Mac had finished the majority of his training for the day, or at least he was done for the afternoon. The fact was, he didn't really even get anything done. Learning the basics of a large knife and climbing up a ladder, that was all he learned how to do. The tribute readied to see what kinds of foods the Capitol had. Mac was used to having his fair share of fruit, but there wasn't much else to eat in Eleven. Sometimes, Mac didn't even eat, sometimes not even for a whole week. He walked into the buffet table (or what it looked to be idk) and looked at all the different foods there were to eat.
At first, the teenager saw all the fresh greens and fruits and veggies, but as he got farther down the line, he saw breads, rolls, meats, and some kinds of pastas. He stared at the foods, which were probably high in carbs and protein, and could maybe mean the difference between life and death. Mac made a thin slice of ham, and some of the noodles that were steaming hot. It was a good thing for the spoons there, or whatever they were. Lastly, the tribute made himself a little side-salad on the corner of his plate before sitting down in the very corner. There were other people in tables together talking up a storm. They could all probably kill me in a million different ways, and wouldn't hesitate.. He stared at his District partner was she put her finger horizontal and stroked her neck. Whatever that meant probably wasn't a good thing.
He was about to see what all the fuss was about, all the yelling and screaming and all, but Mac decided the odds weren't in his favor as it was. He didn't want to make the matters any worse for himself. Sure, sitting at the corner table alone wasn't good for your personality towards others, but Mac didn't care. If he was a loner then he would probably be put aside like the cherry tomatoes on the teenager's plate. The teen took a seat in the corner, starting to fork up some of the leaves in his salad, chewing them slowly. This could be the last good meal I'll have in awhile..
won't you stay with me.. 'cause you're all I need

| Lorcan walked into the cafeteria. After training for most of the morning, he was hungry and slightly exhausted. He grabbed a tray and walked along the buffet table. He filled his plate with different foods and then grabbed a drink. He looked around for a spot to sit. Lorcan noticed another guy standing there, the boy from district 11, Mac was his name. | |
