The mutt groaned and then walked over to the fallen column and moved it but it cost him his life to do it. Grace was no free to go.

Dizzy from exhaustion Grace found herself falling as she slumped against the wall. How long has she been here? Grace had no idea but she just watched as the beast groaned.. now in the dim light from her near extinguished torch she could see the shine of blood on it's flesh. There was blood everywhere and Grace didn't know how much was hers and how much belonged to the beast. In a daze she wondered why it was not attacking but soon there was a crash like the one that had first trapped her.. dust flew.. Grace coughed up and found herself being sick. She couldn't stay here.. slowly she dragged herself up onto her feet and then using the wall for balance found her way back to the doorway where the Butt lay under the broken column.

It had attacked her yet sacrificed it's life to free her. Grace found herself conflicted as she used the last of her energy to wedge the sword from it's hand. It was heavy and her arm arched but she felt better for having it since she knew now that people where not the only enemy she had to deal with.

She felt light headed again and slipped onto the floor beside the Mutt, she had lost a lot of blood and knew it, her body ached with every second and she had been limping. Remembering the package she opened it, tears streaming down her face as she unwrapped a medkit.. first they make her bleed and then they patch her up.

There was nothing more she could do then to strip off her bloody overalls and treat her wounds, wrapping them tightly in bandages she tried to ignore her thirst as she packed everything away and tucked them into her overalls. She couldn't stay here, not without water.

The voices echoed telling her to go find her ally.

Grace wasn't sure but she may have passed out for a bit, the next thing she heard was voices echoing and whispering around the room.. she picked up words hinting and pointing her to find her ally.. a hopeless task in such a maze.. sighing she looked to discover that her torch had gone out.. she was alone and probably hallucinating as she dragged herself to her feet and using the sword as a crutch limped out into the hall. It was slow going but always the echos where behind her edging her on.

She didn't know if they could be trusted.. likely the path was leading her right back into another trap but she had no other choice.
