On the look out

I was glad to get out of there. I have my now and I have 15 arrows. I can't waste them. I need to find water. I avoided going to small rooms or big buildings, I would rather stay in the woods that give an outdoor feel where less people would want to be.

I take a walk to look for any source of water. I will die if I don't get water in 3 days. Blood isn't a drinkable option either. Whilst looking for water, I also look out for food. Whether its a squirrel or some edible plants. The woods are one of the best places to be in the games. It's a source of heights, and it's peaceful. I always make sure to look behind me, just invade someone tries to sneak up on me. I decide that the best source of water to find naturally will be found in open areas.

I collect the berries, and sure enough, they were edible. I put them in my pocket, and save it for later. I was starting to get a little hungry, so I bit into my apple. It tasted so good. I vaguely knew which way I came from, but I didn't want to get lost even more.

I continue looking for any source of water. If it becomes desperate, I can suck on the berries, but that wouldn't even last a day. I wondered if I could find a source of water from a height. It was worth a try. I decide to climb up a tree and look around to spot a water source. Without it, I will die. I scan across the ground, hoping for any sign of water. Even animals would alert me of water sources. They can't live without water either.

I climb down, and start running towards what looks like a pond. I know not to get my hopes up, the game makers could have put anything there instead of water. I know how to purify it though, if it does turn out to be water. As I reach the pond, I kneel down and inspect it, hoping that it was water and it wa preferably clean already.

The water needed to be purified but all I need is something to store the water in. Without it, I would die from drinking it as it is. I decide to stay around the area, whilst I see if there is anything I can use to collect the water in. I need to get a bag or something to store everything that I get.

I see the bamboo, and I manage to find a use for them. I collect some and immediately head back to the water. I collect sticks and branches from the trees and start a small fire. I then make a stand with natural materials and place the pieces of bamboo above it for 10 minutes. I decide to set camp in the nearest tree, and when the bamboo charcoal is produced, I put it in the water. It will take 24 hours to filter properly. Until then, I still have the berries to suck on.

I was starting to get tired. I decided that it would be best to sleep in a tree, just incase anyone else comes along. I hang my bow and arrows up on a sturdy branch and do my best to camouflage it with leaves. I then get myself sat up at the top of the tree and start closing my eyes.

I woke up, feeling refreshed. It must be very early morning, 4am maybe? I grab my bow and arrows as I head down to check on the water. It is definitely starting to work. My mouth was dry and my stomach was rumbling. I bite into a berry, and the flavours exploded in my mouth. I decide that I need to get some meat. It is the best source of food. I figured that they would want to be around this area, because of the water.

I prepare my bow by loading an arrow so I can shoot as soon as I see something. I figured that it would give me energy for the day, just incase I ran into a tribute, or a Mutt.

There was no animal in sight, although I start to think that I should wait until the water is clean. Judging by time, it still needed a good few hours. I stay on the lookout though, just incase a tribute, animal or even a mutt came out. I wondered where my ally, Grace is. I hope she is doing alright. I then remember her 10. People would be sponsoring her. I am in a situation where sponsors were good, but not necessary.

I spotted the chipmunk. Without hesitating, I aim my bow at it and shot at the chipmunk. It would be enough to get me going through the day. I then go up to the chipmunk just to check that it was dead. If it was, I would need to start a fire, so that I could cook it and not get food poisoning.

It turned out that the chipmunk was a mutt. I should have saw it coming. I had to start fighting it. I was glad I got a weapon now. I wouldn't have a chance without a weapon.

I managed to get a good attack on him. I should have it dead soon, I hope. Since what I did last time worked very well for me, I follow through the same plan. Block it's attack, and then strike an attack at it.
