Ryan grinned to himself as he sat idly on one of the more sturdy swings in the barn, rocking himself back and forth gently while cupping something in his hands. He kept looking down at it fondly and then glancing around for his sister to show up. Well, not really his sister but really she was his sister to him. He wanted to show her what he had, and was keeping it hidden in his hands safely while he waited, admiring the quaintness of the barn, and the privacy it brought. "Come on, I can't sit here all day" he muttered, looking around the barn, specifically at the large doorway, slightly cracked open.

Kaileen had been in the field outside of the barn, she was making her way there slowly but she had fun twirling around in the tall grass and just laying there watching the sky. She never kept track of time, there was no need, time shouldn't be rushed, there should be no such thing as time. She sat up and she looked at the sun and shook her head. She was probably late now, but he'd expect her to come in through the big barn doors. Kaileen didn't want to do that so she began to walk to the side of the barn where she saw a ladder that led to a chicken resting area or something. She began to climb the ladder, not really caring or thinking about if it could break. Luckily it held her weight. Soon she was inside the barn and she quietly moved through it down to the lower level where she saw Ryan. She slowly came up behind him and she she reached him, she let out one single word in a raised voice. "Boo!" She said nudging him slightly in the back. Then she noticed he had something in his hands and she tilted her head. "What's that?"

Ryan twitched a little when Kaileen snuck up behind him. He wasn't really frightened, he'd been waiting for her and the only things in this barn would be another person, or maybe a stray cow. Either way he wouldn't be endangered. "Watch it Kail, you'll make me drop it." he scolded, frowning slightly. He then relaxed a little, and opened his hands slightly, revealing a fluffly little baby chick. "This is the runt of the litter, tough little guy, so I'm calling him Scamp." he grinned, as the chick flapped its tiny wings a little and looked up at him and Kaileen.
