District 4 Train

I grin, "Put the knife back on the table before I have to drag her off your bleeding body, alright?" I ask, smirking at Esther. "Now, who will you attack next Darling? Me or Hunterkins over there?"

I sigh, "Alright, seriously, who cut her tongue?" I ask. I look at Hunter with mock accusation, "She talks too little as is, why'd you do this to her now?"

I chuckle at Hunter, "You make a terrible case for yourself". I turn to Esther, "I think that's lemonade".

I look at the clock on the wall, "Just a bit past 11 at night" I say, thinking about how long we'd been on the train so far. "We should be in the Capitol by Morning"

I listened to the kids go down to their carts, and heard Hunter. I grinned, knowing the Gamemakers were watching, "This is going to be a fun year" I say to myself, with an indoor voice, calm and collected. I then grab a bottle of rum and start drinking, preparing for an old Nemesis in the Capitol, waiting to make these two pretty.

When I got to my bedroom I sat on my bed and looked at the anklet my best friend had given me. "Hunter Smith. The feared spear." I put it down and thought of our stylist. "Chub....Hmm..." I went to bed then.

I wake up again at about 3 am. I walk over to my door and it seems that somebody had unlocked it. I step out of my room and walk into the dining hall. The windows reveal the outside darkness of the very early morning. I grab a pastry and eat it. It's not too bad. Then I see a box filled with tapes from past Hunger Games. I put in the one from the year that Ben won. It was interesting. It wasn't too many years ago, yet he seemed so different.

I find my way through the train to where the noises were coming from. It was Hunter, watching a games. I couldn't see what was on the screen, because of an eye problem, but I could guess which year it was. I walk in quietly and observe, waiting for him to notice me.

I shrug and take the seat beside him and settle in. My games were tolerable now. "I was very confident" I say, watching my younger self.

I chuckle, thinking back on what went through my head after that announcement. "Yeah, I went there" I say, "I also won there".

I smile. "Yeah, it was a nice feast" I say sarcastically. I watch myself entering the clearing where the cornucopia was, there was a big body of salt water nearby.

I looked at the girl on the screen, "She was a pain in my butt" I say, making it sound easier than it had been back then. I look at our weapons, me, with a mace. Her, with a spear.
