I didn't do it?

Will had been out that day, a smile on his face and his hair styled back. He had been letting his mother do his hair for a while now, deciding that he actually really liked what she could do with it. He had a striped shirt on and a scarf around his neck. Not one made for the summer, but one that's more or less made for...fashion you could say. He wore it around his neck, not wrapped around, but just loosely on his neck so that both ends were equal and fell down on the front. He also held a cup with a brown material around it so that his hand didn't get too hot. Inside the cup was a warm liquid he had made at home to give him his day's start. Of course, the drink was coffee. He was minding his own business when suddenly someone bumped into him. He was careful to not let any of his drink spill. He backed up a little from the girl he now saw in front of him, mostly from her bumping into him, saying "Whoa there...watch where you're goin'. Can't afford to get these clothes dirty...my parents would kill me." He smiled at his own joke, shaking his cup slightly and nodded when he heard there was still some left and took a sip. "Anyway, no need to apologize. The name's William, but most people just call me Will. Who might you be? And if you actually see me around a lot uh...sorry for not recognizing you." He mainly added in the last part cause he was pretty sure it happened before...and that sucked.

The young man simply smiled as she continued to speak, and chuckled lightly when the girl finished. "No need to apologize Arden. Some people just have a fair amount to say. And I can't say that there isn't a certain...charm to it, I suppose. He shrugged, taking another gulp of his drink and gave a satisfied sigh. "Delicious...anyway, what brings you out here this fine day? Just decided to take a stroll? Couldn't really blame you for it, considering how nice it is..." Will began to look around at the sky, barely any clouds in sight. Not only that, it was sunny but not so sunny to the point that it was boiling hot. Perfect weather...well, in his mind at least.

Will nodded when she said she had come out for a run and started to reply, "Well I suppose tha-," but then she snatched his cup out of his hand and downed the rest of what was in there, throwing it to the ground as she apologized. He sighed, and muttered "That was the last of the Hazelnut too..." He wasn't given much time to brood over his drink being spilled, because Arden had grabbed his hand and was pulling him along as she ran away. Out of instinct, he began to run with her, being led to god knows where. Eventually he asked her, "What the hell did you do that made him angry?"

As they turned around the corner and as he was pulled in, Will almost bumped his head on one of the walls but managed to dodge it. He slid into the space, a little uncomfortable. He heard her ramble about how she was sorry and that she would pay him back and he just shook his head. He lowered his voice and said, "Hey, don't put yourself down like that...and no need to pay me back. I can just go and buy some more on the way home. And to be honest, I don't really mind. This actually gives me some sort of excitement. On top of that, it's excitement that doesn't seem like it's gonna end with me being depressed, so that's actually pretty awesome." He smiled when he was done, and just realized he was still holding her hand which was when he let go, but didn't say anything about it.

Will smiled lightly when she said she would make him something to eat, but didn't comment on how she blushed. "Well...that'd be cool..." He trailed off as she began to speak again, listening to how she told him it was her mission to cure people of depression and sadness to which he replied, "Well...wish I had met you about two years ago...went through a depressing time from then to...well about a month ago. But that's uh...something I dislike to think about." His smile diminished a bit, but immediately came back as he looked away for second, but looked back as she said something about being ambitious and laughed with her. "That's fine...I'm just gonna...check if the coast is clear real quick." He nodded, sliding past her and then looked out at the street, both ways, not seeing anyone he had seen earlier and nodded. He looked back towards Arden, sliding back towards her. "It looks fine but we should wait for a few seconds...just in case."

When Arden mentioned that sometimes you need someone to talk to about depression he nodded and replied, "Yeah...although, back then I couldn't stand looking at anyone, let alone talking to them. But, now I got plenty of people." He smiled and pressed his back against the wall as much as he could so that they could have more space. He listened as she told him that she would be running around the district to which he chuckled. "Well, running away from people doesn't seem like fun...but, hey, being with someone as cool as you I suppose it could be nice." He smiled and looked away for a second before looking back to answer the question of how old he was. "I am nineteen...I turn twenty relatively soon. What about you?"

Will smiled slightly when she told him she wanted to hear his story to which he replied, "Well...there's nothing too interesting about it...but, if you really want me to tell you, I will. But first you'll have to pay me back like you said you would." He grinned and listened as she explained how she didn't just run from people, but had adventures as well. He nodded and waited for her to finish before saying, "Well, either way, it sounds fun." He chuckled and began to shuffle out from the hiding spot they had and popped out, motioning for Arden to follow him. "We should be fine now...probably lost 'em by now."

After they had both gotten out, Arden had begun to ask Will to tell her a bit more about himself. He chuckled and shrugged, rubbing the back of his head for a second before saying, "Well...my favorite color is green. Like a...vivid green. Don't know how else to explain it. As for food, it's gotta be either steak or a stew my dad makes that has all kinds of things ranging from different types of meats to vegetables. Not sure what exactly though..." Will had begun to think for a moment but then shrugged. "Anyway, I don't really have a hobby...usually just take strolls around the district, nothing special. And finally, what I wanna do...well, it depends what you mean by that. If you mean what job I want to have in the future, then I'm not entirely sure. If you mean what I want to do now...well...same thing actually." He chuckled, putting his hands in his pockets and looked around before turning his attention to her once more and asked, "What about you? What can you tell me about yourself?"
