| OutfitCarissa got to her floor and immediately began making preperations for a little mentor get-together that someone had arranged once during her very first year of mentoring that had really brightened her experience. She got some help from Avoxes to set out some food and decorations, and soon everything was ready. Carissa quickly stepped into her own room to refresh her makeup, and then notified the other mentors by delivering a cute little hand-written invitation on every floor. She wasn't sure it anyone would really respond to her offer, but it wouldn't hurt to try. There was nothing wrong with sitting on a fabulous couch looking gorgeous, even if nobody was there to see you. "Thanks, hun, I think that's everything," Carissa said to an Avox, who was looking at her questioningly. She plopped down on a beautiful fluffy white couch and smiled. "Ahh... let the mentor shindig begin!" |

| Well, Regan had expected to settle back into the Ninth floor to a elegantly boring evening, as had been the case the last time he was in the Capitol. But it seemed the District One mentor wouldn't let that be so. After checking in on his duties and making sure he could leave, he made his way down to the first floor. Too bad it wasn't the 12 mentor; then they could have partied on the roof. Mentoring had obviously changed since Regan had been around, he reflected as he prepared to enter the party area. Then the elevator lowered into place and he was able to step out. "Hello," he said, looking about the vast living expanse which wasn't unlike the Ninth floor, "Am I a tad early? I know us old geezers like to be punctual." He addressed the last bit to the young woman on the sofa, who was in fact the only other person currently in the room, and stepped away from the elevator to let those other mentors show up. | |

| OutfitCarissa grinned as the District 9 mentor walked in. She carefully got to her feet. Just because she had a lot of practice in heels didn't mean she didn't fall every now and then, and she wanted to avoid that. "Right on time! As you can see, you're my first guest!" Carissa smiled at him and gestured to the food table. "Help yourself! I'm just gonna turn on some music and hopefully the other mentors will arrive shortly." She hurried over to a fancy stereo thing and got some music playing, then called down to order a bartender. Carissa mixed herself a strawberry daiquiri and took a sip. She didn't want to get too drunk, but they were her favorite and she would take it slow. |

ROWAN QUISTAN -- District Eight Mentor |
Rowan had just settled in to his eighth floor room when he was reminded of a party that the District One Mentor was throwing. Checking to make sure Mirabelle would be set until his return, he slid a flask filled with fresh liquor into his breast pocket and made his way to the elevator. Pushing the button to Floor One, Rowan glanced at his reflection in the elevator door. Running his fingers in his hair, giving it a bit more wave, he smiled and winked at the mirror. "Gotta make sure if I'm gonna get drunk, I get drunk looking good," he thought to himself. Tapping his foot and looking at the floor indicator, he realized just how high up the eighth floor was. It didn't feel that way, but he figured anticipation got the better of him and slowed time. Pulling out the flask, he took a large swig of it. Placing it back in his breast pocket, he noted that he was at the first floor.
Rowan stepped out of the elevator, Rowan glanced around. The first floor was nice. Not as nice as the eighth in his opinion, but nice. Striding into the room, he noted the District One Mentor already had a guest, the one from District Nine. That was a weight off his chest, at least he wasn't the first to arrive. "Well, don't be too much of a party animal, you two!" Rowan said loudly as he walked towards the duo. "Well hello Regan," he said to the District Nine Mentor. "And thank you, Carissa, for inviting us all here. Marvelous floor," he complimented as he placed his hands into his pants pockets. |

| Sage Traport Sage received an invitation to the mentor party on the first floor, and she was seriously considering not going. She didn't really want to go for a few reasons, like the idea that she had a book to read or something lame like that. As she continued to think about it, the victor realized that she was really bad at making reasons for not going. What would it hurt after all? If she didn't have fun, she could just leave. Her internal debate went on for a few more short seconds before she dressed herself in a tan dress, with butterflies floating upwards on it. It was simple. After brushing her hair, the mentor decided she looked decent enough to interact with people.
She took the elevator down to the first floor, making sure that she could walk in her pastel blue heels. The heels weren't extremely high, but Sage wanted to make sure she didn't break an ankle. Once the door opened, she was greeted with the sight of a fancy floor, with three other mentors that had appeared before she. The girl walked into the room, her heels clicking against the floor softly with each step. "This place looks nice," she muttered appreciatively. party outfit

