| Jameson Pindale | Jameson was having one of his few days off and was ecstatic. His shirt wasn't sweaty today and his muscles weren't aching yet. That would be tomorrow, but for today he was planning on visiting the upper district and getting groceries. Maybe he could make supper for Greta. They had moved in together not that long ago, and he was overjoyed. Everyday was a miracle with her in it. While he walked, he made a mental list of all the things he needed to grab to make a decent meal. In all honesty, Jameson was a horrible cook, but maybe with Greta's help he would be less of a potential fire hazard. He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice he was about to ram into someone. "Oh, gosh, sorry miss, I wasn't watching where I was going." He smiled weakly, hoping the figure would forgive him. | |

| Pepper hadn't been out of the house in forever. She missed seeing her friends. Greta was around now and then, but she wasn't available as often as she used to be and the group dynamic usually didn't work as well without her. Pepper loved Kalvin like a brother and she didn't know what she'd do without him, but his quiet personality and Pepper's friendly personality needed their exuberant personality to function. Pepper was social, but she needed another social person to bounce off of. Kalvin and Pepper without Greta were like peanut butter and jelly without bread: they were great, but needed something to hold them together and add the final flavor towards optimal goodness wtf did i just write. Pepper's contemplation distracted her as she finally closed the door to her house to get some fresh air, so she hardly noticed when a person flew out in front of her and she crashed directly into them. "Sorry!" she burst out automatically, and took a step back. "Don't worry, totally my fault. Hope I didn't break your nose or anything." She glanced at her victim and her eyes grew wide. "Wait, you're Greta's, boyfriend, right?"(Sorry this took so long, I had more HW than I realized!) |

| Jameson Pindale | The air wasn't warm by a long shot, but it wasn't necessarily cold either. It was a kind of in between temperature that Jameson appreciated. He felt like mother nature was telling him that she had middle ground, and wasn't just harsh or hellish. Things had happy mediums. The road he was walking on, however, didn't seem to have a happy medium. It had a fair share of potholes and ruts, covered in ice and snow. But it wasn't cold.
When he originally ran into the innocent girl, he was afraid she would hit the icy road and get hurt. "Yeah - it was my fault too," James added again. "Sorry," he burst once more, smiling sheepishly as he studied the girl's face. She seemed familiar. Casually grasping his nose, he laughed, "Nah, my nose is fine - pristine - actually." When the girl asked if he was Greta's boyfriend, his grin grew. He liked that title. "Yep, that's me."
Taking another glance at the girl, a gear began to turn in his mind. "Oh - you must be Peppermint, right? Greta talks about you a lot."

| Pepper nodded. "Yeah! Pepper, really. You're..." she narrowed her eyes, trying to recall the times when Greta was telling her about her love life. "Jaaames...? Right? James?" Pepper was pleased to hear that Greta had mentioned her. She always had suspicions in the back of her mind that even her closest friends secretly disliked her. Wait, was she saying good things? Pepper tried to quiet her stupid fears. She's Greta, there's no way she was randomly insulting you to her boyfriend. Chill. Besides, she's your best friend. Speaking of... "Actually, that reminds me, I have a duty as her friend to ask some slightly annoying questions. I'm not very intimidating, so just, like, pretend I'm 6 feet tall and muscley with sharp teeth." Peppermint cleared her throat. "This may be a bit late, but what exactly are your intentions with Ms. Gregorvitch?" She crossed her arms and lifted her chin, forcing her smile into a straight face. #probablyspelledthatwrongoops |

| Jameson Pindale | Jameson raised both eyebrows and nodded. "Pepper, yeah." At the mention of his name, his smile grew and he laughed. He could see why Greta was friends with the girl, they seemed to share similar speech patterns. "Mhm, Jameson actually but take your pick," he responded with an indifferent shrug. He had all sorts of nicknames and responded to most anything. As Pepper began speaking, his smile was reduced to a half-satisfied smirk. He nodded and listened. "Okay, you look terrifying, then," James commented, chuckling. Her comment was, as she stated, a little late. They had been dating for the last two years, at least. Honestly, Jameson hadn't counted. He figured his intentions were clear. "Well - uh." He rubbed the back of his neck. "She's great - you knew that - and I want to be able to make her remember that, everyday. And maybe marry her too, but don't tell her that, I think she already knows." | |

