| Roe Glass---District 5---Male---17---The games had started and for the first time in days Roe was able to pull himself away from the screen and took him outside. It was like he hadn't felt the fresh, open air in years; or maybe it was that he didn't want to feel it. Feeling that made him feel whole, and he couldn't feel whole while the only person who ever truly got him was torn away from him and thrown into a swampy field being forced to kill. He watched her kill the girl from district 7, her name was Willow. They showed the kill count for each tribute and there that tally mark was, next to her name. Rhea Glass, 1 kill. He never thought that his sister would have actually killed anyone, she could barely kill a spider, and somehow she killed a human being. He knew that things would be different in the arena than they were in the districts, but he didn't think his sister would ever change. Yet, she had done it. If she came back, how would he approach her again. Could he see her the same way ever again?
Roe never really talked much before Rhea left, but now it seemed he had become mute. The house was always quiet now, him and his father barely spoke a word to each other. He never realized how much Rhea kept the household together and talkative. She had a way of talking to people that he admired. He wandered aimlessly, not sure where he was going but he also didn't care. He needed to think, needed to get some air. But of course that also meant he wasn't paying attention to where he was going. He ran into someone, something he seemed to be doing a lot more lately. "Uhh...sorry." | |

| Twyla Evangeline Carters District 5 ************************************************************************************ "Wasn't it beautiful when you believed in everything?"
Twyla Carters, or Ty, as she prefers, was walking through the Upper part of the district. This was one of the days when she could do whatever, which was what she wanted. The girl decided not to watch more of the Hunger Games, the thought of it was still making her a little sick. Ty knew in her heart that she wouldn't be cut out for something like that. She also hoped that Lyssa, her sister, wouldn't ever have to go through that. The Carters were just beginning to act like a family again, and the Games could easily rip it apart
She was just walking, thinking about life with her mother by her side. Ty admitted to herself multiple times how she still wanted to hear her mother's voice singing her to sleep. Now, the Carters had other problems, and Ty couldn't think of fantasies anymore. It was time for hard truth. She knew that her family was going bankrupt, and was supposed to be out looking for a job. The only problem was, no one really wanted to hire her. Sighing, the girl kept walking up the alley.
Ty wasn't really watching where she was going, and apparently someone else wasn't either. "Ugh!" she said as they collided, and she backed up to look at the person whom she ran into. "Sorry, I uh, sorry." Ty said quickly, then blinked. She almost reconized some features of the person and a certain tribute in the Games. Her face instantly gained a look of pain. "You're... Rhea's brother, right?" Ty said, not realizing how that might hurt the guy. She straightened up, still not thinking about how she would feel if Lyssa was in the games.
"When everybody believed in you?"