| "Ah yes, music is what this was missing," Regan said as the woman went to turn some on. It was odd, not having it ready to go, but people got preoccupied. The food cart wasn't that appealing, nor was the alcohol, but he made his way there anyway; looking awkward was not a good impression. Don't be too much of a party animal, you two! A voice said, saving him the awkwardness. He spun about, instantly recognizing the mentor from Eight. "Rowan! I'm surprised ya recognize me, old chap! It's been a few years," he said with a grin. He glanced back at the food table then, as Rowan went to greet the other mentor. It'd be rude not to eat something, right? Even if he had come purely for socialization, which wasn't quite working yet. Finally selecting a candy, he turned back to the other two. "So then, how's life been treatin ya?" he addressed the question to no one in particular, popping the candy into his mouth as he finished. "Any new fads I've missed in me old age?" Regan had just gotten the question out when a new face showed up. "'Ello love! Party's just getting started!" he said, flourishing his hand about in a way that brought it back to the tray of candies. They actually tasted pretty good. | |

| Outfit"Why thank you, Rowan, and thanks for coming." Carissa replied, taking another sip of her drink. She was pleased with the turnout so far and went over to mingle with the guests once the bartender had arrived. "Hi! Welcome everyone! I'm Carissa, the District 1 mentor, and I just thought it might be nice for all of us mentors to have a little quality time. Help yourself to the food and drinks, and let me know if you need anything." Carissa said to her guests. "Don't worry, I'm not going to make some huge speech. I just want to say that one of the mentors did this my first year of mentoring and I found it a really sweet gesture, and I love parties, so I thought I'd throw this together. Thank you all for coming, and please enjoy!" She finished her little introduction and headed over to the woman from 6, who seemed slightly uncomfortable. "Hello, dear! What's your name?" She extended her hand for the other woman to shake and smiled brightly. |

| Errik White Errik decided he needed to get out of the tribute towers, and do something. He remembered about the mentor party that they usually had in the capitol during the games. Errik walked down the street towards the mentor building. As he entered he looked around, but didnt see anyone he recognized right away. Errik approached the bar and took a seat after ordering a drink. | |

ROWAN QUISTAN -- District Eight Mentor |
Rowan's smile brightened as Regan returned the greeting. "Can't forget the oldies that came before me, Regan, you know that," he said. As their host mentioned to enjoy the drinks, Rowan picked one up and raised it to the ceiling, "Don't mind if I do!" He knocked the drink back and laughed. Turning and facing Regan once more, Rowan responded. "Life's been well, I suppose. Took up drinking, sadly. My nephew was killed in the Games two years back," he said with a noticeable tinge of regret in his words. Picking up another shot, he knocked it back and laughed once more. Smiling at Regan, "Well, I'm not much up on the fads in my age either. Though, I supposed Eight is a bit more 'trendy' than Nine, so there's that." Rowan grabbed a candy off the tray Regan had waived over. Tossing one into his mouth, he savored the taste. Closing his eyes, he savored it until he forced himself to stop. He heard a new voice, one of another female. Turning towards the female and examining her, he smiled at her and said "You must be Six. Ms. Traport if I am correct?" Rowan waited for her to return the hostessess shake before extending his own hand. "Rowan Quistan. Eight," he said. He also noticed a new body sulk into the room, though this one headed straight for the drink. Taking mental note of the boy, he returned a smile to the circle of mentors who were being chatty. |

| Regan gave a thumbs-up to the hostess, Carissa, as she introduced herself, but he took no motion to actually grab a drink. Instead, he snatched up another of those candies and watched the Eight mentor get his refreshments. "Tough luck, that is," Regan's voice was edged with sympathy; he could only imagine if one of his nephews had been reaped, or his own daughters. But he wouldn't linger on that sour note, "And that's a bit 'a shame," he motioned to the shot in Rowan's hand, "But If it wasn't for the old lady, I'd be right there with ya." He pretended to look longingly at the bar as the other man knocked back another shot. But he really didn't care for the stuff anyway. "I'm sure you get exclusive access to all the latest fashions over there, don't ya? Grain doesn't change much at all, ya know," He said with another good-natured laugh. "Good, aren't they? Wonder what they are..." Regan resisted the urge to devour another of the candies; they would most certainly be better later. Then they were passing around introductions and Regan realized he'd never actually introduced himself. "Regan Barwet, Nine, by the way," he said with a wave to the ladies, but he didn't put a hand out to shake. The poor Six was occupied with two hands already.
That's about when another mentor showed up. Regan recognized the significantly younger kid instantly. He'd grown a bit since Regi had seen his Games, but Errik was still pretty fresh in his old memory. And for good reason. "Is that what passes for a Victor these days?" he whispered to Rowan, completely out of earshot, observing the boy as he ignored the party and went straight for the bar. "Oi, laddy, a wee bit young for that, don'tcha think?" Regan shook his head at the boy as if he was his father, but deep down Regan knew it was useless. If a victor wanted to drink, they could, and they deserved it. After hell, anyone deserved a good drink.