| Pepper's face lit up. She forgot her intention to intimidate in her excitement. "You're going to propose! Oh my gosh!" Pepper grinned and covered her mouth with her hands. She couldn't believe Greta was going to get married. Pepper briefly recalled that she was supposed to be questioning Jameson, but she figured if he was planning on asking Greta to marry him then her responsibility to keep an eye on the girl was pretty much taken care of. "But you didn't ask her yet, yeah? Where are you planning it? Or, how, if that makes more sense... I don't know, I'm so happy, like, I don't even know how to process this, but oh my gawd!" Pepper had to restrain herself from jumping up and down. "You guys make the cutest couple. Oh, she's going to be so happy!" Her eyes went wide. "Does Kalvin know? I should tell Kalvin. Can I- am I allowed to tell Kalvin? He'll find out eventually, maybe it's better to just wait unitil you actually do it. Hey, wait, do you know Kalvin? He's great." |

| Jameson Pindale | Jameson had been thinking about the future a lot lately, and every version he dreamed up had Greta in it. Therefore, the only logical thought he had was to marry her. Maybe not right away, but at least make her his fiance. The choice was easy, but asking? Less easy. But the grin that lit up Pepper's face made the task seem less daunting. "Yeah." He smiled. "I'm planning on it." Watching the joy spread over the curves of her smile solidified his plan. He was going to ask Greta to marry him. James just wasn't sure how. They shared so many secrets, jokes and experiences over the years that he couldn't just pick one to implement in his proposal. "I haven't really figured out how I'm going to ask, either," he admitted, rubbing his face.
"Kalvin?" he repeated questioningly. "I don't think I've formally met him, but I've heard of him." Jameson crossed his arms, balancing his weight on his heels and rocking the distribution back and forth. "Do you know what she'd like? I mean, I know her, but... I'm nervous."

| Pepper let her head fall towards one side a bit as she pondered the question. "I'm pretty sure Greta would be happy with almost anything. I mean, you know, she's Greta. Make her laugh, which is, like, super easy, I guess. You probably know better than I do. Just.. maybe take her some place with meaning, so the cute little speech, pop the question? Throw in a joke? The convincing her to say yes part isn't what happens in those minutes, it's the whole relationship, and from what I've heard, that went well, soo..." She nodded, going back over what she'd said to make sure it was coherent. It sounded all right to her. She wasn't the most experienced with the situation at hand, but she did know the people involved pretty well. Pepper's smile somehow found a way to widen further. "Yeah, Kalvin's great. You'd like him. I mean, from what I've learned in the past five seconds." Â |

| Jameson Pindale | Jameson listened as Pepper spoke, silently agreeing with her. He did know Greta very well, from her favorite food to how she liked her eggs done (even though he was an awful cook, he could try). Maybe it was just the situation, the idea of inviting her into his life fully. It was slightly terrifying (the idea, not Greta). "You're right, yeah," he responded, shoving his hands into his pockets. A grin lit up his face seconds later. "She talks about us?" James asked, his grin widening. He talked about them a lot, whether it was with his friends or his sister. He was proud of their relationship. "I'm sure I'd like him too." | |

| Pepper nodded. "Of course she talks about you! She always talks about stuff that makes her happy." Even when Greta hadn't said anything, Pepper could usually tell when she'd just come back from spending time with Jameson. Somehow the already superhumanly happy girl was happier with him, and that made Pepper happy. "It's been a while and we're her best friends. Did you think she never talked about her relationships?" Pepper teased. "Probably! Kalvin's like... the opposite of Greta, almost, except just as nice. He doesn't talk much, but we love him with or without words. It's usually without." | Jameson Pindale | Jameson's grin persisted as Pepper continued to speak. He loved talking about her too; his sister Valley used to tease him for the endless topic that was Greta Gregovich. His heart always got pounding at the mere thought of her face, or her laugh. Anything related to her, really. "I don't know," he admitted, in response to her rhetorical question. "I guess I don't think about it like that, sometimes I forget everyone knows about us." It was true, though. James didn't like thinking in the past or the future, he preferred the present and its endless possibilities. He laughed as Pepper explained their quieter friend, Kalvin. "Yeah, he sounds great. Well, it was nice meeting you, I'm sure I'll see you around," Jameson replied, giving her a wave before heading off to head towards the markets. | |
