He went up the stairs as quietly as possible. Mac had a feeling people were down there in the cellar, and when there was people, there was going to be blood. He thought it might have been convenient to get out of there while he still could. Walking up the stairs, the tribute found himself in a room. It looked so childish in his opinion. To Mac, it just reminded him of what he was fighting for. He was fighting for his kid brother Axel, who needed Mac as much as the others. He needed to fight for Stella, so she wouldn't go insane. He also had to fight for Jak, his brother who used to be carefree, but now he's just a bundle of nerves probably. Mac sighed, the saddest one of all had to be Jude. For one, his brother died a games earlier, and now his boyfriend is going on the exact same path as him? It seemed a little scary how he might end up just the same as Icarus. Icarus.. he reminded himself of how he died, a random spear to the back. He shriveled out of another man's arms. A short, painful, silent death.

He quickly changed the subject from Icarus to something else in hopes of preventing himself from crying. Mac looked around, trying to notice any reflections that smirked at him. Hopefully not, but it is better to be safe rather than sorry..

It just began to hit Mac what he was really doing. His main objective was to live.. and in order to do that, he'd have to kill. You'd have to kill the minimum of one if you wanted to win the Hunger Games. With ten of the twenty-three competitors gone, the numbers were scarce. The odds of him finding more people on accident was small. The odds would be the same as picking an apple out of thirteen different fruits, plus the radius of how big the arena was. Doing the math, the odds of him accidentally finding finding someone was difficult. Considering there had to be several people back down those stairs, it would be easy near him.

He looked around, seeing thousands of himself, staring at one another. Mirrors were in mirrors with mirrors inside those. Every time he blinked, they seemed identical. Mac was just now realizing that he was never alone with all these mirrors. He tried his hardest to ignore the stains on the mirrors, or the creepy crib in the middle of the room. Wait.., Mac paused. Where is the middle? he thought, searching around. He searched for both some kind of resources like food and water, but also any other supplies that could prove useful.

Mac looked around, seeing nothing else but himself in the mirrors. It seemed as if that was the only thing in this damn arena besides darkness, but he could never be sure. Maybe there was a whole other half (which there is, but don't tell Mac. Too much work). He walked towards the crib now, trying to ignore the fact that there were faces surrounding him. What was in there?

There was some kind of baby inside the crib, with its head not attached. He stared at it uncomfortably as he noticed the littlest thing popping out of the plastic head. Well, they obviously want me to look inside to see what it is, so.., he thought beginning to finger at the thing inside the head.

To his surprise, the glass wouldn't unzip the toy snake, there was something blocking it. No wonder it felt a bit too heavy to be a toy, he thought as he tried to see what was inside. Mac noticed some rope inside. Carefully pulling it out, he continued to hear the voices. This time, he knew who they were, and he didn't like it. "Jak? Axel? Stella?" The tribute called out carefully, hoping not to be too loud. No, its just a trick. They can't be here, that's against the rules.. He assured himself that they weren't really there. After all, it has happened before. They just get information from the people and get photos, placing them into the games. "Jak," He called out, ignoring the other two. "I miss you," he said, tears slowly coming to his eyes.

He was spooked when words shot out of nowhere. What about me?, two voices announced, Mac recognized them as Stella and Axel. When he looked into the mirror at the exact same time, he was the one who said it. The mirror was pulling tricks on him. "No," he said as one stepped out of the mirror. They're coming, Mac was frighten as the duplicate went for his face. Mac tried the best to dodge the wack, whipping it with the rope.

Mac attempts to block the mutt attack, and whips the mutt with the rope (idk if its allowed so if its not then +5 if it hits. If it is allowed the normal thing I think, correct meh if I wrong

Shivers ran down his spine as he actually deflected the duplicate's claws and even managed to get a punch in at it. There was no use in using anything if his aim was a bit too off. The hands of himself went to scratch again. Trying to duck from the claws, he tried to punch it. Still looking for an escape route, he started to feel confident that he could get out of here alive.. he could live!

Mac winced in little pain as the mutt- no, monster dug into his body. He shook his head panting as he tried to regain breath. The only way out of the place was being guarded by the duplicate. Don't leave us again, brother! Draw with us like you used to.. the mutt was so tempting to hug like it was his own siblings, but he didn't let that happen. He tried to duck from the mutt before kicking one of the mirrors in hopes of breaking it. He hoped for a big shard.