| Errik looked over at the group of mentors that was sitting not too far away. They looked to be having a lot of fun, he didnt feel like he would fit in with them. One of them called him out about drinking, "Blame the capitol." He called back as he returned his attention to his drink which was now almost empty. He looked at the bar tender, who began to make him another one. | |

| Sage Traport Sage was caught up in the party, observing a variety of the architectural features and displays, when she heard someone directing conversation at her. The victor had listened to Carissa's speech, and was grateful that it was short and sweet. She brushed a strand of her hair out of her face, and was about to take a seat, when she noticed Carissa moving towards her. Sage returned the smile, and shook her extended hand. "Sage Traport, nice to meet you," she replied, hoping that her smile was warm enough for the mentors around her. She always had trouble reading these folk, they ranged from friendly to deranged, and everywhere in between.
She then shook the mentor from eight's hand, Rowan. The woman remembered most of their names from previous years. Glancing over at the newest of them so far, she simply shook her head. Drinking was most often a hobby of victors, but not Sage. She was trying to stay as normal, and healthy as she could, despite her status in the Capitol. "It's a shame, isn't it?" Sage muttered, turning her attention towards Carissa. "At least we'll have you to throw lovely parties," she added, smiling softly. party outfit

| OutfitCarissa smiled at Sage. "Nice to meet you, too," she said politely, placing her hand back at her side once she'd shaken hands with the woman. The other mentors seemed to be eying a younger boy who had just walked in. Carissa pursed her lips. Should I ask him to leave, or at least to stop drinking? She didn't want to judge or crimp his style, or least of all disrespect another victor, but she didn't feel totally comfortable allowing teenage drinking. I'll cut him off if he starts to go overboard, she decided. If he wants to drink, that's his decision, but I will not permit him to use my party simply as a means to acquire alcohol, nor will I be an enabler his addiction. Carissa winked at the bartender, then tilted her head towards the boy as a symbol to keep track of how much he drank and make sure he didn't get too excessive. The bartender nodded and she mouthed a quick 'thank you' before turning back to Sage. "Sorry, just want to keep everything under control. Oh, and thank you, dear, but a party would be nothing without the guests!" She picked a little sugar cookie with a jelly center off the food cart and popped it in her mouth, chewing and swallowing before speaking again, this time addressing whatever mentors were in range. "So, any of you know any fun party games?" |

| Derald laid on the window seat at the tenth floor, looking out to the foreign town while he tossed an apple up and down. The whole floor was quiet, with all the tributes down by the centre training. He waited for time to past, trying as hard as he could to be a lil more than useless; how did he come back? But an envelope slipped under the door, making with drop the apple and sit up. He went towards it to read the message and what do ya know, a party? Was this how mentors past time now a days? Derald smiled, shaking his head as he folded back the invitation, almost going back to his previous apple tossing time passer, but he stopped in his tracks and thought, well, one party ain't gonna kill no one, right? He hardly know anyone, scratch that, he didn't know anyone at all, maybe just listen in to the chatter, hang round the corners, anything that was more entertaining than an apple. Honestly, some socialising could probably do good to their sanity once in a while.
Derald put the apple back in the basket by the kitchen counter and greeted the Avoxes goodbye before heading down the lift to the first floor. No harm, right? He kept reassuring himself until the door opened up to lights, music, laughter, and booze. He smiled but didn't say anything, wasn't gonna until someone actually noticed him come in. Kinda reminds him of the barn parties back home, except there was more alcohol involved in this one. Derald slowly walked away from the entrance while an Avox came up to him to offer him a glass of whatever and he took it, nodding as thanks. "Well ain't this a party," he muttered under his breath, seeing the first floor for the first time. More or less sure no one heard him while he leaned on the wall, taking in the interior of the whole floor. It was way more bling than the tenth and things look a lot more breakable. Some how, the Capitol never fails to surprise him. Derald soon looked towards the other mentors; older and more experienced, all chummy with one another.
