Skye manages to catch a Cod, five inches long and fairly fatty.

I yawned once more. "All right thanks." I alid down and fell asleep in seconds. And so ended my first day in the arena.

Rhea continued to patch up Chaos. His injuries were more extensive than she originally thought but he was going to be fine in the end and that was all that mattered.

Heppa Duskdale

Heppa watched Snow fall asleep almost right away. She hugged her knees to her chin and looked up at Skye. He had just caught a small fish. It was a small cod. "Anyone have a box of matches? We should cook it." Hepa said not too loudly, she didn't want to wake Snow. Heppa yawned for a moment. She couldn't help it. She was tired.

As soon as the rod was tugged, Skye pulled out the line without much struggle and inspected the fish. "Looks like we got a cod tonight," he announced and looked at it. It wasn't very big, but it was a good catch. It was getting late and fishing would be difficult so he pulled out Hythe rod and brought the fish towards the pack and inspected it under light again. Most cods were good for consumption since the only cases of food poisoning from cods were spoilt ones. Though this was the Games, would anything be normal and not suspicious around here?

Chaos smiled as everyone started to do there things. The pack was working like a a great team, that would be assure to win. It was great. Chaos frowned slightly as when Rhea tried to heal him, it did not help him that much. He frowned and used the first aid kid that snow gave him to try and patch himself up. "Thanks for the apple," He grinned at Heppa and put it beside him after taking a huge bite. "Thanks for trying," He smiled slightly at Rhea and started to patch himself up.

"Oh here I have some matches," Chaos pointed out to Heppa as she asked for some. "So tomorrow I suggest finding another lonely tribute and killing them." He licked his lips. "And so what is the sleeping arrangement?" He asked in a joke kind of voice.

Snow shifted in her sleep. She muttered something in a distorted voice. A smile formed on her face. She seemed to be having a good dream.

I woke up when I felt like I had to go. "Hey I have to go." Hey why's it so dark? Her eyes widened. Something wasn't right. It was a a full moon tonight. She looked up. The moon was covered with clouds, something told me this was a trick of the Gamemakers.

Heppa thanked Chaos and took the matches. She found some dry sticks and some dried up leaves. She put them all in a big pile. Rhea, you should go look for some logs." Heppa said, not even bothering to smile at her. Heppa took out a match and set fire to it. Then she set her pile on fire. Immediately, it was much easier to see. "Anybody know how to cook a fish? Oh, I know!" Heppa said. She grabbed some sticks and stuck two in the ground. One on the right side of the fire and one on the left. Then she took the fish and stuck a stick through it. She then set it on the sticks so that it would slowly cook. "That should work for now." She said to no one in particular. Heppa scowled at Snow. She pointed to some bushes behind her. "Bathroom's right over there." She said rather coldly.

He stumbled for a few moments and cursed before he thew a log into the fire. Soon it was a blaze. A warm flame that warmed everyone around.

"So how we sleep, pile blankets beside eachother and make sure you have your weapon with you. You don't know what will happen," He saw his blanket and lay down on it, being warmed up by the flames. He was being healed slowly. He grinned to himself and started to let his eyes flutter. "Just make sure we can have some of that fish first," He said quietly and took a bite out of his apple.[/color]

Rhea decided it would be best not to anger her allies, so she did as Heppa instructed her. She went to look for some logs to put on the fire as the rest stayed behind to eat and rest. She walkd through the darkness, hardly able to see a thing, hopefully she would find somthing soon.

Skye still felt a little uneasy with that fish. He rarely encountered bad fish but.. He tried to remember anything the older fishermen had told him about bad fish and something came up as soon as he saw Heppa put the fish on the fire. "Gimme a moment," he quickly took as he recalled that there was this poison in fish that was incurable. The older fishermen used to put the fish towards their lips to test if it was poisoned. He did the same, hoping that nothing was wrong with it. He looked like an idiot doing so, but he didn't want to die so soon. If his lips became numb or tingles, that fish should go. He hopes it doesn't.

Rhea manages to find three decent sized logs, they are a bit damp, but will still burn. Skye discovered the fish to be fine.

Heppa could feel a slight breeze. She noticed Skye kissing the fish. She laughed. She turned the fish again. It should be done. She took it off the stick and started tearing it into pieces. Pretty soon the fish was in 5 pieces, 2 of which were slightly larger. Heppa gave the two larger pieces to Snow and Chaos, the other 2 she gave to Rhea and Skye. The last piece was Heppa's. She took a bite. It wasn't bad. In fact, it was pretty good. Heppa took a short sip from her water bottle. "Tomorrow we look for other tributes." Heppa said, grinning.

Chaos took the piece eagerly and started to take big bites out of it. He zipped open his backpack and took out his waterbottle and took short sips from it. He nodded when Heppa said hunting tributes, as he gulped down one piece he started to speak. "Yes.... I saw an alliance, well they seemed to form in the training center. They have about three people with them? So we will have to deal with them shortly. And they will most likely tag up and choose one to kill. So who ever is getting hit, protect them and kill as fast as you can."

Skye grinned when Heppa laughed at him before the fish was split and cooked. Skye ate abit of the fish he had and put it aside. He'll eat them later when he was more hungry. Skye nodded as the pack strategized for tomorrow. He laid down on the ground close by the fire since he didn't have anything but felt relieved that he survived the first day. But there were many more to come which would definitely be harsher than day one. He then remembered that he had a bag that Megan gave him and he decided to open to see what's inside. He smiled, thankful that Megan had helped him so much.

Rhea brought the three logs over to the group and set then down. They could add them when the fire died down more, no need to waste the logs right now. She took the fish that Heppa handed her and smiled, "thanks." She took a bite of the fish, it was good. She never really had fish back home, so this was something new. She sat down next to Skye, "There is an alliance, it is the girl from 12, the boy from 10, he boy from 3 and then the boy from 7. At least that is what they told me." Rhea looked up from her fish, waiting to hear what their plan was.

Skye's backpack is revealed to contain two small cans of raw beef, enough for a single meal between the pack.

Heppa shook her head at Rhea and Chaos. "No. We should go after individual tributes first. Remember that girl from the Cornucopia? I think she was from District 8 or something. I bet she's off somewhere trying to hide. Let's go after her first." Heppa said. Then she leaned over to Chaos and lightly kissed him on the forehead. "Promise me you won't get hurt again. I can't stand to see you like this." She whispered only loud enough for Chaos to hear. Heppa lingered for a moment, her stomach doing somersaults, and then she sat back on the ground. She looked up at the night sky. "I think I saw the girl heading towards a bunch of rocks or caves or something. We should look there." She said.

Rhea nodded towards Heppa and Chaos. "Heppa is right. We need to go after individual tributes first. We should try to get the girl from district 10 first. She is weak and with our pack being the size it is we would have no problem finishing her off." She continued to eat what was left of her fish, then sat looking towards the sky. The announcement would be up soon, and she wasn't tired so she would be up for a little while longer.

Skye looked at the food he had in the bag and closed it back. It would be good food next time soon. Maybe he'll cook them first before keeping them again. Raw meat would definitely not be something nice to keep too long. Skye stretched his hands and got up, mumbling, "Unless more mutts come again." See that it happened once, anything could happen. Though she would be the easiest lone target and the rope she had would be of good use.

"Well whatever tribute we find first," He shrugged and ate the last bit of fish and took another sip of his water. He felt refreshed and full, ready for the day. "But there is one thing, we have to stick together." He said as he lay down," I think we should go to bed, I have extra blanket so if anyone needs more blanket. Just lay close to me."
