Gemma saw the water and she started to get really excited and upbeat about it. Just when she had thought her hopes were getting down and there was no use of water it had shown up at least, she just hoped it was drinkable, and if not she was almost sure she'd take the chance anyways she needed wanted and she needed it now plus she was fairly creative she she'd know howto conserve water. Besides she was fairly sure she knew how they would be able to make more things for them to hold there water in. "Geoff look!" She exclaimed and she started to giggle as she skipped towards the spring and she came up to it. She could see her reflection in it and smiled, soon she crouched down and she scooped up some water in her hands and she began to take some sips, water was very good and refreshing. She was now satisfied.

Geoffrey knew that he and Gemma were fading fast. Not necessarily into death, but they were severely dehydrated and if they weren't already considered crazy by most people, he would have been worried about the madness setting in. Gradually though, he thought he heard a trickle of water. It seemed like the most beautiful sound in the world, but he wasn't sure if he was just imagining it or if it was really there. Is that... a spring? DUN DUN DUN! No, seriously though, is it? Or is this a... what's the word... mirage... He stared at it. Am I going to end up trying to drink rocks? "Gem?" he said cautiously, hearing an unpleasant raspiness in his voice and wincing. "You see that two, right?" As tempted as he was to stick his face in and gulp down more water than he'd ever had at one time in his life, he resisted. Is it safe to drink? he wondered. It hurt too much to talk. Do I care? His eyes had not moved from the trickling water, as if he were worried that if he looked away, it would disappear, which he figured was entirely possible. He didn't know whether he was exaggerating his thirst or not. His hands felt like cracked clay, and we was beginning to seriously worry that they would fall off. Possible poison, or die from thirst standing directly next to a fresh mountain spring? He moved forward, sticking his pinky in the water to see if it burned him. It was taking all his self-control not to just roll around in it, and soon he knew he would break.

The water from the melted snow was fresh, and there seemed to be no negative affects from drinking it.

Gemma loved the taste of the cool water going down her through and curing her dry throat. "Ooh! Geoffy fill your water bottle!" Gemma exclaimed filling with light. They couldn't stay here forever and they had to collect a bunch of water to travel with them. Gemma took out two boots and set them aside. She began to drink a bit more water than sat on the edge of the cool spring. Her goal was to make a boot canteen. She grabbed the ripped up shirt from making the bracelet and then she used it to outline the inside of the boot so the water couldn't escape that easily. Gemma soon brought the back of stuff in front of her and she found two belts and she figured they could do. Gemma was very tired for now though so she put the stuff in the bag for now and she decided to look for some berries, it was fairly bare around here but that didn't mean berries or anything she could eat wouldn't be around. Maybe she could find something small she could cook, even frog wouldn't be that bad.

Geoffrey accepted that the water was safe and gave in to his temptations. He lunged forward, scooping water into his water bottle and chugging it down. He spent a few minutes just drinking all the water he possibly could, then filled the water bottle up to the top and closed it. "Ahh," he sighed, leaning back once he'd satisfied his thirst. "Hydration, man. It's important." Geoffrey wanted to stick his face in the water, but he refrained from doing so. He didn't want to contaminate it. "Oh, that feels so much better."

As the tributes did their own thing, growls began to come from the caves around the spring.

Gemma heard the sounds and she was glad she had packed her stuff up. She held her two knives in her hand and she looked at Geoff and she grinned, she wasn't scared she almost wanted to go see what playmate they had next, "Geoffy, I think we have a new friend for dear old Mr.Darcy." She said smirking and series of giggles came out of her mouth. "Wonder what it is.." She trailed off and a gleam in her eye formed as she was truly excited, "this pleases me, we can then take its den and sleep." She said happily and bounced up and down she was waiting for her brother to lead the way though.

Geoffrey grinned at Gemma clapped his hands together excitedly. "Yay! They can be bestest bunny besties forever!" he squealed, pulling out his knife and approaching the caves. "Helloo? Is anybunny in there?" Geoff giggled. He didn't care if the creatures were bunny-like or not. Mr. Darcy made friends with everyone. Geoffrey nodded at his sister and charged forward, plunging his knife hand into the darkness of the caves.

Suddenly four eyes gleamed in the darkness, and after a moment out jumped two cougars, one an obvious male and the other a female that looked to be about the same size and age with similar markings...as if they were siblings...maybe even twins. They each growled to each other then back towards the two Turners, it was like these two mountain cats were speaking to each other too...weird. After what seemed to be an agreement from the cats, they both pounced, the male hitting Gemma and the female hitting Geoffrey, swiping at them with their large claws.

