Hiding from the public

Key was hiding. Hiding from everyone. He wasn't in the mood to see his father, he had just gotten a promotion and his father and mother were celebrating with wine. They were horribly drunk, and Key's parent's weren't very much fun to be around while sober.
So, Key was a little way away from his home, in a part of town where his nanny wouldn't find him.
I can here her calling me now. Heh, she'll never find me. I'm not going back home while father and mother are sober.
Key heard some commotion going on on the street. He sighed, knowing that the peace keepers would be here soon enough. He had better stop the commotion before it got out of hand.
"Hey," He started, walking out of the dark ally.

Joshua was relaxing on his third floor balcony. He saw an argument brew up. He didn't know who it was between, he just likes watching human nature. He then saw as another boy seemingly materialized out of the ally. He leaned on the edge because things were becoming interesting

"Hey, you two had better quit it before I call my father. You either work for him, or your father does. We wouldn't want your lives to be any more miserable than they already are, now do we...?"
Key had used this method many times on his nanny's to get what he wanted. No one wanted to be more miserable.
Key coughed, his asthma slightly acting up. He leaned back on a wall, and smiled.

Josh ran through his mind all famous men in district 3 that had children. A son to.be more specific

Key rolled his eyes.
"Good, now I can actually see you." Then, he had to think for a moment about what the boy said.
Did...did this-this kid just read my mind...? What his he, some muttation from the capitol gone wrong? Because if they're experimenting on humans, I want to help. He thought.
"Say, who said anything about bragging? Because I most certanly didn't." Key said with a smile. He was going to get an anwser out of this kid, whether it took him all day. Key didn't have anything better to do

"Why don't you try being a little nicer" josh shouted with satisfaction

Key looked up to the person yelling at him.
Who does this kid think he is, telling me what to do? No one tells me what to do. Not even Mother or Father. Not my nanny, no one.
Key turned around, and looked back up so he could get a better view of the man.
"Hey, who do you think you are? I don't have to listen to you."

"i know you dont have to listen to me, but for the sake of you having any real friends and also for the sanity of people around you, i would advise you to listen. and oh, i am joshua faraday one of the greatest problem solvers in district three, just to answer your first question" josh wasnt even lying about this. his brain over development gives him increased problem solving abilities.

Key rolled his eyes. Great, a bragger. He thought.
"For your information, I don't need any friends. Why should you have friends when they'd just stab you in the back? No, you really can't trust anyone. Especially me." Key said to him, tired of the fact that people thought they were better then him.

"Look, if your so 'smart' why don't you come down here? What, to afraid that the peacekeepers are gonna get you?" He laughed.

I quickly climbed down the stairs "what was that about being scared, and by the way, I wasn't bragging. I was simply answering a question" josh said with a smile

Key looked at him intently.
"Mhm...tell me, where did you learn this at...? District three's library is full of books about electronics and how they work. But, no books on human nature. That, and I'm fairly sure no one here is an expert." Key smiles, knowing the boy had played into his trap.
"So, where did you learn it...?"

"you dont need books to study, studying gives us knowledge. and knowledge doesnt have to come from literature. i study human nature, by watching human nature. i learn to improvise" josh stated

"Well, there isn't much to study when you hardly ever leave home. My mother and father are.... strange..." Key said, not wanting to offend his parents.
"Anyway, I should go out to the market or something. My parents will be wondering where I am, and why I left the house. Probably best to come back with some milk or eggs or something."
