The fight of men

I was already having a bad day and then a punk came up and totally made me lose my temper.

Cai was wandering around the district when he passed Luke. He didn't think much of the older boy until he caught a whiff of his smell. Wrinkling up his nose, Cai muttered under his breath, " Ever heard of a shower?"

"What did you say short stuff, got a problem with my hygen"?
I questioned with my temper rising out of my grasp.

Cai shrugged, trying to seem innocent. "Take it easy, I didn't say anything," he said casually. Although he looked relaxed, Cai was actually tensed up, ready for anything the other boy might do.

" You dont fool, you and your kind of boys always thinking you own the streets well i have an objection to that BS" i say in my darkest voice and by my temper my muscels were flexed to the max making me look monstrous.

Cai decided that it would be best to get out of there before he got into a physical fight. He didn't say anything to the boy, he just started walking away, very slowly so that it wasn't obvious he was trying to escape.

I could tell the boy was trying to escape slowly but too noticiable to my eyes. " Why are you leaving so soon little baby are you afraid ill take your candy?" i persue.

Cai rolled his eyes and lifted his hands in a non-threatening gesture. "look man, I don't want a fight. You don't want any peacekeepers showing up, do you?"

Josh walked in and pushed Luke away. Cai and josh have talked occasionaly during lunch at school and he knew Luke very well "luke, buddy. Your rage can't come out this easily. You just need to slim it and leave Cai alone." Josh stated as he looked back at Cai and nodded. "Sorry about him Cai"

Cai let out a breathe of relief when josh showed up. "Thanks," Cai said, trying to express his gratitude for the boy stepping in.

" Next time if you insult me i will tear you apart limb from limb got it?" I say making sure i make my point to cia i pushed him away as i walked past. I might have pushed too hard he lost his balance and fell hard on his butt.

Cai caught himself before he hit the ground. Standing back up, he watched Luke walk away. Thank God that's over, he thought.

After the incedent luke walked towards the pond. His favorite spot to sit and think. He has always cherished the sight of the sun hitting the ponds water in the cold morning.