Gemma grinned and noticed how much the two cougars looked alike and she giggled, "Look Geoff! it's us!" She said pointing and she was exciting and soon the male swiped at her and she tried to jump out of the way. "Ooh we got a feisty bad boy over here!" She said with a true genuine excited tone within her voice. She held her knifes and took a swirling stab at the animal.

Geoffrey jumped up and down. "Omigosh, double twinzees!" he squealed happily, his eyes fixed on the beautiful muttations. Then the cougar slashed at them, though, and Geoff pursed his lips, taking on a very motherly tone. He instinctively shoved the cougar's paw away with his knife as it attacked Gemma, trying to block the attack on her. It seemed to be a bit more effective on the cougar's part anyway, and if he took his hit and blocked his sister's, it would be less total damage overall. Besides, Geoff hated to see his sister get hurt. He lifted a stern, pointed index finger and scolded them. "It is not nice to hit your twinzee buddies, kitty!" He maintained composure for a moment, then burst out laughing. "Ah, hell, who am I kidding? Hitting people is way too much fun to be left out of the twinzee buddy experience. In face, it's probably one of the best parts! But you shouldn't worry about that." He smirked. "We'll soon prove to be the best twins in these games, and you can go play with Mr. Darcy. Fair warning, he can have a bit of a temper. He's very fierce. Of course, so are we. It runs in the family." Geoffrey opted to scratch the cougars instead of throwing his knives and risking losing them. "Rawr."

After growling amongst themselves for another moment after their attacks, the twin cougars readied another pounce. Claws outstretched they leaped towards the Turner twins.

Gemma took a breath in remembering to breathe because it was important after all. Gemma tried to duck out of the way and then she gripped her daggers and she began to swipe at the male cougar trying to take it down a bit.

Geoffrey crinkled his eyebrows together, wondering if they could somehow push the cougars off the mountain or tie them up and sick them on other tributes. He shoved the thought away for the time being and took a deep breath. Breathing was important, of course, so he was glad to see Gemma breathing as well. He dodged the cougar's attack as best he could and sliced at it with a knife.

The cougars go in for another attack, their claws creating a scratching noise against the stone from the cave underneath them.

Gemma wasn't having much luck in how this was all supposed to go, she was normally pretty good with daggers and she then stepped out of the way hoping she could dodge this one, and then she an upward slice at the cougars face, she wanted to hurt this cougar so bad, she wanted sleep, she wanted this cave to be hers, and she glared at the beast right in the eyes and she growled at him.

Geoffrey pouted at the cougar. "I know, kitty, I'm disappointed in myself too. Surprisingly enough, there aren't a lot of cougar mutts in District 6 to practice killing." He crossed his arms and stepped out of the way of the cougar's attack as quickly as possible. "I know, right? They should really import some! If and when we get out of here, we'll totally suggest that." Geoff smiled and attempted to impale one of the cougars with one of his knives.

The male cougar that attacked Geoffrey got sent back a little as it was finally hit by Geoffrey. As it did, the other cougar went to its side as if it was concerned for its safety and turns its attention towards Geoffrey. They both lunge, this time at the male Turner twin.

Gemma watched as both the cougars started to attack geoff, and not her. She got mad, no one was allowed to hurt her brother, no one, they hurt him they might as well hurt her. Gemma took her dagger and defended her brother trying to block one of the attacks. The female's attack and then she struck the beast with her other dagger.

Geoffrey smiled at Gemma in thanks, then looked back to the cougars. He attempted to dodge the attack of the one Gemma hadn't blocked and giggled. "LOOK LOOK THEY'RE JUST LIKE US!!" he squealed, stabbing at the other cougar with his knife. He resisted the urge to pat the cougar on the head since it would probably make it easier for it to attack him.

The male cougar goes down after Geoffrey hits it and right on cue the female cougar howls out a mournful sound out into the caves. as if getting revenge she swipes her claws twice at Geoffrey, growling at him as if she was yelling at him for killing her sibling.

Gemma watched as the male had died and the female was now mourning. "Awe! Poor baby! They are just like us Geoff!" Gemma exclaimed, "I am so sorry but it's you are us and we'll let you go back with your brother!" Gemma said to the female cougar as she tried to block one of her swipes from hitting her brother, she hated to see him hurt, and tried her best to protect him. Gemma then began to swipe with her throwing knife at the cougar. It wasn't wise to throw it at a mutt when she could miss.

Geoff nodded at his sister. "It's better this way, kitty, trust me. Soon you'll be together again." He sighed, ducked the attack that Gemma hadn't blocked, and swiped at the female cougar. "Oh, honey. Don't you worry. We hate to split up a pair so similar to us, but we do what must be done. Plus, we'd like to sleep in your caves and not die, so there's that. But it's okay, you'll be reunited soon!" He smiled at them, knowing that if Gemma were ever to die he would probably lash out as well, but then he'd want to die to be with her again.
