| Astrid had been walking in the district, sometimes she took long strolls to clear her head and just have some time to herself. Of course she had only been home for a few days since all her tributes were now deceased. It felt weird to mentor someone who was apart of your district and now they're gone. The games ripped people away all the time and it rather upset her. She wasn't very close with either of her tributes she mentored but it still felt like the streets were empty now.
Astrid came up to the bakery, the same one where her and Anders had gone, the day they had met. The day Anders just wanted a cake for his brother, and this deeply saddened Astrid by this point. His brother had to lose him, in order for Astrid to come home and just be with Rafe. It wasn't as selfish when she thought about in the end that she was having a family now. She has a husband and three children, while pregnant with the fourth and last. The bakery though brought back memories and it was like she could see Anders standing there with at stupid smirk on his face. Although he wasn't actually there, he was dead.
Astrid remembered when he had died and her words to him echoed in her mind. "I'll win for our district, I promise." Astrid began to tear up again, and the void not hit her hard, it had been a couple years now since Anders had passed, and Astrid was now just starting to feel it more. She hook the feeling off deciding she doesn't cry, she opened the door to the bakery and she came in. She purchased the chocolate cake that was there and then she left walking with the cake. It was staring at her, and it gave her all the memories of Anders, her district partner in the games. She soon sat on a bench and she began to cry silently to herself, not a full out cry just tears streaming down her face.
"I wonder what it's like to be dead.. I hope it's peaceful like you're floating. You deserve it, Anders, but you also deserved to come home." She spoke softly. | |

| On that day, Dustin had been training in the nearby training facility, slicing with swords and what-not. But soon, out of pure exhaustion did he decide he would take a break. That along with his two older brothers throwing him out, literally. They thought he was training to hard so they both gripped him by one side and carried him out the doors. Once they were out they dropped him and ran back in, leaving him on his butt on the ground. Dustin turned around and cursed at them before he got up, dusting his pants off before he looked around. He needed something to do. But then he saw a woman sitting on a bench, crying. So Dustin felt an urge to go over to her, being his normal-help the crying woman-self. After a couple moments he sighed and began walking over to her, his red Converse making light thumping sounds as he walked. Once he was over to the woman he noticed who she was, one of the District 2 mentors. So he kind of hesitated for a moment before he spoke in his deep and clear voice, "Sorry to intrude miss, but I couldn't help but notice your crying. Is something wrong?" But then he felt sort of stupid for saying that, of course something was wrong if she was crying. | |

| As he felt the woman's yes studying him, Dustin looked down slightly, rubbing the edge of his eyebrow. But he was a little taken aback by her blunt words. All he was doing was trying to help. He shook it off inside when she began speaking again, him nodding as she did. After she was done he replied, "That's fine ma'am, just trying to help." Then he paused, trying to think of what else to say, "Well, um...my name is Dustin. May I ask for yours?" As he spoke he moved his hand forward for he to shake it. | |

| ((JUst gonna make him have a like..default gif XP)) AS she looked at him, Dustin shifted his weight onto the opposite foot, unsure of if he should have asked that. Of course she was a victor, he just had forgot what her name was. That wasn't so bad right? After a moment though it clicked, right as she began saying her name. Of course this was Astrid Splints, the victor that proposed in the games. Pretty cool actually. But either way. As she grabbed the cake he stepped back to give her a little room to stand up, before saying, "Do you need any help ma'am?" Of course he knew she was capable of carrying a cake, but just was being polite. | |
