomach. This was all getting a little annoying, but I could feel that they were getting worn out, and I hoped I would be able to escaped both the mutts and the other tributes on shore.

Echo laughed right in the District 11 boy's face. Who did he think he was? "Actually, yes. You are going to let me go. Don't ever touch me with your filthy District 11 hands. I am from Disteict 1, and I will not let you dirty me. And think twice before you threaten me. Like, at least make sure you even come close to hitting me. I mean come on. You're pathetic. And what do you mean we? You can't seriously be in an alliance with this loser, right Becky? He's a stalker, he followed us here after all. And boy, I would watch out if you are in an alliance with this one. She'll stab you in the back at the first opportunity. She's also rather bossy, and ugly. Not that you're so good looking yourself. So maybe you two should be together! Ugly One and Ugly Two! Point is, don't touch me. I don't want to be infected by you." Then Echo lashed it at Becky with her fan. Hopefully since she had been talking to the guy most of the time Becky wouldn't be expecting the attack. Then Echo glanced around the Lake lazily. Becky watched as Echo got out of the lake and she was now trying to leave. Jarvis wasn't going to let that happen and neither was Becky. Becky came over and she heard Echo talk about random crap she thought was useless and rolled her eyes. "You district one children are very annoying, I really can't stress that enough." Becky said and she smirked at Echo, "You know I don't really back stab, I play the game and you darling aren't bright enough to understand the mechanics of the games. Also you call me ugly, here's another thing to you, you're actually very unattractive yourself, you haven't checked a mirror lately have you?" She asked. Becky then lunged at Echo trying to hit her. Becky then quickly tried to block Echo's attack from hitting Jarvis.

One of the mermaids dies, and the other is slightly weakened, it seems, by the death of its brethren Axel sees multiple other mermaids lined up behind it. If he doesn't get out soon, the sheer quantity of mermaids will overpower him. Luckily, he reaches the edge of the lake and crawls out, beaten and waterlogged. The other tributes begin to realize that the ground it shaking and a large crack is beginning to form.

Sorry about earlier. Axel has escaped the mermaids.

Echo laughed laughed her signature wind chime laugh again as they tried to insult her. "Sorry to break it to you Becky, but we're the same age. I can't be a child unless you're one as well. And you two should honestl just stop tying to insult me, you're embarrassing yourselves. You realise I'm right so now you're clutching at straws, calling me stupid. And as for ugly. Well, I won't even comment on that filthy lie. At least I don't break mirrors when I walk past them. And those mermaids are not mutts. They're very nice. Not that you two would understand. You can't even here their voices can you? Not worthy I suppose." Echo leaped out of the way of the boys attack, but was injured by Becky. That didn't matter, she had a first aid kit. Echo sprinted away from the two tributes, using the cracking earth to her advantage. They should worry about that, rather than her. But where would she go now? Exploring Arena time.

She said rolling her eyes. "You also know that by arguing with me and fighting every word I say, you're acting like a child, age has nothing to do with it, it's all on how you act." Becky said and then didn't waste any more breath as she took her last lunge at the girl before she sprinted off. "I'm going after her." Becky said and then began to chase the girl.

Jarvis said nothing, deciding his regular approach to things would be better now, instead of making an effort to say things. He slashed at the retreating Echo at the same time Becky did, and as Becky chased off after her, he nodded. Looking back at Axel flailing through the water, Jarvis smirked and turned away from the lake, silently chasing after Becky, if he could stick with her, he'd get to Echo, no doubt.

I finally managed to kill one of the mermaid mutts, and that seemed to do the trick. The other mermaid stopped attacking just long enough for me to swim out of reach and back to the shore. I climbed out of the water, and didnt waste any time attacking the other tributes. I charged at Becky, swinging my sword hard, hoping to do some serious damage. I saw that Echo managed to get away, I was hoping she would wait for me and help me out to get revenge.

I put my swords away, and then tend to my wounds. I wrapped them in cloth i ripped from my hoodie, and tied it tight around the wounds. I then grab all my stuff, put it in my pack and decide to head in the same direction as Echo. We needed to come up with a new game plan since our alliance sorta had fallen apart.
