The boy jumped in and blocked his attack on the girl. He cursed him for this, "Fool." He shouted. Lorcan aimed his next attack towards the boy, he swung hard towards his chest. The girl charged forward with weapon in hand. Lorcan tried his best to parry her attack, before she attacked him.

Leon strafed right to dodge the boy's attack and then swung his rubber chicken at him again, hoping to finally land a hit. He looked over at Auralee who looked like she was gonna land a hit, but it was unfortunately blocked. He sighed and looked into the eyes of the boy who called him a fool, laughing. "I may be a fool, but I don't think it's for helping a friend. His smile grew once more, and he began to swing his chicken, growing restless.

Auralee felt the song begin to slowly fade out of her mind, and this sent her into a bit of a panic. He has to go. Now, she ordered herself, gripping her little knife so tightly that she could see her gritty knuckles start to turn white. Aurie noticed she'd let her posture slump and gradually straightened up as she took a deep breath, for breathing was important and she needed to focus. This fight would be slow just by its nature, she knew, since the drive to kill was not strong in at least two of the three people here and the weapon situation wasn't optimal, but she had to try to finish it before she realized what she was doing. Just take the knife and put it in the blob over there. That's all you have to do. Worry about what that means when the blob turns into a more reddish blob on the floor. Auralee tensed her muscles up and then lunged forward as she released them, hurling the hand with the knife towards the boy in hopes of attack, or rather, in hopes that soon she would stop having to do this.

Lorcan knew he was in trouble with this. If he left now, he wouldnt be able to defend himself, but if he stayed one of them would kill him eventually. Leon's grip on the neck of his rubber chicken tightened when he saw that his attack was blocked. However, Auralee managed to get a hit off and when she did, the other boy went for a counter attack. Leon immediately went to knock him off course once more, whacking at him with the chicken, and he shook his head. "Now...apparently it isn't getting through to you that you'll need to kill me before laying a finger on her. And then of course you'll need to get through her defense." Leon laughed, twirling his chicken and slamming it into the palm of his hand every once in a while. This boy was taking a long time to kill, too long. Although, it did give him a longer amount of time to fight alongside a friend rather than against her. He knew that time would have to come, but he didn't like thinking about the future like that. It was better to live in the present...after all, it's better to cross a bridge only when you get to it, right?

Auralee's song faded from her head, but to her surprise, it was replaced with a sort of ringing, buzzing, white-noise sensation. She wondered if that was what the ocean sounded like. It was rather unnerving, but she preferred the hum to whatever was happening in the real world. Though who was to say what was really the real world? She'd gotten into a rhythm now, just ducking and swinging and avoiding any incoming projectiles. Some of them were directed elsewhere, and some of them were interrupted in their path to her, and Aurie didn't really know what any of the somethings were, but she knew she wanted to get rid of the things that kept trying to hit towards her. She caught one flying away out of the corner of her eye and reached out, attempting to deflect it with her knife. She could see the people there, and some part of her mind must have known what was happening, because she could feel it like a tickle in the core of her skull, but consciously, it was all rapidly becoming a blur. She felt pain, but mostly she just felt kind of numb, and that scared her, but she had bigger problems. She jabbed forward, aiming for whatever kept moving forward, the thing she had to stop. She didn't want to think about why, because that was the part she'd hidden away for the moment, the part she wished wasn't happening. Her face felt damp, but she didn't know if it was from sweat, blood, or tears. She wasn't seeing or feeling clearly anyway, so she couldn't really tell if her vision was blurry from crying or if she'd gotten some sort of cut on her face, or something else. She tried to stop thinking so much and just get back into the rhythm, which was comfortable, because it separated her from that tickle, that inkling of what was apparently reality. Auralee thought she might feel guilty later for trying to ignore it all instead of focusing on the sin and apologizing and accepting, but this was easier, and right now, she needed easy to get it done. That was what she wanted, anyway. The selfish, primal, survivalist, fight-or-flight reflex part of her, at least, that had advanced in the hierarchy of her mind now, wanted this to be over, so she could stop.

Lorcan could feel his senses beginning to fail him, the hits were starting to wear him down. He tried his best to block the attack that the boy was delivering. He heard them talking, but he couldnt comprehend anything that was being said. Lorcan tried to make another hit, again to the girl. Surely one of the attacks would land a hit, he thought to himself.

Leon had noticed the boy was fairly weaker now, but still wasn't gonna go down easy. He felt his attack get blocked before it could hit its mark and saw the boy send another attack for his ally. He went for another shove to get him off of his course and away from Auralee before whacking at him with the rubber chicken. "Come on now. I don't have to tell you to stop attacking her a third time, do I?" Leon chuckled and backed up slightly, waiting for another attack from the boy.

The world was more fuzz than shapes now. Auralee felt a rush of something like aggression or adrenaline resonating in her bones and swinging her arm forward to hit the other shape. Through the haze in her mind, she managed to hope that it was the latter, but this was all a dream, now, so it didn't really matter. She was sure of that now. The idea that this situation was actually happening to her was absurd. She was a poor girl from District 6. She went to school, when home, took care of her family, slept, woke up, and repeated the process. That was all. The repetition, repetition, repetition, and it was comfortable. That was reality. This was nothing. This was a blur in the corner of her eye, and sometimes it pricked her, but it was still nothing. She felt a presence fly towards her and threw herself back to avoid it. It seemed pinchy, which she didn't like. There was far too much attention on her in this dreamm painful attention that she found herself extremely opposed to. Externally, Auralee's eyes were glazed over, and she was silent other than uttering the occasional word under her breath.

Lorcan tried his best to keep his attention focused. The boy missed the attack and the block, and Lorcan was beginning to have hope. He attempted to block the attack from Auralee, and swung his weapon towards her again, going for a strong hit.

The fight was starting to take its toll on Leon, and he knew it. His attacks were flying in uncontrollable directions and he couldn't even knock the other boy's attack off course. Leon ground his teeth together and swung his chicken at the boy, hoping for at least a solid looking hit. This fight was getting boring for him, which means if it was boring for him then the Capitol was probably getting bored. And hell, Capitol boredom has a notorious reputation for causing the deaths, or at least maiming, of more tributes. And Leon wasn't going to die by something he couldn't control.
