Ebony sighed as she walked around the Hob. She spotted a shady tree in the distance and walked over to it. She looked up and sat down under it, for a while she wanted the people go about their daily business before she got bored and pulled out a book out of her small bag.
She flicked through the pages and read it slowly, she had nothing to do and it was a pretty warm day, she fiddled with the grass absentmindedly as she read, running it through her pale fingers.
She heard a bird and looked up to see what it was, it flew past her head and up into a tree near her. She sighed.
'I wish I could be free like you are, able to fly high in the sky and escape all of this, just fly as far as you can' She thought as she looked up at the bird before she slowly looked back down to the book. She longed to be free, she longed to get out of the district and just explore.
Ebony continued to read her book before it started to rain. She sighed but didn't go back home. She didn't want to face her father. She simply got up, putting her book in her bag and then climbed up the tree into the dense foliage so that it would protect her from the rain.
