The old farmhouse had come together quite nicely, mostly due to the fact that it wasn't nearly as bad inside as Storm had expected. He'd spent the majority of the last month or so putting the place together little by little, with the help of Elliot and Fallon sometimes too. Now it was almost done, they just had to paint it because the old colors had faded and it didn't really suit them anyway. There was also a strong need for furniture, but they'd get to that later. Storm had given Fallon free range on the color scheme, a decision he regretted in some places, but he wasn't complaining. They were doing the painting together, with his mother watching Lily for a bit so they could color the place without letting the baby inhale harmful fumes. It almost felt too quiet without the kid around, but Storm was glad for the time alone with her mother. Even if she was making him paint the living area a bad color. "You sure you don't want a lighter shade of this?" He asked, but by now the paint was on the wall and it would be hard to get a change now. "I mean, I guess it's okay if you want to be blinded in the morning," He laughed, obviously joking with her. At least it wasn't so bright that it burned their eyes right then and there. | |

| Nice, sure. He chuckled a bit before the room feel into silence, each of them working to finish the room. Maybe he was wrong, he thought as the color started to grow on him. Or maybe Lily'd side with her father and cry as soon as she laid eyes on the room. Yeah, he'd hope for that. Fallon's voice pulled him from his thoughts. His hand stopped mid-stroke and he narrowed his eyes. How many times had that thought crossed his mind? In so many years, it came up once a day; but he could ignore it then. He sighed, forcing himself to continue painting. "Well that's easy. A few months later, this house won't be needed. After all, we'd be living over in the Victor's Village, wouldn't we?" He added a laugh in there somewhere and tried to focus on the wall. But there's no way they'd be reaped again, right? All those times for him, once for Fallon, they'd had their share, hadn't they? | |

| Well, Fallon went along with his optimism. "We've barely got paint on the walls and you're calling this home?" he laughed, turning to look at her. "I couldn't see Kaden moving into that huge place without me, but I guess we'd talk about it. Maybe give him his own Twacta," he continued, painting the walls without looking anymore, "But you're right, it'd be better for Lilly here." He smiled, thinking how soon their daughter would be running around, getting crayon marks all over the walls. Such a good child, Lily was. | |
