The stag almost seemed to laugh. It turned around and started kicking up dirt, which flew into her face.

Victoria started coughing and hacking up the dirt that was in her mouth. She knew if she was lucky this could be her final attack. It would have to be a big hit.

Victoria tried to move out of the way of the falling trees. She, yet again, went to block the animals destruction and tried to launch an attack at the same time.

oceania's back yo

Oceania jogged from the apple tree, hearing more trees crash down. She gathered her belongings a while go, and now she was readying her sword. She ignored what her partner had said for now, and she made her way through the forest. She reached a giant patch of flowers and continued jogging. She got close enough to the commotion that she saw a figure and a deer-like creature.

"Victoria?" she called out, seeing her ally fighting the deer. The tribute gripped her sword tightly as she ran into the fight. She quickly turned to face the deer and swung her sword at it. "Victoria, oh my God, are you okay?" Oceania ran up to Victoria and stood beside her.

The stag fell to the ground, dead. The girls were reunited in the forest, but their happiness would likely be short-lived. A leaf floated into Oceania's hands. Victoria didn't notice the leaf, but it had writing scratched into it:

"There's no better gift
To a long lost friend,
On whom your survival
May just depend,
Than a hard-won prize
That could lead to her end."

The writing continued onto the back (it was a large leaf with small writing) :

"You may have initially chosen wrong,
But don't despair-
Not all is lost.
One man's trash
Is another man's treasure,
And one tribute's death
Is another's pleasure."

Oceania sighed as the deer was dead. She felt a leaf fall onto one of her hands; she was about to drop it, because it was a leaf, but she noticed faint scribbles on it. She looked to Victoria, who didnt seem to notice, and read the leaf. Oh, great, another riddle, the tribute thought to herself before she completed reading.

Once she was done, her heart sank. She shouldnt have come back to save Victoria. She closed her eyes and pursed her lips into a line while her hand tightened aroud her sword.

"I'm sorry," Oceania whispered as she brought her sword up, then slashed at her ally, with tears running down her face.

Once Oceania had helped killed the stag Victoria winced in pain as the tree was crushing her leg. "Oceania i'm so glad your here i was walking through this flower patch, when all of a sudden i heard a crack and could not get away fast enough and this tree landed on me." Victoria winced in pain again as she tried to move her leg under the tree. She looked down at her leg from what she could see it did not look so good. Victoria all of a sudden starts to feel very sleepy. "I THOUGHT WE WERE ALLIES???" Victoria screamed.

The leaf blew away. This wasn't what it had intended exactly, but fighting was even better.

"What was in your hand ?!" Victoria demanded. "Oh my god Oceania what has gotten into you!!! I thought i was your ally?? Well i guess i'm not anymore." Victoria was so mad that her own ally had turned on her.

Oceania looked at her ally and grimaced. She tried to jump out of the way of her attack. She went to strike Victoria with the sword, but hesitated. She couldnt do it. She sniffled as she reached from her belt and grabbed an apple. She handed Victoria the apple before sitting on the ground. "Im so stupid," she muttered. "I'm sorry..."

((Kelli is correct. Posting order in the Games is very important, ESPECIALLY during a battle. Your last attack will not be counted and we will assume Oceania will not take damage since she never had a chance to block the last one. Basically, it goes GM post, Kelli post, Tori post. Thanks!)

Oceania's blue vial started glowing.

Oceania wiped a tear away from her cheek. "I can't do it," she whispered. "I can't kill you, Victoria. We're allies, and Im staying your ally until the end. I'm sorry." She slipped her sword back into her belt loop and sighed. She looked to her lap, but then noticed a faint blue glow. She lifted a finger at her vial, which was now providing the blue glow. She quickly uncapped the blue vial, poured a drop onto one of her throwing knives.

Victoria did not know what to think. She was very mad, upset, and confused at the same time. She decided to take the apple.

"Thanks. What was in your hand that blew away? Was it something that said you have to kill me to make it out of here?"

Victoria closed her eyes and took a deep breath to calm down. When she open her eyes she saw the beautiful blue glow. (Blue after all was her favorite color.)

"What the ??? Oceania..."

Victoria asked strangely.

"Why is one of your vials glowing blue..? Where did you even find the vials? Where did you find the apple?"

Victoria noticed that she was asking a lot of questions and she did not want to pressure Oceania into answering them.

"Sorry i got a little ahead of my self there. You don't have to answer the questions if you don't want to. Hey by the way would you mind trying to help get this tree of off me...?"

Victoria giggled when she noticed that all this time Oceania and her were talking she forgot to ask to help get the tree off of her leg.

The drop fizzed gently on the throwing knife but did not appear to have any effect. Victoria managed to free her leg from the tree.

Oceania chewed the inside of her cheek as Victoria asked her a bunch of questions.

"A leaf... a leaf flew into my hands... something about survival... Uh, the vials and apples were back in the forest..." she muttered as she looked at her knife. Nothing seemed to happen, although she felt weird. She seemed as if... As if she wanted to see blood, and it wasnt her own. She stared at Victoria for a while before plainly standing up and putting the knife into her belt. Her fingers quickly wrapped around her sword's hilt.

"Winner gets closer to winning for real, right?" the tribute muttered/hissed as she swung her sword at the girl.

"I knew it!" Victoria screamed. "Your apology was never real! Whatever you found in the forest really messed you up but if you want to fight that's exactly what you will get." Victoria said sternly. She knew Oceania was a decent fighter but in district three (her home district) they were taught to block and she has, for the most part, very effective blocks.

The gamemaker loves that the tributes are fighting and all, but seriously, the lead just meant give the vial to Victoria because it's poison and I'm just going to straight-up tell you that because eh.
