CJ Verno

CJ was now away from home for three weeks, and not even one of his Foster-Siblings or Foster-Parents have come to try and find him. The boy thought of it as neglect, but never had the courage to say that aloud. Cole stood next to the Tree House deep in the forest, beginning to climb up the several steps. Note to self: fix these steps for the ladder, they're pretty wobbly. The boy stored his note in an invisible cabinet in his mind so he wouldn't forget. Luckily, he didn't fall and crack his head open or something. The boy walked into the second room, his back leaning on the wall. He slowly slid down all the way to the ground, crossing his legs. Once again, he found a nice place to have some peace and quiet. For now.

Tearing off a piece of bread from his loaf that he happened to bring along with him, Lark casually coughed into his arms. He was really sick a few days ago with a fever, but it broke after long hours of annoying siblings. Today he felt that there was nothing significant to do, so Lark decided to the treehouse, a place where a lot of District Seven citizens went to for a huge amount if reasons.

Climbing up the ladder, it was wobbly after many going up and down, the curly-haired boy soon arrived at the entrance of the treehouse. Thankful that his weight saved him from not dying, he wondered if there was anyone else inside, which he wouldn't mind but it would be kind of a bummer. Calling out a shy "Hello?" Lark then actually entered the room. "Well, if anyone is here, I'm Lark," he mumbled, hoping no one could hear him and he'd be left alone.

CJ sighed as there was a small whisper, that did not come out of his own mouth. Usually, considering the time of day, nobody was really outside yet. But there was someone here, or something. There were two sides of the tree house, and nobody was on his side. CJ stood up, causing the floor of the treehouse to squeek a bit, but not too much. The boy cautiously gripped the side of the opening, peaking into the next room. And of course, someone was there. Now his face was entirely in the opening, so the boy, who whispered his name was Lark, was standing there. CJ didn't decide to say a word, just stare. He didn't bother to try and sneak out of the tree, which would just be awkward and weird. The weirdest thing possible..

Errik walked through the forest towards his favourite hang out spot, the tree house. He climbed up the ladder, and entered the house. As he walked across the floor, he heard voices coming from another room. He stuck his head into the doorway, there were two boys standing there. "Hey guys, hows it going?" He asked them.

Lark stayed quiet when he discovered that someone else was there on the other side of the treehouse. It was kind of awkward, as they both didn't say anything. Just... Stared. Luckily, someone broke the silence when another guy climbed in the treehouse and asked how it was going.

Scratching the back of his head, Lark laughed nervously. "Heh. Nothing much, actually. Uh, so..." He took multiple glances between the three of them. "Who are you guys? I'm pretty sure he," Lark pointed to CJ,"Already knows my name."

There was dead silence for at least a minute, CJ just staring at Lark. The boy had curly hair, nothing like his. Okay, well a little bit. CJ heard more footsteps, not from the Lark character. He stretched, now all of his body in from of the opening. It was someone a bit too familiar. CJ didn't know this figure personally, but it started to bug him. Did the boy meet him in the woods, out in the district somewhere? CJ heard the guy's voice, and completely recognized him. The Victor of the 32nd Hunger Games.

In response, CJ raised his shoulders, letting them slowly sink to the normal position. "Uh, I'm Cole, but I.." He hesitated. This conversation was quite awkward. Not awkward like when he was forced to speak to other people. This time, it was much more difficult. CJ was talking to a Victor, someone who could chop his head off. "I like CJ.." The boy said, in an extremely quiet tone.

Errik looked at the two boys, he didnt recognize them. "My name is Errik, its a pleasure to meet you both." He replied introducing himself, and holding out his hand. "What are you doing here?" He asked walking over to the kitchen to make himself some lunch. "You guys want anything?" he called out behind him.
